I didn’t know Cracker Barrel existed tbh I’ve never seen what it looks like but I’m American never traveled outside the country so how does the food taste?
where I live we don’t have a Cracker Barrel but there pretty common in the southern states it’s also rlly good I’ve had it several times while going on vacation
Honestly, the principals skit is too accurate. At my secondary school (in England), we had a principal called Mrs Cruncher and a deputy principal called Mr Shanks.
I feel like whoever hires school head teachers purposely pick out weird, creepy, or sadistic sounding names just for the Hell of it. Mr Shanks sounds like a nickname for a serial knife-murderer in Glasgow.
His British schools actually reminds me of my American high school. Which was built during war and riots. Those windowless classrooms really did hit home for me.
Honestly, as an American, my high school looks like a prison, was practically ran like one unless you were a favorite or an athlete, the only decent sports team we had was wrestling, and it was still trash, the band was okay though, and I would rather be lit on fire from the inside than set foot in that building again 😅
My wonderful American school was in the middle of a cow 🤬 field, had ceiling tiles falling down around our desks , and rats running across the music room. America and its school systems suck because the only focus since around 2010 was Politics. Insane mother 🤬 Politics is what our loser people and our loser govt think about. Greedy POS.
As a British student in secondary school, I can just say that in my old school, the walls were bare, but in my current one they are packed with posters so its 50/50 Edit: Also, the toilets one is NOT true. We are not allowed to go whenever we want in all the schools I have been to
@@drpoultry70 then again I've gone to private pretty much my whole life. This is my first year in public school, so I can't confirm nor deny if it's really true and it just happens in public school.
It’s really scary how accurate this video is lol 😆. However some of these actually don’t apply to all American students. Example: “passing by your old school”. First of all I’m from Texas. Second, I always get a nasty chill in my spine every time I pass by my old school. Seriously the only thing I miss from my school was the Pizza days(every Thursday or Friday). Everything else, nope 👎🏼. I had to deal with teachers that gave way too much homework. What’s even worse is that they had the creepiest giant Cheshire Cat grin on their faces when they give piles of homework like that lol 😆.
I'm from Alaska and we didn't have paddles. I just recently moved to TX and my parents signed the forms that gives the principle permission to paddle a child that misbehaves continuously. it was a total shock to me. and our dress code was so strict. we couldn't have colored hair, boys couldn't have piercings of any kind or hair past the collarbone, and our gym uniforms for us girls were WAAAYYY out of the no-shorts-shorter-than-4-inches-above-the-knee rule. all of this was allowed, not including the short shorts, in Alaska. it was a weird transition...
@@Taleri Oh man don’t get me started lol 🤣. However the upside is that my parents hated the fact that the teachers were giving me so much homework(to the point I was staying up till four in the morning to complete it). In other words my parents didn’t encourage the teachers to give me more assignments. This was in grade school man not college.
I grew up in California until I was a senior in high school so for all those years the school Windows the walls were like all windows and at least one side would be.
Funnily enough, at least in my Primary School, I ended up with a very nice head teacher. Which is even more odd when you consider his name was Mr Rugby. I'm not kidding. That was his genuine name. Even funnier, the school was named Bradly Primary School if memory serves right. And my school councilor, I had socialisation issues to put it lightly, was... Called Mr Bradly. I really don't know how such a coincidence occurred.
We should appreciate how for all these "American vs British _____" videos, he travels to both countries just to record their way of life! (This is a joke btw)
WELL YOU SERTANTLY SHALL BE ALLOWED TO WEAR A HAT guess what, I wasn’t allowed to put my hoodie on in class SO WHATS THE POINT OF IT BEING THERE but I am allowed hat’s,I think
You’re lucky. I lost class points for wearing a hat. And one time, I was wearing a hat, my teacher saw, told me to take it off. I told her, sorry, ok, i forgot, and i was apparently being PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE!! Ugh
@@Panda-vm4kk yea I’m lucky in that regard. Some of the parents got really into it and started a petition and so now my district allows you to express creative freedom through outfit choices. Not with hats tho 🤪😤
during the 2020-2021 school year from the months September to October we were in like those permanent gigantic tents without walls and it got so cold so the teachers were like screw the dress code and people would like wear comfys to school and bring blankets (don't remember if we could wear hats).
Oml, the winter thing in America is so true- it's considered "dress code" to wear stuff like sweatpants or anything that looks pajama related, but the teachers & principal don't even notice it. Some people have even brought full on blankets and wore literal pajamas to school without getting dress coded. I will admit that I do wear sweatpants tho-
Here in Spain, the teacher's just like "go later", and when we want to use the bathroom after recess we can't because "we could've used the bathroom in recess"
The winter skit is so true for British schools. Plus in at least my school the heating was barely on and the windows where broken half the time. And we where on a "moutain" and itwasvery windy all the time
I go to a British school and it isnt that strict (it depends on the teacher tho) and they give us toilet pass, that can literally make the front gate open then we can escape. 01:34 that is true they do have alot to deal with. We got a new school in September 2021 and in the first year it was already falling apart. Doors were smashed the ceilings were broken. Some of the kids were running out of classrooms all the time and there was this one kid which kept on making us have to lock the doors. My teacher said that she was opening the doors and if the kid tryed to hurt you wack them with your book but most people had metal water bottles and they were at our desks so when she said that most people looked at there bottles. Also in year 6 one kid had a pocket knife with them and an other time they had a key and they stabbed someone with it. 🗝️😅 Around 20 kids have escaped the school this year and it wasn't from the front gate it was from climbing. If you have any questions then comment them i will check every 4-7 days. 😊 I hope you have a lovely day.
The other day, at my high school, we walked into the hall to see three garbage cans in the middle of the hallway. …the ceiling was leaking so the school put the garbages there so students wouldn’t slip in the water. That wasn’t even the first time it happened😂
For the first one Britain is actually most likely to look like the American schools but without the couch and replace it with a lil bookshelf with a carpet to chose ur book u want
Depends on the school. In my school they aren’t allowed posters or decorations because they’re distractions and the tables are set out one at a time in rows.
Thats in primary schools man. Most classrooms in my comp had a bunch of tables a carpet a window a desk and a whiteboard. Science rooms had some gas taps water taps and a teacher control board to stop water or gas flow
I wish my school allowed us to go to the toilet- if you ask, you have to show a a toilet pass, which is given to students who have a probelm holding it in. If you haven’t got that, you are not allowed to go, even if you are desperate.
I’m a non-British came from Americanised school system in Asia and raising a British kid - these are all en pointe especially the jumper thing, during PE they’re frozen cold outside even if raining. My kid now at uni traumatised with secondary school 😢
Lolz i live in Scotland (in Britain if u dident know) and yes our teachers are just like yeh go to the bathroom dont be longer than 10 mins or we willsend someone to check on u
I literally was just dying slowly at the bathroom in American schools that happened to me so Damn much LIKE WHY MUST YOU QUESTION MY BASIC NEEDS MR.ZTYLICK
I live in the US and I actually have the same thing as British and also everything about it is true. What school has a sofa what school allows the windows open but school has stuff on the walls what school has comfortable chairs
Iknow your not going to reply to this but didn't you come to my school (with Jenna) in the Netherlands for that victorian play you really look like him and his name was also Tom
As an american Never have I seen something so wrong... yet simultaneously right. American schools TRY to present themselves in the way you have displayed... but the reality is just... the same as British schools, but sometimes someone will bring a gun.
