OB Daz and Aidan react to the outbreak between players during the USA and Mexico football match. Link to original video: • Concacaf CHAOS as FOUR... instagram: officeblokedaz
Every time USA and Mexico play each other, Mexican players start fights with USA players and the Mexican fans get rude and disrespectful whenever Mexico is losing late in the games. It literally happens every match!
It’s because Mexico and Mexico’s fans think they’re entitled to beat the US and be the best national team in CONCACAF… Historically they have been, but they have fallen on tough times When that narrative gets disrupted they don’t handle it well
US/Mexico is arguably the most vicious and violent "derby" in the world. Argentina/Brazil doesn't have this level of violence. Euros won't respect it because it's CONCACAF but these games are absolutely BRUTAL. Last night was no exception.
not to mention the fans fighting each other(mexican-AMERICANS jumping american fan for wearing the US jersey) in and out of the stadium. Typical L-Tri behavior tbh
Yeah, Americans don't do that. That was sarcastic btw. Anyway, the Mexican team is a joke. They can't accept the fact that the US team is now (has been for years) better than them so they resort to dirty play when they start losing. What is more troubling is that I've never seen that sort of shitty behavior adressed by the Mexican managers or the Mexican federation. Pathetic. As for the homosexual slur, that's nonsense. They just have an affinity for Pluto and are voicing their displeasure of it having been demoted from being a planet.
True. Brazil and Argentina were violent rivalry but I think because of alot of the players playing with each other in Europe the violence started to calm down.
To be honest it reminds me of the local derbys here in Argentina. Except that here the fans are separated in different parts of the stadium, with barb wire and 40 meters distance between both.
7:35 That was actually Walker Zimmerman. He's an MLS player. Ream is hurt at the moment, I believe. Easy thing to miss. From a distance, they resemble each other. As for the chaos, can we all please observe a moment of solemn silence for all those dearly departed beers - gone before their time and wasted on the stadium floor?
I agree 100% with the dad’s views on Pulisic’s skills and potential, and 1000% on Chelsea misusing him. Glad to see our guys getting respect and big ups from the other side of the pond. Keep up the good work guys
Dest is part Dutch and Part American. He played for Ajax I think, earned a transfer to Barcelona and got caught up in managerial change, never really got in Xavi's good graces and is inbetween clubs atm. I think he loaned to AC Milan. McKennie loaned to Leeds I think because he thought he could avoid the Juventes scandal I think.
It would have been great if you started with the world cup final. But this is the good thing about rivalries, they bring new people to the game seduced by the energy and anticipation in the air.
Dest is Dutch American. The USSF has done a masterful job in recent years of not only developing the home grown but recruiting the dual nationals to play for us.
@@coyotelong4349some people are against it and i don’t know why morrocco made it to the semi final in qatar with half their team being european born players honestly if they fight and play well ill glady take them which is what these european dual nats have done for us
I was at the game. The referee particularly the second half shoulders a good bit of the blame for the game getting out of control. Mexico, being Mexico, down by two goals, predictably started playing very dirty and the referee didn't get a handle on it in time. He was more concerned apparently about threatening to call the game off because of the childish and homophobic chanting of the Mexican fans when the US goalkeeper was taking goal kicks, then he was about the cynical and dirty play by the Mexicans on the field. Either way it was a nice result for the US
Thank you, you're the only person I've seen agree publicly that the ref let that happen not giving cards for earlier hard fouls like the one on Gio but Pulisic got a card for taking too long to give the captains arm band away
@@psycho1940it isn’t. i’m mexican and whenever i hear someone say it, it’s NEVER used in that context. it’s more so just calling someone a bitch or whore.
Welcome Luke. It's nice to see new fans. For tactics, end-to-end action, and overall game, you can expect an even better match on Sunday. However, if you liked the fighting and animosity from the teams and the fans, then you'll be disappointed.
As an Argentinian I feel that the Canada - US - México rivalry is slowly reaching heights like that of Argentina - Brazil - Uruguay (technical distances obviated, of course...) ...
The best part is that the USA's coach replaced the interim coach two weeks ago and had almost no managerial experience. So the USA pretty much played their best game in several years for a manager who ended the team talk by saying 'idk lads just score more than them'
6:58 The right back Chris Richards who got the yellow plays for Crystal Palace and is actually from my hometown Birmingham, AL funny enough my wife is childhood friends with him and I played in the rivaling youth club in town so if I was a year younger I would’ve been competing against him
4:44 also have Richards from Palace, Ream from Fulham (out with injury), Adams from Leeds (out with injury), and Turner from Arsenal (not first GK at Arsenal though). The US only started one MLS player last night which is a huge sign of progress. All other 10 starters played in top five leagues last season.
@@riccorich players playing in the best leagues in the world isn't a sign of progress? What kind of shit are you on? Good players go to Europe not rot in Liga MX
@Ricco Rich how tf is it not? In what world would you not logically want to field your best players in place for the worst? You'd have to be huffing glue to actively want that.
@@bulletproofman323 it is, because USA will field the best players regardless, you make sound like the best players are only european based that's not true
The majority of the US starting 11 is playing in the top leagues in Europe now. They're not stars but they're there getting experience and more are going this summer.
United States are f**kin legit bro, I'm telling u we are starting to embrace the sport and really trying to improve with both our National Team and our League 💪🏽🔥🇺🇸
Canada will not be easy. Unlike the US, all of their key Europe based players are coming off really good seasons. Their attack is particularly fearsome, led up front by Jonathan David (23 goals in the French league) and Cyle Larin (who almost single-handedly saved Valladolid from relegation and is now one of the most sought after forwards in the La Liga transfer window). The wing-backs are Davies and Buchanan (who had a stellar first season with Club Brugge and is now a major transfer target of several big clubs), and a play maker in Eustaquio (a mainstay of Porto's midfield). Canada's defense isn't quite up to the same level (though Johnston did impress in his first season with Celtic), but they are challenge for anybody. Though they showed their inexperience in Qatar, I expect them to do much better in 2026.
The fact that it takes you a paragraph to justify why Canada is so elite is an indication that they aren't elite. If they were you wouldn't have to write a book.
Canada finished top of the group in World Cup qualifying, defeating the US and Mexico along the way. Yes, they didn't do well at the World Cup. Yet, to be fair, they were in the group with Belgium, Morocco and Croatia, 2 teams that made the semis, and another team that was #3 in the FIFA rankings.
@@hollowpoint2.093 definitely Álvarez (Mexico #4) - I didn’t catch the name nor number of the other one. I still don’t know why Ochoa got a yellow though? He was trying to break it up. Props to Vásquez (Mexico #5, on the bench) though for helping extradite McKennie from that 1st scrum. Montes & Arteaga (Mexico #3 & 5) definitely deserved those reds and hopefully officials will consider some additional sanctions. Dest (USA #2) was provoked, but Red was definitely warranted. McKennie (USA #8) there’s other highlights that show why he got a red (most of the highlights aren’t showing it) - like with Dest a provoked but warranted red - but why make him replace his shirt /before/ carding him?
@@gregweatherup9596 yeah but it wasn’t such a dramatic thing yeah he pushed him but he also decided to let it go after dest pushed him back and wanted to keep playing atleast a yellow for him
@@hollowpoint2.093 (I assume you mean Álvarez) He punched him in the shoulder when play was stopped and neither of them had the ball and Dest was looking away, and then tried to hide it from the officials by trying to make it look like he was just signaling to the ball boy. Never mind a card in a game, that could be interpreted as criminally liable assault by an aggressive DA.
Mexican fans have yelled "Puto" whenever the opposing goalkeeper kicks the ball for decadesbut its not really homophobic. Its more like saying "bitch" but puto can mean both depending on how you use it.
Balogun - Arsenal, Pulisic- Chelsea, Weah - Lille, Reyna - Dortmund, McKinney - Juve, Musah - Valencia, Aaronson and Adams - Leeds, Dest - Milan, Ream and Robinson - Fulham, Richards - Bayern loaned to Crystal Palace, Turner - Arsenal, Stefans was at City, Carter-Vickers - Celtic, among others, Miles Robinson will move to Europe this summer and the US has been committed to pushing its best players to Europe.
Lolololololol Messi, a 5'7'' man is the best athelete in the US! Ever heard of the NFL? They have 6'6" 270 lb edge rushers who are as fast as Messi in his prime.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Balogun Ream Adams Aaronson Wes Trusty Steffen Turner Trusty Jedi Pulisic Slonina Wade all these guys played in the prem this year or were on the books of prem clubs and that's not even counting the American women playing in England.
@@officeblokedaz He's tiny, 5'7 with no strength above his legs. He's good in soccer, but he's not athletic enough to play any other sport besides the one he plays. Not a great athlete.
@@officeblokedaz Yes I've played it. Its just running around, no other form of athleticism. 45 year old house wives can run lol, doesn't make them the best athletes. Soccer is nice because it gives 5'7, 150 pound weaklings a chance to play a sport.
Mexico is in a really bad stretch. The 2 best nations at the moment are the USA and Canada which is the final of the nations league. Allez les rouges. Sunday night final
So true. Mexico is in a real decline now. I'm not even sure if they are the third best team in CONCAF right now. You could make a case that Panama, Costa Rica, and even Jamaica are even with Mexico right now. USA and Canada will be at the top for a while.
@@japcar84 Not Costa Rica. They have declined even more than Mexico. And Jamaica always looks better on paper with their England based players, but they never seem to manage to put it together on the field. Honduras and Panama do have a more promising group of young players and could represent more of a challenge.
You lads forgot about Chris Richard's who plays for Palace and is a REALLY good CB he came from Bayern. He is really young and plays behind 2 solid veteran Prem CB's. Also Dest was born to a Dutch Mother and a Yank Soldier in the Netherlands and he came through Ajax.
Two other USMNT players you didn't mention that play in the Prem: Chris Richards, who started at CB, plays for Crystal Palace, and Matt Turner, the backup keeper for Arsenal. Tim Ream, CB for Fulham, would have been here if not for a broken arm, and the guy you thought was Ream was Walker Zimmerman (another CB, but he plays in MLS). Tyler Adams didn't play in this match as he's still recovering from a hamstring injury. And technically Auston Trusty, another CB on the bench, "plays" for Arsenal (was on loan from Arsenal to Birmingham).
Find the clip from 10 min earlier, Reyna takes a blindsided shoulder to the face. Ref didn't even give a yellow, he lost complete control of the game and a big part of the violence. Ending early because of gay slurs from the crowd was a fitting ending.
This ref was terriable. The video also didn't show Mckennie getting sent off, which I think is pretty much just so the mexican fans don't go more insane.
The thing about the "homophobic" chant is that the word p*to in spanish means b*tch/prostitute while this is true, there are some situations where it is a homophobic slurr, so many mexicans believe and are adamant that they are just saying the b word, the fans need to also understand how it still can be a doscrimatory chant. my suggestion? Say tonto instead of p*to (tonto means idiot)🤷♂️
I disagree if you said with a final "a" then yes, it means prostitute. But if you say with a final "o" it means "gay" as an insult. Also using "tonto" is not likely. As is a very mild word. Is like saying "goofy". Is not harsh. Actually is barely an insult. A mass of 40.000 angry fans won't scream something so polite.
@@Trxpifyz it depends on the context and entonation. If you are calling someone who is not your friend that word, is an insult. Even if he is gay. You can use a lot of insults to your friend as kind of a joke. But they still are insults. And if you say those things to anyone but close friends they will take it as an insult.
Every time we play each other, if Mexico starts losing, you can guarantee that they will try to start something on the field. Their fans aren't any better either.
Would love for you guys to react to the sit down between Kobe and Shaq where they made amends before Kobe’s passing. Very emotional and informative video about their time as lakers teammates
this gone be good! Aaronson, Adams (injured), Balogun, Mckennie, Pulisic, Ream (injured), RIchards, (jedi) Robinson, Turner. are all the prem players I can think of. Handful of other play in championship and other top European leagues.
Mc Kinney was hit in the head by a bottle in a recent match. He later scored in the match with a header, and he taunted the Mexican fans by pointing to his head.
The chant is towards the opposing gk. I went to a US-Mexico friendly in Nashville among 95% Mexican fans. Everytime the keeper boots a goal kick...."ahhhhhhhhh, PUTO!!!" Made me laugh every time. It's not as bad as FIFA makes it out to be but they've been warned so many times.
For UEFA Nations League no one seems to care about for some reason but over in North America our Nations League is the better trophy than our regular competition, the Gold Cup. In Gold Cup a lot of the nations are less likely to bring a full-strength roster due to the fact that it’s held later in the summer and not in a main international window. They want their players playing in Europe to have full pre-seasons to secure or fight for starting positions in their clubs, especially if they’ve just made a transfer to a new club. With Nations League all the CONCACAF nations pretty much bring their best rosters since it’s the main international window. Jamaica brought a very solid roster to the Gold Cup so expect to see something exciting from them. Great video guys
Derby/rivalry, same thing. What would you call Argentina-Brazil? France-England, Peru-Chile, etc? Maybe the word derby gets lost in translation, but what else would you call it?
@@donviajero2580 Not really. Derby is defined as close proximity not rivalry and by clubs, not national teams. It's also only used in the UK, no other countries use that word or anything similar in their language. Argentina v Brazil is just a rivalry. Even in the premiere league, when they say "London derby" it only refers to teams who have stadiums in London, nowhere else in the UK.
@@willvr4 not to be that guy but on google it says it only matters the proximity, and doesn’t necessarily have to be the same. I just feel like no one uses “rivalry” in Europe/South America and am looking for a universal term haha
all I see is nothing but USA lmao y’all don’t even know any of the Mexican players smh doing way better then any USA player in Europe rn… Vamos Mexico 🇲🇽
Canada is pretty good. They were #1 in the region in WC qualifying they have Davies and two other players who are good but, the rest of the team are solid to mediocre MLS players. USA and Canada are clearly one and two in CONCACAF now and the USMNT are very young and getting better. If Berhalter can get out of the way they could make some noise at the '26 WC.
Clearly you guys don’t know the history of Mexico vs USA matches. You obviously support the U.S. Maybe react to games of both teams playing when Mexico wins. Then you’ll see how the U.S. players react.
Haha guy on the right gets it. Youre right they are living in The US and they should have more respect at these games. But anyhow that player wasnt Tim Ream that was Zimmerman. Both have the man bun.
Mexican fans always shout a homophibic slur at the precise time the opponent's keeper strikes the ball on either a goal kick or punt. The slur is four letters and starts with a "P". This has been going on forever.
@@psycho1940Well, they’re basically calling him gay but in a derogatory manner with slang. I don’t know if that is persay homophobic since it’s not in a fear way. It’s meant more as an insult to your manhood in a culture with machismo. it’s certainly crass and provocative.
You gotta watch the refs during the scrums and how he hands out cards I don’t think mckennie did anything he’s sent off also he showed no red to dest and still sent him off
I was wondering why the one who pulled and pushed Weston did not get a red but Weston did? I do think Weston did deserve the red, but the other player should have been sent off as well. Also, why did Ochoa get the yellow?
"Messi is the best athlete in America now" while I get what you mean by this, and he might well be the greatest, he isn't the best athlete. We've got men that are 6'6" 340 pounds that can run a 4.9 second 40 yard dash playing defensive line. We've got freak athletes like nowhere else in the world
Pulisic, Dest, Reyna, Pepi, McKennie -- average age 22. Just need a great GK in lieu of Steffan or Turner. Watch out for Slonina; he's only 19. 2026 hosts for win?!

Dest born in Netherlands because his mom is dutch and dad is american. duel citzenship. netherlands thought dest was going to be a bust for their national team so dest chose usa national to play for. some of the players are military kids born in germany. had to stop because of the anti-gay chants of mexican fans. canada and usa hate each other doing each sport, especially the women.
Messi is the most successful athlete in America. I don't know if people understand just how many giant, supremely athletic people play other sports in the United States. 6'0 - 7'0" athletes who are among the biggest and fastest in the world. There are 210-240lb athletes who are among the fastest and strongest non-track athletes in the world.
Mexico has been historically well ahead of USA but in recent years US has caught up and seems to be surpassing Mexico and the media is burying them and after actions of frustration like this, it's well deserved. Mexican federation is doing everything they can to worsen Mexican football it's sad to see.
Mexico shouldn't be allowed to have fans at any game for the run up to the world cup, no Friendly's in the US, and next time the chant and more importantly the throwing of things at players they should have the match forfeited. It's disgusting that the USSF and FIFA allow this to continue.
