As a British guy with an American fiancée From Mississippi, I got taken to a Basspro Shops And was told its really good for fishing, I said "do i look like i fish to you?" I now love that shop, and fish and. Its hard to get me out of there. I have plans to go fishing with her granddad at there beautiful lake house.
I have workded for Walmart for almost 5 years at one of their MANY distribution centers. It is Walmart's aim to have something for EVERYONE and since they buy is masive bulk they pass the savings on their customers. Walmart pays well and has some pretty good benefits for their associates.
Another great video. Walmart is the best place to shop, they have everything and the prices are good . You need to make a video about USA stores / shops that are not in the UK. and What USA shops you like the best.
Hey Ella, I admire your resilience and not getting too overwhelmed in Walmart. Your shopping cart was filled with items you needed instead of what you wanted. This is why I let my girlfriend take the lead when we go to Walmart.
You only went to the front part of the store. There is a car service center, you can buy tires/tyres, clothes, get some tools for the garage, house paint and in some stores, guns and ammo.
It's so fancy to call a Walmart shopping cart a 'trolley' lol. I know that's what they're called in the UK but still. They are hard to push because filthy hairs and other garbage collects where the wheels spin and no one at Walmart EVER cleans them! You can tell which carts are older because the wheels don't turn at all.
I had a friend that worked in a Walmart for some years and i always heard crazy storys. like people returning old meat in there handbag and no wrapper, or someone randomly screaming at the top of there lungs in the bathroom, was some of the tame ones i was told. So because of that i was always interested about Walmart and its craziness that its always been associated with. when i went over there things were pretty normal and it was a good shop.
Walmart is a mass merchandiser, not a supermarket. Publix would be a supermarket. The next level up from Walmart would be Sam's Club or Costco, member-only stores that sell wholesale quantities to the retail market. So, they will accommodate your needs if you have a large family or like to buy in bulk quantities.
Yup, I enjoy shopping at Supercenter #1 (store 172), where the empire began. It may just look like another Supercenter, but it's a historic place at the same time.
You're staying in a hotel that doesn't have a microwave--- but, it has a refrigerator? That's strange! You should've gotten an efficiency; there are hotels, that have those. I'm so glad you had fun---it was fun to watch you!!!
If you think Walmart is wild, just you wait until you go to a Sam's Club! As an Australian who has lived in the US for the past 14 years, I love Walmart!
Tip on American fruit from grocery store. Buy several apples and after you get home place several apples in a bag with fruit that needs more ripening. You will find much of the fruit is not completely ripe. The apples emit a gas called ethylene that rippen other produce. Peaches are notorious. The plastic bags work best.
I noticed something about nearly every video I have seen where someone visits a Walmart for the first time. They always seem to go to the front section first (cold/frozen/bread/cakes). It made me realize there is kind of an unspoken rule to always go to the back of the store (or non food shopping) first then work your way forward. Also made me wonder how many people don't do that. I couldn't find anything in a lazy google search.
Tetley "British Blend" (also generic store brand "British Blend") is the same blend as Yorkshire Red. Only decent common black tea in the US. Good green teas are easier to come by as there is more demand.
"British Girl Visiting WALMART for the 1st Time" *And spends half the video gushing over the baked goods section 🤣 Was pretty cool to see the wonder and awe. You probably live in a nicer area. Around here walmarts are a cesspool. Hope all is well on your endeavor in America!
I notice there's Herr's and Utz and Tastykakes so I'm guessing you must have been in or near PA. Pretty cool to see things through the eyes of somebody who has never seen our variety and excess before. We really have so much from so many parts of this country. Btw, I recommend barbecue chips or sour cream and onion.
I actually go to Wal-Mart on a regular basis As far as the tomatoes you'd bought, you'd said that you suspected that they cost more because they were listed as organic. That's actually vary likely because in my experience, anything that is listed as being organic typically is more expensive
@@EllaSlingsby the same happened to my when first time visit Walmart but after a few months i was like i can't find anything i need. Now i'm back to Moldova and i kinda miss Walmart here. Good luck in USA)
I feel like this woman never left the house in the uk. Uk supermarkets have Delis, Pharmacies, Bakery’s, Clothing, homeware, hardware electronics plus more. Granted probably not as large in scale or selection but this woman acts like we’re still shopping off a market stall exchanging rations or something
That thumbnail pic is not an American Walmart. Notice the " re" at the end of " supercenter " . Most likely it's a Canadian walmart image she found in a google search.
Is that what you call a posh accent? And Walmart has a terrible selection compared to a grocery store in an upperclass neighborhood. Look for one with an olive bar, deli, sushi bar, and cheese bar.
In an attempt to understand the female mind-set of Walmart. It MUST be how us men feel about Rural King when we're there. Tools, hunting gear, fishing gear, men's clothes that don't look feminized. Real stuff for decent prices.
They just didn’t show the meat section or the vegetables or all of the fruits. Most large grocery stores have butchers so you can get meat cut to order. They didn’t show any dairy. They were obviously shopping for prepared foods since they didn’t have a kitchen.
@@brendafrazier811 This lack of kitchen thing really disturbs me as an Eastern European... How can you call a house "home" without a kitchen? Is more like a hotel room or something...
...exciting until you realize it's all processed, vertical, chemical laced, hydroponics grown food with 10% nuitrition of food grown in our parents times.
Yeah.... Probably shouldn't shop there. And.. The reason why you guys don't have what the usa has is because everything our stores sell is mostly processed or ultra-processed and injected with chemicals. Most countries around the world do not sell American Products. Cheers...
In America, we don't considered walmarts bakery goods are good to eat. You guys in Europe love Walmart, then you would pass out if you ever go to Vietnam. You don't know what fresh fruits and vegetables are until to go to Vietnam.
