I must say that I’m rather impressed with Jason’s satirical sense of humour. Jason’s mocking of western media may be sarcastic and critical, but it is absolutely spot on!
I doubt he would meet the high standards and professionalism required to be a real journalist. His reports are merely a poor comedy act. Had he been talking about any other subject than attacking the west, nobody would be watching him.
As an overseas Chinese we are sick of this western propaganda and disinformation on China. My son work in China and we love China. China is safe with great security and excellent infrastructure infrastructure
That's why CGTN is banned in UK because these expat vloggers are getting featured more frequently on CGTN. There's no better way to get the message across more effectively than having a westerner who has stayed in CHina for a long time conveying his personal experience as he sees it, debunking the fake news peddled by BBC. No spice. No frills. Just pure unvarnished honesty & frankness.
@@petersuvara , bbbbbut there's suppose to be "freedom of press" in the UK. Appears more like "selective freedom" . BTW ignoramus, YT & Google is not ban in China. They just refuse to operate under China's Internet laws on the grounds of, get this ...."freedom of expression/speech". But now they're censoring the Orangeutan in US ..LOL So much for "freedom" of whatever BS.
See when BBC actually films real Chinese people talking, he just narrates over them. Better not do any actual interviews or they might commit thought crime!
@@johnfrancisco1851 Why don´t you share some *proof* for those allegations? Oh right you don´t have any xD All you have are *testimonies* by a man named Adrian Zenz who *is ironicaly a neonazi supremacist and radical christian, a human rights abuser himself.* Try harder for your 50 cents CIA/NED paid troll.
@Wood floor “only the strong will survive and the weak will parish” where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, NAZI Germany. China and the NAZI’s also both practice ethnic genocide, an aggressive foreign policy, and the suppression of the individuals unalienable freedoms...
@@thequantumalchemist2965 how about 39 counties in the UN denouncing China for its human rights violations in the Xinjiang province? Do they also not have any proof according to you? 😆
Ok and is he? We know for a fact other China bloggers are paid by the government. It’s not hard to think he is also. I love Chinese people by the way, the government is a different story and not the same.
@@jordandthornburg The vloggers who cooperate with the Chinese government making videos do show the government departments involved at the end of the videos. For instance, Stu of "The China Traveler" has some videos about rural China also disclose the official medias that work with Stu. Therefore, I trust the government does not pay Jason to make these videos.
@@Music4567able sometimes they do sometimes they don’t. Bloggers have been caught lying about that including jayoe nation i believe so he could be still be getting paid. Either way, it doesn’t make his basic point behind the video logical or at all reasonable.
@Unknown exactly we ain't stupid this time like we were at ussr time the one who really hate Muslim is west and killed majority of Muslims in past 40 yrs
Greetings from your loyal fans in England. On behalf of the British people, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you poem: Thank you for all you do for the communities; You make life better for people around you; Your continual acts of kindness brighten each day; What you do for people will glow in their memories.
“Cut that part”, that’s literally how Western media selectively report things and even make up lies about China. Jason’s videos are always fun, good work!
Jason Really surprised to see you Love to watch your videos as well In reality , " LIVING IN CHINA " is one of my favorite channels as well Team AWESOME is going to heat up your channel as usual Keep up the good work Stay well and stay safe Sincerely from the AWESOME revolution
@@crzer07 Stop using my catch phrase You're so pathetic A medication which is called benzodiazepines is strongly recommended for you Take it before you go to sleep , grandpa
Even if he was paid and China sucks, it’s still better than USA. I just visited a bunch of cities in the Midwest and southern states and they are basically ghost towns. Cities are in such bad shape in America. No high speed rail, terrible public transportation and you have to worry about mass shootings or random gun shots. Rural areas are not much better. Take a drive through Arkansas, Alabama, Illinois….etc….pretty bad
Minorities genocides of Uighur, how someone stupid enough to believe that, there even no mass exodus because they fear of their life, like commonly seen in genocides. Their population is rising, odd when they have been genocide for 3 years. But these victims of western propaganda media usually is stupid & low informed person, so you can't expect them can think.
Always been an admirer of Chinese history, We treat our own culture and people like door mats in NZ, Id move to China if i could such a beautiful place
I am Chinese have been living in NZ for 26 years as a Chinese Medicine Doctor. I love my homeland, also enjoy living in a friendly, beautiful country here.
@@taichitommy yes i guess we are friendly here in comparison to some countries, and on the same hand Maori are Maori worst enemy here, i have met more racism in Maori then i have in others. I do hope and wish you and your family the best for the future, 26 years may luna bring you many many more ,
@Josh Xiros and here you are telling someone that you know Chinese culture and history better than the CCP, for one thing, the CCP is Chinese,” you’re not”, The CCP was powerful enough and well enough supported by its people to become China’s government, so surely the CCP is a better gauge of Chinese culture and history than you or any westerner who has imaginings that they know better.
Good on you bro, I 100% agree with you. While NZ is much better than other countries on these issues, there’s still a long way to go, especially to rid NZ of the subtle racism. God, NZ without the Maori and their beautiful culture would be all fish n chips and gumboots. Me too, if I could live in China I’d be there in a day, and I will add to a beautiful place with Beautiful people too
There is absolutely no doubt that the world loves China for its humanitarian efforts and there is a strong reason for China to be a superpower... love from Pakistan ✌
About 20 years ago, I worked in Jinan Shandong for about a year. On the weekends, I would sometimes visit Beijing via train. At that time, I noticed some 7 or 8 Mosques on the train route. Once, I flew into Beijing airport where I saw a sea of Chinese people dressed in white robes, literally tens of thousands returning from performing the Haj. It is therefore right to call BS on the western media so-called unbiased reporting.
Thanks and really appreciate you doing this. I do think that a large population of the Asian community understands and reads both English and Chinese news, so we can formulate a more truthful reality. The fact that I am watching materials on youtube and other Chinese social platforms is a perfect example. Unfortunately, the western society relies mostly on western channels to formulate theirs which are often biased. They understand how biased the media can be when it comes to their own elections, but they fail to see how biased it is when it comes to depicting the realities of other countries.
Don't wory. Ofcourse, the wise and well informed among the Americans and the west in general, know better than to believe western media and western government propaganda against China🇨🇳
Meh. You grow up here being exposed to a 24/7 news real of propaganda, you eventually just get used to it. After that it's all about finding the coolest propaganda piece of the day.
You are so funny. Yes, China is one of if not the most acceptance country in the world. Everyone is accepted and people are treated fairly. I have never experienced racism in China. Great work. Really appreciate you telling the truth. Let's all make this world a better place. War and hate are good for nobody.
Dude... cut the nationalist crap. China censors news and that is a fact, but so does the uk, bbc has a ton of nonsense in it. You need to learn to form your own opinions based of knowledge from both sides. It's not easy but at least you'll stop having your one sided view point
everyone has their good and bad sides. the injustice is the problem. the west doesn't want to give up on injustice. the east changes for much much much better
"the Chinese government, they came in the night, and they took his hair" ... haha... lmfao... I've watched this part for the Nth times... still lmao everytime... 🤣🤣🤣
yea so what about those concentration and sterilization camps , police abusing its power ,no freedom of speech, media censorship and much more....... LIBERATE HONGKONG LEAVE TAIWAN ALONE
Freedom Of Speech of western doesn’t mean that you cannot tell lies. And it doesn’t mean that it’s true always. You can talk about anything and you don’t have to be responsible to it
To tell the truth he will be fine going back to the uk worse things are shown on it’s tv like spitting image. Nobody in the uk thinks it is fair that the bbc is funded by a tv license that everyone has to pay. I think the only other country left with this is japan. Keep up the good work Jason if there is a gap in the market for you go for it keep eating then beefburgers 💪
Chinese: "River's flowing. It's beautiful and calming. Look at the amount and hear the sound... What's this feeling? Was I miising something all this time? It's so calming." Westerns: "Here we are..."
Not all in China are treated equal. Minority are given special rights and privileges ... Protected ... Maintaining tradition and culture is important to Chinese.
1:33 "She wishes to one day to be able to escape from this camp" procedes to "escape" and apparently the fugitive is now his wife 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 this guy is pure gold
Would you say that the youtube channel "China in Focus" which is a news apolitical channel is biased? They report some damming news from China and would like your opinion if it is apolitical since form my view it is.
I once talked with one European. I asked why he believe what he read from newspaper. He said:" The editors and authors are all smart and decent people, So I trust them". Well, this explains why people are so easy to be brainwashed. they just trust the one who write the news not the fact itself. So what ever they write, they would believe.
Lol, his accent made him super cool!! Anyway, I love china and been there as well, and I know few chinese muslims in pakistan. They are some nicest people you will ever meet.
Yep.. I even sent him a question to answer on the "Living in China" channel. (Btw, China = Chain)... Diplomacy... " Is there anything you Disagree with Thew CCP doling?.. Afterall, here in OZ, sometimes the opoliticnas can be complete morons....) Answer?? Nope. wasn't this channel either... I think.... Fking shills ... «bet this gets deleted.
Congrats my brother. Good job telling the truth to people around the world. I suggest everybody watching this video follow him on his channel to get a great understanding of what China is.
as you can see BBC does the most dramatic things like music and obviously critical descriptions without fact-based everything about china without recognizing the years of development and changes in it, just for its own sake to have more audiences, so even more people believe and have a bad view of china
Very funny but he just forgot to read the report of UN human right violations in Xinjiang. Like many foreigners in love with China, for the economical opportunities they have and the perceived adoration from local citizens. Good for him.
To be honest, minority has better policies as Jason said - you get extra additional points when you take University Entrance Exams (A Level tests in the UK) etc......
3:30 in principle and in practice yes. The saying is something like ".. You lose your temper, then you are the loser."... Also for others who have not traveled to China, it will be an eye opener. The culture difference from western culture is huge. Confrontation and direct remarks are not the norm, instead they are indirect or not talked about. The belief is that both parties are trying to solve the underlying issues in the most peaceful manner with good forethought. It is not so straight up like western society is. Not saying any is better or worse, but it's different and shouldn't be overlooked. They have features that are shared with bordering countries, such as Russia. If you talk about corruption, every nation in this world has corruption. Then, what we don't usually look at is the corruption rate. The best thinking and experience is your own thinking and experience. What do you think?
I worked in the media (community television, professional television, recording studio audio recording) for about 15 years when I was fairly young. I consider it a benefit to not have been formally educated in journalism, or more importantly in video production. It's a long story that I don't have the time and patience to write about now, but due to my position I had a unique experience to have a lot of creative and technical input and feedback. The ability to shape people's opinions and biases both in audio and visual content truly boggles the mind. Change the pitch, volume or even speed of a person's voice, light them with soft or hard lighting, have a different camera angle or frame - these all can materially change another person's attitudes. And this is only the physical arena. Consider the content. For example, Jason uses humour to increase his believability. I never took a psychology course. Scratch that. I never took a formal psychology course but I have done a lot of reading and I spent 15 years in the lab. Long story short, yes, the best thinking and experience is your own thinking and experience. It doesn't make you happier or more content though. A little sadder perhaps.
@@brianbetz7030 wonderful comment Brian. It is great to stay disciplined to our own thoughts and tasks. That is very respectful. Always chase the image or characters of ourselves. Conversely i think it is toxic when others chase what others ought to be. Maybe our spouses always trying to change us for the better and things we need to improve on. Can be good for some, but the very best is when we take control of how we should care for ourselves and others. And then just act or express out how we do things. It can be very powerful when we dictate what we need to do in order to be the best. I hope you share your experience more to others it is very powerful and enables others as well. P. S. sometimes learning on the job well is equivalent to the masters degree of it. 😊 As in an entrepreneur that failed once before is more valuable than someone fresh out of MBA managing the company finances.
