We thought that was FUNNY bc we KNOW that’s insane & not true. So it became a running joke to refer to him as that. “I need everyone to know he isn’t the lebron of soccer”… Well I just need all Europeans to think for 2 seconds ! Office Bloke Son, look up the second half of the season for Chelsea during project restart. Pulisic absolutely carried Chelsea and they would not have made the Top 4 without him (in turn would not have won the CL a year later) no matter what Chelsea fans say. Also Chelsea would not have Won the Champions League without him, British people show their true colors by not giving him that credit.

His success at a young age meant that more young americans were leaving academies in the states and heading overseas, rather than a handful of average americans playing in the prem. Now you can genuinely put together a starting lineup of americans playing in some of the best teams across europe rather than fielding MLS has-beens and getting thumped by island nations. while this guy definitely gassed him up lol, he changed the culture of american soccer forever.
Yeah exactly. Before Pulisic, I never thought of watching European football. I've heard of the champions league before, but never watched a game. Barely knew the clubs of players. Then in 2019, I started following more. Now I've been following European leagues for 3-4 years and I'm so intrigued by it. Completely expanded my knowledge and love for the game. Without Pulisic, I would not have known the beauty of club football.
Pulisic is marketed as the "face" of US Soccer, and is referred to as "Captain America" in the American media. Pulisic is a trailblazer for American footballers. His performances for Borussia Dortmund brought greater attention from European clubs on America footballers. Now look at the number of Americans playing throughout Europe. Best American player ever? Don't know about that, but he's a good player and clearly the leader of the US national team.
You guys come across as extremely casual fans. Pulisic was absolutely one of the best players in the premier league during the lockdown era and he absolutely did carry Chelsea to top 4.
I grew up watching Landon Donovan, and I appreciate how he did it his way and how that helped grow the league here in America. Also he’s the reason why I became an Everton supporter. But I like how Pulisic is applying his trade in Europe, and really is giving Landon a run for his money. Longevity, stats, and results all matter and he has all the tools to surpass the old guard and cement himself as the undeniable best.
No Americans actually think USA soccer or Pulisic is all that. We are just trolling. But USA soccer will definitely go toe to toe with Europe, Brazil, and Argentina in the next 10 years because of the growth of the MLS.
@@officeblokedaz I question things more than anyone, trust me. But the MLS only had 12 teams 20 years ago and 19 teams 10 years ago. Now there are 29 teams. Thats dramatic. They are slowly becoming a real American league now. The MLS has been completely irrelevant. They are still pretty irrelevant but 29 teams and counting can only be irrelevant for so long. Its just a matter of time now. I have always laughed at the MLS but I cant really do that as much anymore.
Also there is NO WAY I would take Sergio Dest over Pulisic. That's just insane! If there was anyone I would consider taking over Pulisic it would be Brendan Aaronson who just went on loan from Leeds to Berlin Union. But I would still start any US National Team with Pulisic first and Aaronson second...and go from there.

I sort of keep up with the sport like the OBs do with American sports, but learning with people who actually know the game like the Daz and Aiden is quality. Im an Arsonal and Aston Villa guy in club (first time I ever played FIFA the video game in the early 00s, I would play quick matches with both teams because it went in alphabetical order 😂, don’t judge me) and a Ghana National teamer (my parents home country).
This guy was over selling Pulisic😂 but you guys were also underselling Project restart Puli. Kane was best he had 7 goals in 9 games but puli had 5g2a and was Chelsea’s best player during that time. Salah had 3/4 Mane 4/0and rashford had 3/3 for reference

Christian Pulisic doesn’t have the stats of the greatest American player of all time, but why he doesn’t have any stats he’s made up for in impact and influence. There were not millions of kids, rocking Landon Donovan jerseys when he was in his prime… There are currently millions of kids rocking Captain America jerseys for Pulisic, and he’s not even at his prime yet. He can be probably single-handedly credited for making Americans care about soccer at a time when they were getting ready to write it off. That is beyond the stats and that’s what makes him the greatest American player of all time.

Remember Pulisic was bought for 58 million because Chelsea was LITERALLY about to go on a a transfer ban. Pulisic was on their last chance/day to sign a player before the ban kicked into effect. So they overpaid. Good for Christian but put a lot of pressure on the poor kid, and Sarri either quit or got fired before Chelsea and Christian played 1 game. That seemed to be the problem for poor Christian, coaches kept getting fired lol. The story is mixed if Sarri even wanted Christian. So it's a weird start for the poor guy, who may have never had a coach that went into a season believing in him his whole Chelsea career.

In terms of attacking ability, I think the two best players in American history are Pulisic and Gio Reyna. Arguably Reyna is better than Pulisic, but I take Pulisic. Both are better than Landon Donovan ever was.

A vast Chasm exist between them in terms of accomplishments and trophy production. Segino has done and won little, and only on team's he plays with pulisic Sergio has amazing Foot Skills and attacking abilities. As good as and maybe better than pulisic but pulisic is already won the Champions League and consistently, except for last season been in the top spots of the any leak he's played in. Dest rides the bench wherever he goes. He's got this season to prove to Barcelona that he can ball. Otherwise pulisic aren't even in the same category Puli"s a different gravy.

This host is very enthusiastic about Pulisic and he talks extremely fast because he seems determined to wedge in every single goal and assist in Pulisic's career. I could see Aidan rolling his eyes repeatedly so of course "the LeBron James of soccer" was going to set him off. It's a pretty bad analogy any way you slice it but he's not saying in ALL of the soccer world (as in the next Messi) but rather the best US player , I suppose like LeBron was for years the best NBA player (as I said, it was a weak and hyperbolic analogy). But I do love Pulisic because he plays with so much fire and his game really does have a lot of flare. The fact that he gets injured is more a testament to how hard he plays and how much he sacrifices himself, than that he's in any way injury prone. I'd say in terms of accomplishments, landon Donovan is the best US Player of all time at the moment. But in terms of talent and potential, Pulisic could easily surpass Donovan if he has some more big games on the world stage. As it is, winning with Chelsea and dominating Mexico with the USMT has been a helluva good start.

As an American and a Chelsea fan, Pulisic is def overhyped simply because he's American. I can't even count how many times during the World Cup he couldn't finish a goal. I think the Lebron James of soccer was a poorly worded analogy because I think he meant he's as big to American soccer currently, as Lebron James is in basketball...in terms of relative talent for their country.
I really like Pulisic, but if I had to choose between Pulisic and Donovan in his prime for an international competition, I would pick Donovan every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Ive been watching all your guys videos across 3 channels really enjoy the content but ive got to disagree on this one... first off the guy making this video is ridiculous.. but... Ive watched every chelsea game for 4 years... There were times when he was the best player and when in form during the stretch of games during covid was definitely top 10 in prem... not for the entire season obviously...he was never top 10 in premier league and no serious usa soccer fan believes that they are memeing "the lebron james of soccer" the goal against city secured the season for liverpool though they probably would of won it... when in form he is a serious player... his g/a contributions are on par with haverts and mount for their time at chelsea... he needs to get a run of games in a less physical league and a steady rotation... chelsea have been awful for all attacking players the last 4 years... hopefully he can stay healthy and put something together at Milan... he is a world class dribbler completing the 3rd most dribbles in the top 5 leagues in the past 4 years... he needs to stay healthy... also it appears hes lost some of his explosiveness due to the hammy tear in 2020 but we will find out this season... it may be his last chance but i agree he will thrive.. yunas musah, and balogun should develop to be as good if not better imho, but dest better than pulisic is laughable...
