A quiet masterpiece. I want her and her fans to know that this fan loves her voice, her quiet, peaceful style and the love that radiates from her. She brings tears to my eyes. Truly a gifted singer. She is a candle un-lit and a prize un-won.
Absolutely beautiful Britta. Your voice is still just as beautiful as the day I fell in love with Jem. Im so glad that you have kept singing. So much emotion. No words can express...
This is a beautifully soft version of this song. Very pleasing and warm. I have shared this with so many of my friends. We are now Britta Phillips fans...
The voice of Jem can do no wrong. Britta is such a talent. She always seems like such a reluctant star but a whole generation of kids grew into adults and remember and enjoy her singing voice for the last 30 years.
I love the way she took an almost perfect song and made it her own while still retaining the mood, beauty and texture...SHe did not try to copy the original song note for note but did it her way and its GORGEOUS!!!!
I really enjoy that type of music, but there are many many artists doing that. Britta's pop-rock voice is phenomenal. That voice she used for Jem is really unique, and I really wish she had recorded some real pop songs with that voice and that singing style.
This manages to be *ridiculously* soothing, wistful and heartbreaking all at the same time. I get the same sort of vibe from this as from a lot of "Owl City" stuff...."Fireflies" and "Vanilla Twilight" especially. Kinda fits with where I am, psychologically, right now.....
I know she's prolly sick of it, but I sat in amazement hearing a voice that I picked up on as a little kid watching the storyline of "Jem"/Jerrica Benton and her band, fighting the forces of evil in the music industry, and always leaving Pizzazz and her crew in the dust. Salute Britta!
