Ok I’ve been keeping myself spoiler free of this game, so all of this is new to me, but this entire cutscene looks so wholesome even with the fan dialogue
I've seen the cutscenes with the two of them, this one in particular is super wholesome. Not to mention both of them are lowkey kinda fruity with all of their interactions.
LOL IKR WTF happened to Roger Craig Smith's voice? It sounds like he started smoking 10 cigars a day since his last role. Sounds like elderly Sonic now.
Pretty impressive how he’s still able to perfectly replicate Sonic’s new deeper voice. I imagine this is how the new Voice would actually sound if it were put on the spot or appeared in an official cameo. Edit: fixed it after 10 months sorry lol

It doesn't feel like he's constantly shouting, like seriously, look at sonic generations, the tone for shouting was just a slightly louder version of the normal voice, which isn't how voices work. The lower the noise, the deeper it is, so going forward, I kinda want both voices, with this one for normal talking and a higher one more like generations and forced for shouting. Obviously, dialogue is more important, so I'm fine of they don't do this, but giving him a range of pitches would help with emphasizing certain lines and matching the tone of the scene, not just the overall story.
Knuckles really has developed as a character and has emotionally grown, whilst Sonic remains exactly the same as one year ago. This friendship is gonna last, I can tell you that.
I like how the writing style in this reflects the tone of Sonic Frontier's writing. They are reflecting on their past mistakes and making references to old games (videos).
This game truly feels like a reboot in a way. Not that it retconned everything prior but more like the franchise is ready to move forward and not give us 10 more years of Green Hill zone 1
I honestly felt genuinely touched by this, and the ending didn’t ruin it for me because I knew something like that was coming. Great job. Edit: I know I’m going to be one of those commenters, but wow, I did not expect so many people to like this. Thank you!

@@crust9889 The bar has been pretty low for Sonic since Sonic Forces, so yeah 5 years ago. Which is very sad but with the movies and Sonic Frontiers out now, here’s to hoping the Sonic franchise slowly heals from its negative reputation.
@@LumosVeil I don’t think Forces was that even that bad not like 06 level or something, but either way, even if we get better games I’m sure we’re still gonna have some people hating on Sonic just for the sake of it.

It's been taking a bit of getting used to seeing Sonic characters be sincere after so many years of memes, snark, and meta humor, but it's such a breath of fresh air. And I'm happy to see others feel the same way!
Absolutely incredible. I love that Knuckles is more mature now, akin to how everyone's characters got more detailed in the actual game, and his Sonic impression is also deep to match! And now he can finally write Frontiers off as a business expense!
Why does this actually feel like a legit thing both Sonic and Knuckles would talk about!? You captured their vibes pretty well, even for parody's sake, and I just love that.
The final reveal was a great way for sonic to avoid having to deal with the genuine feelings of knuckles, you can really tell that sonic for all his bravado is pretty avoidant and tries to maintain his distance, but knuckles being the dense meathead that he is, can't help but try to barge through those distancing tricks, and manages to express his genuine concern for his friend, despite sonic trying to rouse his anger to avoid having to deal with his sympathy.
It's incredible how not only a touching yet completely in character dialogue was born from just a mere few nonsensical lines of a short skit, but also a million other videos based on that first one were as well.
1:18 That awkward silence between both of them, topped off with the zoom in to their 🤨 and 😏 expressions was so perfectly timed with the dialogue that I'd believe this was the actual game's script 💀
I love how knuckles still threatened to kill Sonic as if he didn't just say that doing so was wrong but he still shows concern after Sonic says he wants to die
@@kingnewgameplus6483 Agreed. As a certified idiot myself, we're prone to mistakes and often going back on our words sometimes instantly. But that's all part of the learning process of ours and that's fine since we all grow in our own separate ways.
0:55 Yeeaah hahaha, defined perfectly. And this behaviour just cuts down the freedom, feeling of agency and confidence of the other person. You don't own the people in life and when you try to protect them you might even turn into a tyrant.
The sudden plot twist in the mid-conversation is like how best friends talking to each other. They can be the ones caring for others the most, but also ones with the most "Evil" intention.
I love how not only did you go with your Roger impression, but you even customized it to how it's slightly deeper in this game specifically. Your attention to detail is immaculate!
Avoided this because I wanted to beat Frontiers first but this was actually really sincere before the joke and kinda caught me off guard lol. This is great!
i love that Sonic apologizes at the beginning when Knuckles says he had a lot of time to think with him trapped in cyberspace because IT WAS actually him that trapped him there lmfao
I honestly thought it was just gonna stay normal and wholesome until the end, but there was that nice Jehtt touch right when I thought things were going fine 😂
the sequel we didnt deserve but need. and the reference to over a year ago with the "do you wanna die? yes i do!" joke is what really satisfied me of this aftermath
I think the real reason Knuckles was upset about Sonic flirting with his sister is because he has a secret crush on him himself. Remember that one episode when he was appreciating his beauty? It's all coming together now!
Jehtt has now proven himself with every different voice of Sonic. Ryan, Jason, high pitched Roger, and low pitched Roger. I unironically think he should join the Sonic cast at this point.
Dude, how long can you keep making such great content off of nothing but sonic clips? Seriously, I never even realized how milkable this series was for this sort of thing, but so much of this is so in character amd appropriate, it just fits so well...

I love how accurate these dialogues are, them being good with each other then joking wholesomely, and still angering Knuckles. It's more wholesome than anything I've ever seen. Truly... beautiful.
