In my hometown of Bolton a pub called Ye Olde Man & Scythe which was founded in 1251. During the English Civil War the Town was besieged by Royalist troops led by the Earl of Derby they eventually stormed the town with the help of Prince Rupert at night during a rain storm, a ma ssacre then occured where 1,600 inhabitants where m urdered. After the civil war the Earl of Derby was bought to Bolton to be executed, his last night was spent at the Ye Old Man & Scythe and the chair he allegedly sat on the night before is still in the pub to this day, although it was broken by the Band The Who by accident. There is also a rumour that the reason their homemade cider tastes the way it does, is because rats swim in the barrels. Another pub in the town called The Pack Horse Inn founded in Medieval times, but for some bizarre reason it has a human skull behind the bar.

On 0:57 I see that the noose, which was washed away in a previous video, has been replaced. There was a river Neckinger & there is a council estate nearby named after this hanging site. God I'm tedious.

My local pub in Walthamstow growing up was on the tv programme "Britains Hardest Pub" on sky 3. Run by the guy who got knocked out by Danny Williams when he had one arm, since passed. It was dreadful. Should take Becky there. 🙃

You should come to Bristol as we have two pubs that claim they are "the spyglass inn" from treasure Island and was a pub blackbeard would drink in, could be an interesting video idea. All I ask is I get an invite, like a clueless tour guide 😅
