North Carolinian here and life long State fan. was born in 82 so my first year alive was the last time State won the NCAA Championship in 83. State's 83 team under coach Jim Valvano was the original Cinderella Team. You really should react to some of Jimmy V's speeches or the story of the 83 championship where they also were not going to make the NCAA tournament after the regular season and got in by winning the ACC tournament just like this years State team. It even ended in one of, if not the most epic ending in the NCAA Tournament history imo. Jimmy V was one hell of an inspirational speaker. His speech at the 1993 ESPYs is one of the greats, was near the end of his life and could barely walk from cancer and was helped to the stage by Dick Vitale and helped back to his seat after by him and Duke's Coach Krzyzewski. There is also a great ESPN 30 for 30 episode, Survive and Advance about the 83 State team that is just awesome. but back to this years team. It has been a rollercoaster of a season and this has been an extremely exciting tournament. Burns stepped up beyond belief. Dude is a beast and there are rumors of the NFL looking at trying to recruit him because of his size and movement abilities(not sure how seriously to take these, I know he gave up on football a while before college to focus on basketball). and Middlebrooks has been doing awesome while Burns is on the bench. Diarra has been fasting for Ramadan, so has been going into all but like one game without having anything to eat all day and they have been cramming bananas and snacks into him the second the sun goes down on the bench so he can get some energy back. and even so he has been playing his heart out and doing great. O'Connell has also been doing great and even saved the season with a 3 point buzzer beater to carry State into OT for a win over Virginia in the ACC tournament(basically a butterfly effect moment if there ever was one). Horne has remained steady basically the whole season, is an amazing player and is local from Raleigh(where NC State is located). Honestly everyone on the whole team has stepped up has done many things worth mentioning that has brought NC State to where they are now in the Final Four.
I know from past videos that you have friends in Cary. That town in North Carolina is very close to both of these universities. Duke is in Durham and NC State is in Raleigh. Go Wolfpack! I was a student at NC State in 1983: the last time the Wolfpack won the national championship.
I am a nc state fan through and through. I think you will retract your earlier comments about DJ Burns "just being a screener." He is absolutely an athlete with the BEST footwork and touch in the game. Roll the tape. WHY NOT US

North Carolinian here! College basketball here is way more popular than college football. Growing up we watched March Madness games during school instead of doing school work. What's remarkable is NC State was unranked this season and has the most regular season losses of teams that have advanced. It's been fun to watch! Fun Fact both universities are only about 30 minutes apart.
Also just to add some geography. It’s about a 30 minute drive between all the campuses so it’s an interesting tribalism out here lol. You can have a duke and State fan bond over UNC losing.
Born and raised in NC here. Anytime I get to see Duke lose to any other school from NC is a good day lol. In high school they took us on a field trip to both the NC State and UNC campuses. I saw Julius Peppers at UNC. He was about 20 feet away, doing something else, but I saw him 😂
@offiecblokedazsportsreact For the record the 2 combatants in this game are known as the triangle ( duke ( located in Durham , North Carolina , university of North Carolina - chapel hill and North Carolina state ( located in Raleigh) , there is another school : wake forest ( located in Winston Salem North Carolina ) North Carolina was the conference champion, Duke has had national championships and North Carolina state (the team in red had always been the afterthought UNTIL THAT GAME ) everyone who has a brother knows that once your brother annoys you enough they have right to come at you, well this was the COME AT ME BRO GAME everyone had written off NCSU and said they wouldn’t make it passed the first round , now they are one win away from reaching the national championship
That NCState Big Boy is 5” Shorter than Purdue’s 7’4” big guy (saw him in Airport….he is thick and 7’ freak’n 4”)….his mom is 4’10”, dad is 5’10” and the MailMan is 7’10”…..
If you see me matched up against a 7’4” player….i think I’ll look like a small 6’9” Burns unfortunately… I am 5’10” and if i stood next to a person 6’5” ….they’d probably look like a giant lol
