Join me on a ride on Highway 3 from Keremeos to Princeton and a stop in Hedley. 40 miles of scenery and twisty road along the Similkameen River in the southern interior of British Columbia.
Pour yourself a coffee, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Thank you Robert for another excellent video, always enjoyable. I came down with a gimpy left leg so my riding days are over at age 73, I do have a 2006 Harley for sale with 20k miles.

Wow, that little town Hedley looked like a good stop for a scoop of ice cream and a cup of coffee! What do they do there for work? Are they ranchers? That looks to me some pretty remote country, scenery is incredible. I love that old single lane bridge in Princeton. Never get tired of your footage. I’ve got guys I subscribe to all over the country, I share your link with. Motosarge is a young guy doing real nice work with the balance between riding and his photography, I’ve shared your work with, along with Jersey Nick Moto.... you always pick the best weather days to ride and film... I know before long I’m gonna watch you get caught in a heckuva thunderstorm. Lol!

Hedley is an early 1900's mining town. The hills above and to the east had several gold mines that the town became the center of. The most famous is the Mascot Mine, Google it for some stunning photographs of the old buildings perched high above Hedley. Hedley is only about 20 miles from Princeton and I expect some people will work at the large copper mine there. Others will work in farming, especially the orchards that are just to the east, and some in tourism. This highway is quite busy during the summer with through tourist traffic escaping the busy city of Vancouver going to the Okanagan Lakes area around Penticton through Kelowna. Thanks for sharing my content I really appreciate it. As to my picking the best days to ride, last year must have been the wettest year on record, I cannot remember a year that had so many rainy days, so it was very hard to pick any nice days to film because there wasn't many. When I read your comment it made me do a double take regarding the weather, I thought "how can he know that?". Anyway we will see how far along I get on editing before summer work takes me away from videos for the season, but maybe.......

@@RobertMerz nearly all your rides look like blue bird days, although I remember your ride thru Independence Pass, Colorado where you got caught in a doozy... I’ve been caught in the same place, which dumped frigid rain on us down the backside of IndependencePass all the way to Montrose... made for quite a long day, but a great story to tell later. Lol.

Farther to the east and you can go to Toad Rock Campground and from there to north to Ainsworth natural hot springs.

Ainsworth Hot Springs is a really neat place, and the whole area around it offers a lot of good bike roads, but just didn't have enough time this trip. Thanks for watching, and commenting.
