.410 ammo has come a long way. In the USA, revolvers in .410/45 Colt have spawned a variety of slug and buckshot loads that are quite effective. I own a smooth bore Henry lever action with rifle sights that makes for a supreme slug gun. Within 50 m, it is viable deer cartridge.
Love The 410, we used to Rabbit Hunt When I Was A Kid ( 35 years ago) & My Dad Had a Double Barrel 410 Side by Side & He Gave Me One For Christmas One Year. So We Had Matching Double Barrels & it Was One Of My Favorite Things- One Day When We Came Back Home From Church Services, someone had stolen all of our guns & all the ammo... I Think it Hurt My Dad Worse Than Me! Now that I am older I wished I had Both Of Those Shotguns!
This is what they all say. I’ve just been talking to someone now regretting selling an AYA Yeoman coz of the association. I’ll try and encourage people to keep hold their guns and also to buy more! The .410 is great gauge isn’t it? Webley and Scott are doing a .410 side by side…
I'm wanting to get a 410, I've decided on a Yildiz spzme. I'm not sure in cartridges - never shot at a pattern plate before but I'm a bit weary of choosing the right cartridge for the 410. I've got my eye on Fiocchi 19gm size 8. I'll be using the gun on clays only. Good choice?
Looks like everyone is using 3” cartridges. In the States we are limited to only 2 1/2” for clay competitions. I would love to attend this event one day.
