A hot air balloon timelapse film of Bristol Balloon Fiesta 2014.
From 7th to 10th August 2014 the grounds of Ashton Court Estate were transformed to make way for the 36th Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. As the largest ballooning festival in Europe, Bristol Balloon Fiesta attracts hot air balloons, balloonists and spectators from around the world.
This time-lapse film of the 2014 Bristol Balloon Fiesta was made over the course of Friday 8th and Saturday 9th. Unfortunately the balloon ascent scheduled for 6pm on Saturday was cancelled due to bad weather but the Night Glow event (at the end of the film) went ahead and was spectacular. Throughout the day there were other events such as Spitfire flying displays and music acts.
It was my first time visiting the Bristol Balloon Fiesta and I was mesmerised by the balloons. I thoroughly recommend visiting if you get the opportunity next year.
