I love how you make it a priority to ensure the enclosures look natural and include vegetation from the reptile's native region. Can't wait to see it all completed!
New to your channel and just have to say you guys are a breath of fresh air. You've opened my eyes to whole new aspect of reptile keeping, great job guys and keep up the good work.
We keep a few reptiles outside ourselves (also in wales). Its surprising how well they can adapt given a few basic considerations.. it goes to show that large improvments in reptile husbandry can be made. We successfully keep a yellow belly slider outdoors year round aswell as a hermanns tortoise.. then during the spring through until autumn we have had great success keeping our bearded dragon out there too.
Do you have any cb natterjack toads and sand lizards available, i already have some cb grass snakes, common lizards, slow worms and great crested newts, i just love helping the local population out and have similar set ups like yours
It can be, however there is very little UV transmission through the polytunnel material and so is not ideal for housing animals. However it is a dry, warm place to temporarily bring animals in from out the elements - from time to time.
Depends on what factor determines overall size, Aesculapian’s would be the longest reptile, turtle the largest in weight (potentially) and the eyed lizard is our largest lizard.
