The Texans and the Packer were in this video last year but they went to the playoffs and won playoff games. It’s so unpredictable. Every year half of the playoff teams didn’t make it the previous year.
Exactly. It doesn't take long to become a good team. Unlike baseball or hockey, where it could take years In the NFL you could turn it around very quickly with a couple of good drafts.
Only in the literal sense that every team plays the same amount of games, and if you win enough games you make the playoff's.... but not in any practical sense. There are teams that will not, realistically, make the playoffs. Teams like a Carolina, who was 2-15 last season have not improved their roster to have any real shot at making the playoffs. Now that being said, any franchise can turn itself around in a short amount of time these days, which makes things very interesting.
Broncos have had problems drafting and developing QBs since Elway left and they didn't even draft Elway. Let's see if the Sean Payton/Bo Nix marriage is any different.
@CinesterCharlie Josh McDaniels did the same thing to me. It was hard to get excited for last season. From McDaniels to Pierce, it felt like two different seasons.
As a Michigan fan, I've been saying since before the draft that if JJ McCarthy is going to be a successful NFL QB, he needs to sit for a year or two. He has all of the skills to be good, but he's still primarily raw talent that needs to work on many parts of his game before getting thrown to the wolves
As a Broncos fan, I think most of us are feeling pretty good about how things look right now. We did not feel that way a couple of months ago. But hell, we were still technically in the hunt for the division title until pretty late in the last season, which is crazy because KC won the Superbowl again and we were hot garbage again. Nix and some of our other draft picks are looking solid so far. At this point last year, things weren't really looking good, but we were trying to be optimistic. I think many of us expected to go into this summer with a lot of pessimism, but we've been pleasantly surprised by what's happened in the past few weeks. It's still early and things could go south, sure, but we could end up looking back on this draft class as one where we made tons of "steals" and turned things around. Honestly, that's the big thing about our roster. We have a lot of underrated talent that's flying under the radar. Talent doesn't always reach its potential, but the signs are looking good so far. We've picked up some decent players in FA and trades too. We're obviously not division favorites, but we've got a solid chance of making the playoffs, and a decent one at even winning the division considering we came as close as we did last year while having a team that was so obviously not the right mix of players. "No chance" is way off, but it's kind of nice to be flying under the radar a bit.
I'm gonna be honest, most of these teams still have a chance of making the playoffs, the same way no one thought the Texans would make the playoffs last year either.
Last year the Las Vegas betting organizations had my Cardinals at a 20,000 to 1 odd of making the super bowl. it was probably a lot less for making the playoffs, but it was still astronomical (in vegas betting terms) I'm just hoping we can get a solid foundation and some flashy wins. We beat the Cowboys, Steelers, Eagles, and Falcons. Falcons were already on a bad path, but ended up losing their division in the end after they lost to the Cardinals. The Steelers, Eagles and Cowboys all made it to the playoffs - and were immediately eliminated. If we can get more of that "Cardinal Cooler Action" I'll be happy. There was a time where we were a constant thorn in the side of any NFC West team that was trying to make a wildcard playoff game. couldn't do shit for wins usually, but always managed to mess someone else's season up as well.
I definitely wouldn't listen to the narrator like he's some football genius because he's not some of those teams he named could definitely be in the playoffs it happens every year.
He also called LJarius Sneed a Tight End and doesn’t seemed to know how to pronounce names like Xavier Legette. I stopped watching TPS like 8 years back when the old guy left. Their stuff has really fallen off since
The issue with McCarthy is that he is so raw that he will likely make the least impact of all 1st rookie QBs that start this year. Maybe he develops this offseason and with the core around him he can exceed expectations, but I wouldn’t count on it.
I’m not a broncos fans, they’re just another football team to me don’t hate em don’t love em but they were good with Peyton Manning. Going back to the Elway days is so disrespectful 😂
Justin Herbert just needs a decent defense to back him up. Not a bottom 5 like he has for most of his career. This year with a competent head coach and staff should make it easier on him. Also the 4th place division schedule and 3rd easiest nfl schedule should help some.
I don't think the Giants will have the worst record like you think they will, however I do think they're in the worst position and will be terrible for quite a while especially if Daniel Jones remains their QB
Yall should react to Baseball Doesn’t Exist’s new video covering the MLB season so far And JJ McCarthy only averaged 15-20 passes per game in college for a reason lol
I completely agree with Aidan regarding the Giants, they will be the worst team in the NFL next season. Daniel Jones is awful, they should have moved on from him this offseason and drafted a QB. At least the Giants will be in contention for the No. 1 pick next year where they can take Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers, or Shedeur Sanders.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Browns absolutely tank this year. They have a super talented roster but constantly underperform. And Watson is not a leader.
JETS with A-A-Ron Can give up now…..that Swollen head Q-back should just retire before he has to take 1-snap in the next season again. (I could have taken 1-snap in the NFL for AARon salary). Rodgers is a loser
Raiders definitely have a chance went 8-9 last year and beefed up the d line and o line with more offensive weapons, Minshew and Aoc is gonna prove a lot of people wrong
@@Tommytwotimes345 I loved their 2nd round pick and I love their coach. But as you said, one of your QBs would have to prove a lot of people wrong, something I don't see happening. They also have one of the toughest schedules and lost arguably the best RB in the league.
@@Klev10 Minshew lead his team to one game away from playoffs with a much less talented roster. Aoc shouldn’t of been starting last year with no starter reps in his first offseason. I’d like to see him with a full offseason with starter reps and having what should be a great qb battle with Minshew, no matter what happens i’m excited for this season.
These kind of videos are so goofy. Any of the rookie QBs besides probably Maye and Penix [just because they aren't supposed to play right away, and in Maye's case New England is pretty bad offensively] could easily play well enough, decent mistake free football for their teams to make a run. Not super likely for many of them but it's possible. The teams to worry about are the ones with no QB at all, or QBs we know are pretty bad. Even some of them could end up making it, if every other part of the team is good enough. It's a fun little 10 minute diversion but it's really based on nothing. edit - yeah, I'm still only on the Vikings part of the video, but these people at this channel are pretty amateur when it comes to sports. Casuals, you might say. You cannot definitively say Minnesota is worse than Chicago right now. Quite possibly, they are. But we simply don't know yet.
