That's so epic mate! Great video, and what a great fight that thing put up!! My heart was in my mouth the whole time, then when it was only just hooked I was like geeeez mate 🤣 Keep up the good work, well done on persisting for this chunk of a thready.
We have caught both Bull sharks and Thread fins and they do have a very similar feel on the rod. Both seem to just grab the bait and run away from where you are trying to pull. We have only got them towards the mouth of the river where the ships dock and as soon as they feel you pull, they go the other way and try to go under the dock. You have to have plenty of room to pull them up or use the boat the drag them gently out and then fight them. Not a lot of head shakes.
@@BrisVegasFishing The Bris River is so good to fish in. My Son and I are very new to lure fishing and have fully taught ourselves how to do it, with Video's like yours. Never stop posting and know that beginners like us really do depend on Vids like yours. Cheers for the reply too.
A Question for anyone out there. If I catch a tagged fish, can I take it? If so, is it considered rude to do that? We have caught a few before with tags and my Son said to put them back, which we did but I have never been real sure of the thoughts and rules around it.
It is always nice to hear of people letting tagged fish go. But it’s perfectly fine to keep a feed of fish at the end of the day, even if it is tagged.
I’ll mostly just run 20lb main line to a 40lb leader if I’m in relatively open water minimal structure. If there’s structure I’ll run 60lb leader but still keep the same main line.
Goodo 20 must give that little rod a hiding i love the atomic rods ive also been lucky enough to land a couple of threads in the past on 8 pound fishing for bass right up at colledges crossing 85 and 96cm they were heart in the mouth battles anywho thanks for the info keep up the good work HAPPY DAY'S 👍
