Broadway Actress Cries On Stage Following Her Surprise College Graduation

Emily Walton was stunned when she was surprised with an honorary college graduation ceremony on stage after performing in Broadway’s “Come From Away.” When Broadway shut down in 2020 due to COVID-19, Walton and thousands of others in the entertainment industry were out of work. So, she went back to college. “I never felt 100% certain I'd actually finish because I dropped off school when I was 19 and I just didn't know if I ever would,” she said. Inside Edition Digital’s Leigh Scheps has more.

Yeah , I can only dream of these graduation . I completed 4 years of engineering and they didn't give graduation ceremony due to COVID. I don't feel like achieving anything other than student loan debt.

Broadway has a show about the life of Alexander Hamilton. They have one about 9/11. There’s even one about Henry VIII’s wives. They should make one about 2020 and another one about the Salem Witch Trials.
