In this video, I head from Bristol to London onboard Megabus, checking out the facilities, the journey and how I got a fare so cheap!
by the way, it was actually cheaper when I did a trial booking two days before I booked this one

I generally prefer National Express as they stop at services on route where Megabus tend not to. I also find their seats more comfy but I do like the Megabus legroom. There is very good competition from Manchester to London which keeps fares cheap and much cheaper than Avanti trains. National Express tend to run direct where as Megabus calls at Birmingham and or Heathrow. I have not used FlixBus in the UK yet.

NatEx serve services a lot less now than they did pre Covid. The only routes which serve services now are really long routes with a long gap between stops (such as the London to Scotland routes which don't stop for hundreds of miles or London to Penzance on the routes which don't go via Bristol) or those which have a benefit of using the services (such as Norton Cannes where if NatEx stop at the services, they get to go through the tolls for free). NatEx and Megbus are on very different networks now and so on some of the more core routes, there are more express buses not serving here, there and everywhere but there are also some dismal trips which stop at every village with a population higher than 30. On all of the operators websites, you can see how many stops there are on the way.

Coaches vary with different operators, especially with less stagecoach involvement now. I did the Cardiff to Glasgow overnight and it was operated by a Maclean’s travel coach with poor legroom. Great vlog as always.

Thank you :). I always thought the Maclean's bus was alright, as I had it multiple times on the M11x, but now I see they've put the regular double deckers on them now

I had a 900 citylink coach on the M17 from Glasgow to Southampton. Least it had more seats .

Lots of rail enthusiasts already review the train services. Less so the coaches so Someone Explores is more important particularly as the operators are more susceptible to criticism as monopolies are fewer..

Nicely judged with interesting incidental info. Blue sick bags or for trash? Cover as many as you have time for and can afford please. Noisiest suspension I have ever experienced on a recent Nat. Express service form H'row to Norwich. No chance of sleeping.

Camera shaking at the start of the video not good, so thumbs down from me. I wish you edit that to make it smooth.
