Such commitment from so young a fella. Awsome . i remember saving a pond from demolition by sticking a few Great crested Newts in there. haha. forty years ago , and the pond is still there with houses around it. Well done fella. oh by the way dont tell anyone about the newts, British species anyway.
Do you have any cb natterjack toads and sand lizards available, i already have some cb grass snakes, common lizards, slow worms and great crested newts, i just love helping the local population out and have similar set ups like yours
This is amazing. We should breed more amphibian and reptile to release them in their natural habitat. Even illegaly (if we know what we're doing) Because the government is a bastard that will refuse to reintroduce any specie. Or take a decade to allow one release of a frog. While autorising the release of thousands of invasive bird for hunter to shoot.
Thank you for teaching me something new today! Came across one in a nature reserve here in sweden 3 hours away from the Arctic circle and had to do some research on it. Fantastic creature!
Man just a short video like this can make a ton off difference in the wildlife world. I'm mainly focused and interested in brids. But watching this got me passionate about lizards
Hi guys, I hope you guys are well. Are there any plans for you guys to start posting videos again? I'd love to see a spring tour of the new facility. All the best guys and keep up the good work.
There's an entire wikipedia page about all extinct species that were in UK. That's depressing Dozen of insects, bird from pelican to some owls, reptiles, bears, lynx, moose etc. You guys barely have beaver/boar/pine marten while they are common accross all Europe. Or quickly recovering territory for beaver You are the ecological wasteland from Europe.
@@kjdempsey which are an invasive specie in all Europe. They were introduced illegaly and destroy rivers and pond ecosystem. Same for racoon, lousiana crayfish, nutria etc.
Seriously groovy backtrack! What is it? Good work by the way. Stellar work. I bloody well wish that I'd been as savvy self-assured and mature as you lot when I was your age range. As a passionate lifelong reptile and amphibian lover and herpetoculturist I will be contacting you via the website at some point in the not-too-distant future.
I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't any already in some UK ponds. Some reptile owners tend to dump terrapins and other reptiles once they get fed up of them.
Discovered you on a BBC Future article. It's certainly inspiring to see the things that you two lads are doing all from your own graft and desire. It makes me think that perhaps we need to start taking things into our own hands and acknowledging that we can do something to help, that we don't have to wait around for institutions or governments to move, if we're only brave enough.
How did you manage to breed them? since there are no real guides like many other hobby reptiles.... Was it just trial and error? Or do you have certain sources?
