I remember when Bloods & Crips (and Gangster Disciples) came to my hometown in the early 2000s. As a kid I thought it was weird that guys in my city suddenly started adopting gangs from the other side of the country. I can only imagine how confusing it felt for English people to see people copying foreign gangs.
