British TV Drama: When the Boat Comes In - Where are they now? 

This was & still is one of my favourite TV programmes. Along with my favourite accent. ❤

God, I remember this being on as a child. "Dance for your daddy, my little laddy, when the boat comes in". Seems a lifetime ago.

Man, this brings back memories, nostalgia will do that I suppose. Real actors doing great drama, sadly so many gone now. Trying to think of an equivalent today. Keep up the good work.

Bella was Bills wife in the series.

Sadly only two of the original cast still with us.

When I was young, I thought this was called Wendy Boat Came In.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I loved this series so much & im happy that currently it’s on British telly on Saturday mornings ( 3 episodes !! ) l love British social history & this series is social history at its best. ( in my opinion anyway)

The cast was perfect in this series, i especially loved John Nightingale as Tom, had he not died so young he would have done so many more brilliant things.

Astonishing. if the cancer didn't take them, they all lived to a ripe old age.

The final series was a let down ............. all about Jack Ford living in London, it took away from the whole atmosphere of the NE. It should have finished when he went to the states
