Luis: You certainly did! Lol....My son is 34 and I play my Brit Floyd mix all the time on a nice Bluetooth Loudspeaker ....in the bathroom occasionally when taking a soak. He doesn't really like it.....I will keep working on him though! This song: " On The Turning Away" has become one of my more favorites this past year. Edo Scordo does a great job on the lead on this one. Exceptional job I think!
Edo Scordo is an absolute professional guitar player for a young man I’ve been to many Floyd concerts over the last 30 years and when I see this guy play I was blown away
This Is Really, Really, Fuckin' Brilliant! they did everything PERFECT Sound,Timing, vocals, and super clean and this guy with the solo is the best part ,,,,,good job guys!
I saw them live in April '23, going again Nov 4 in Philadelphia. You really have to see them live to get the full experience. All the timing and musicianship of course, but the POWER of the music when they play live is incredible... these really are modern masterpieces that show what modern instruments and amplification can do in the proper hands. Also, the backing vocalists change a bit over time, but they are always phenomenal, and my favorite parts when the guitar solo is soaring and the girls are backing it, like here, and the solo in Not Now John from Final Cut.
I used to struggle with all the Floyd tribute bands that are around but I’ve come to think about it in the same way as an orchestra playing a symphony by Beethoven or Mozart. These are classic songs that will stand the test of time long after we’re all gone. This interpretation is spot on. Very well played and if these guys are ever on tour in my town I’ll be going. Great stuff.
I have seen Brit Floyd 8 times. The last time was just last week 4/7/22. Each Pink Floyd melody they recreate takes me to a different and awesome place...On The Turning Away is my favorite.
Just saw them Sunday in Elmira. 11th time so far. Kinda had a post concert depression thing going on yesterday. Have not had that since was a Kid. You look forward to something real bad, and it comes and goes and you`re left waiting for the next Concert which may never come. These Guys and Gals are awesome, hard working, talented Musicians.
I admit I'm a die-hard Pink Floyd fan, I've been listening to the music since I was 13, so 47 years. I haven't heard a better group than Brit Floyd who are able to cover the original so well and still bring their own style to it. Keep it up!! You guys are really great.
Because it's not about heart and soul anymore, it's about money and how much they can make from the music. I saw Floyd in 94, tickets were $65. Tickets for U2's upcoming show START at $400.
I remember being a stoned teenager in 1987 when this song was released. I was as much a floyd fan as any kid ever and I was blown away by it. Live during the DST tour it was incredible and honestly this is as good as the orginial. This band is fucking phenomenal... PIGS is insane!!
If anyone here has not been to a Brit Floyd concert.....DO NOT pass the chance if you can make one. Saw them in Seattle 2016; They are AMAZING! Closest thing to Floyd other than the real McCoy.
Matt Hayes Vinyl: Agree., ....All DUE respect to the original, but I've grown to like Brit Floyd's version better actually Edo Scordo does a magnificent job here on the lead in my opinion. Of course, Damien Darlington has always been a stickler for details through Brit Floyd's history. The Aussies' are fantastic too, but I think Brit Floyd has taken the music of Pink Floyd to another level! Much respect for this wonderful band and background singers as well!
The reincarnation of Pink Floyd. I have seen them playing live twice. The videos of the concerts can only show small impressions of that when being live in front of the stage.
Я русский и долгое время не знал перевода текста этой песни. Но даже тогда 25 лет назад она брала меня за душу. Совсем недавно я прочел перевод этой песни. И не сколько не удивился глубокому смыслу ее слов на английском. Всем мира и добра.
The guitarist on the red strat is amazing. Probably the first musician that reminds me of a young David Gilmour in the way he handles and plays the guitar. Fantastic stuff.
This song sends shivers down my spine with its powerful message.... Suffering all over the world, so sad that no one should ever live in poverty.... thus, this cover is absolutely spot on and the guitarist is just phenomenal
I've seen Brit Floyd ten times since 2013. (Would have been 11 by now had the virus not canceled everyone's tours). But Edo's solo on this song at the Nashville show in August 2018 was transcendent. Truly magical. I was moved.
J uelaften101: Indeed . I actually like this version better than Pink Floyd's. All due respect to the original of course....I've seen Brit Floyd three times and plan on seeing them yet again! The Greatest Ttibute Band in the history of music! Go see them!!!
I got into Floyd too late to see them in their prime, but seeing Brit Floyd about 8 years ago took much of the sting out of that error. With Gilmour and Waters nearly mortal enemies and Richard Wright gone to that great gig in the sky, the reality is this is probably the closest you can get to hearing live 'Floyd' performed at the highest level. One notable thing is there was never a moment where the 'this is a cover band' vibe intruded; it was an EXCELLENT band doing Pink Floyd music so faithfully to the recorded versions that it was likely closer than Pink Floyd would have gotten to it in their heyday. Wholeheartedly recommend them to those who want to hear live Pink Floyd music performed with talent, skill and respect for the material. David Gilmour having them perform at his birthday should be all it takes to convince the doubters that this band is worthy of the material.
Timoi: Edo truly nails the lead on this one. Did you know he ended up marrying Eva Avila who is one of the back round vocalists. She was not with the band at the time this was filmed. Check her solo out though here on RU-vid......"Great Gig In The sky" ....Awesome angelic voice and she is a babe too!
Absolutely beautiful. The only thing that got me through a terrible, extremely abusive childhood. Thank you Pink Floyd. Brit Floyd what a beautiful precise band.
This is by far the best representation I have heard from any Pink Floyd tribute band. From the vocals, lead guitar to the mixing of the sound is excellent! (in other words, everything). The high resolution, lighting and camera work, all makes a great presentation. What a superior job done beyond well done.
They use the bands props too. My dad took me to see Brit and when the pig swung out I thought I was seeing shit lol He told me they got the bands props for their shows and how that’s kinda an unofficial endorsement. Brit travels world wide, I saw them in the states
What a beautiful song! Full of emotion and feeling. Edo Scordo is absolutely spot on this solo. What a very talented guitarist! I mean he makes the guitar talk. Another great song by the most technically accurate Pink Floyd Cover Bands ever. That is Brit Floyd. I mean sometimes I can't believe my ears with this band. It's like they breathe new life into these old classis songs and it feels like the first time you've heard them. Just amazing..
Addicted to this one now. Better than the album version, But the original Delicate Sound version was, is and will be is the one of me, but they and especially the guitarist nailed it for 99,9% to get te feeling in the solo. Love to see them in Holland one day
Edo Scordo is a magnificent guitar slinger, great feel, vibrato and timing. Not taking anything away from Bobby Harrison, he is great in his own right, but you can see it in Edo's face and he's feeling it....
