Yes, that was Bill Murray, his son is an assistant basketball coach who was with the Xavier staff during this game. His son is now on the UConn staff and was with them last year when they won the championship.
Growing up with a basketball hoop in the driveway, there were many countdowns from 5 seconds down to ‘win the game’ 😂 It’s absolutely elation when buzzer beaters happen, even at the collegiate level but especially March madness
I loooooovvvvee March Madness. It’s win or go home every game so the college athletes really play their hearts out. I used to do a bracket which is a lot of fun for bragging rights. 😂
You guys have inspired me to get into watching British soccer, love the respect and appreciation you have for our sports across the ocean. Thumbs up from North Carolina (the basketball state)
Us here in Indiana may have to have a word with your state for calling itself the "basketball state". Just joking. Sort of. lol But basketball is on par with religion here. lol
5:35 FURMAN is a very small college in my state that only has a fraction of the athletic budget the state's two competing giants, The University of South Carolina and Clemson. But Furman, along with a number of other small colleges are tough as nails when it comes to their basketball and football programs.
The brackets for the national tournament will be released tomorrow around 11 pm London time. There are 362 colleges that play Division I basketball, triple the number in football. The odd thing about this tourney is that lower and mid-tier conference champions get an automatic bid regardless of a substandard win/loss record or weakness in their overall schedule during the regular season, which typically means that “bubble teams” (quality squads in upper tier conferences with difficult schedules that suffered through some bad losses) could end up on the outside looking in despite being better than most of the lower caliber automatic qualifiers. Cinderella, as it were, always has a chance in this one. Believe me, March Madness always lives up to expectations and this one will be no different.
I grew up in Indiana, so I was a Pacers fans in the 90's/early 2000's. But my dad was always a college basketball fan, and hated the NBA. He always rooted for IU, and it not IU then Purdue. And I can't lie, there is some sort of energy and excitement that March Madness has that the NBA doesn't match or capture.
I was surprised when several UK reaction channel hosts said they didn’t know we had an NCAA basketball championship tournament. I guess they thought our basketball players most went high school to NBA.
Do you watch the NBA? If you did then you will know he hit a buzzer beater in the NBA Finals with the Warriors. Look, his ego has overshadowed and in a lot of ways ruined his talent, but he was a massive piece of them winning their last chip. I will even go the extra step and find the clip. lol (Below this comment) It's easy to hate the guy, I wouldn't want him on my team currently, but if he could get his ego in check, which looks doubtful, he is a really talented player, and itsn't afraid of big moments. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TTvnsq8TfXo.html
On that uk vs unc game they need show how horrible John Higgins the officials was that game. Funny part uk fans founding his roofing company number and called it over 1,000 times
That very first shot in the video is one of the greatest shots no one will remember. As a North Carolina fan, as heartbreaking as that ending was, they came back and won the championship the next year lol. In the second game in the video, they mentioned the last time there was a tournament game in that building was the Kris Jenkins shot 7 years earlier. That was the Villanova shot from the first game they showed in the video.
What are you even saying? This shot will forever be remembered. It will forever be on these sort of clips videos. Winning a chip the following year doesn't erase the previous year. I mean just in this video you have random Britts who now know the shot, and how amazing it was. The fact that you think no one will remember it is actually wild. lol I have a feeling you were so salty when this shot happened and are in denial because one of the best, if not the best buzzer beaters in March Madness history happens to be against your team. lol
@@YerpDerp17 Hey jackass, I specifically said the first shot of the video, which is the Marcus Paige shot. That Marcus Paige shot is the greatest shot no one will remember, cause of what happened next. Got yourself all worked up for nothing.
@@YerpDerp17 Pretty sure he's talking about Marcus Paige's double clutch 3 to tie it as the greatest shot no one will remember due to being overshadowed by the Jenkins winner
@@YerpDerp17You say certain shots will forever be remembered in these clip videos, but two of the most iconic game winners in March Madness history aren't on this video. I would say they will be remembered by people who care to learn about them. The person who made the video probably doesn't even know about them because they are young and only care about what has happened in their lifetime. 😂 What was the oldest clip in this video? Same thing will happen in 20 years.
