UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar sits down with Myron Medcalf and Kyle Shiely from the Minneapolis Star Tribune to talk about his upcoming fight with Cain Velasquez
Lesner had come into MMA after college he would have been the champ for a very long time. Lesner was a freak of nature physically! The man is a 2X NCAA champ with a record of 106-5 overall in his four years of college now that is one badass dude! He just got into the fight game too late.
He defended the title successfully a couple times and then a better fighter beat him for it, which is the name of the game. He is a "true" champion. People talk about how great guys like Carwin, Herring and Couture are and Brock, with very little experience, beat them all. People can make there excuses for them, but the fact is he beat them. With the amout of experience he had, coming into the UFC, with only size to his advantage (and in some cases wrestling) I would say he is a true champion.
He was lucky Randy was older than Santa Claus when they fought. He should be embarrassed that tape is out there. Extreme size and youth allowed an inferior fighter the victory. Father Time beat Randy more than Brock did. I do have a lot of respect for the fact. That unlike most fighters. Brock lost money to be in the UFC.
@@rondemurphy4401ure the person that uses all kinds of sentences to hide that jake kos ufc legends left and right. "Retired old". Yes woodley who was the best welterweight on the Planet and champion just 2 years before the fight was "old and retired" XD
@@jorge5275 he was a much bigger and better athlete… Frank is not strong enough to deal with guys that have to cut to 265. Brock Probably fought around 275-280. At the endnote of the day. He was 4-3. Barely a winning record. Won most of his fights against much smaller guys. And pissed hot twice. His legend is much bigger than what anyone else would get for the same thing……
As a Mexican, I respect both fighters for stepping up to a ring. Brook is strong and Cain is smart. If we leave aside white and brown an focus just on the fight, we can all agree speaking trueth. When a fighter thinks after losing a battle that he could of win the fight, they automatically ask for a rematch. Brook has not yet ask for that fight. Cain lost to dos santos by a good punch. Cain felt that he was able to beat this guy, so he asked for a rematch. Cain made dos santos pay and good.
That is a very good point! Cain made Dos Santos pay but there is no way that Brock could ever make Cain pay. Brock would get his butt kicked all over again and probably harder so he is smart to admit defeat and realize that Cain is the better man!
Wesley Carr I think that you bring up some good points. There are definitely more non-white fighters and I would not be surprised if a lot of fighters hand-picked their opponents to make themselves win more and look better. However, in experience, I still see white guys lose way more often to non-white guys than vice verse. Especially, on the all-white sports teams that I have been on. When black guy or brown Mexican, etc are added to the team they are very impressive when compared to the white players, causing even the most racist to accept them. When I have seen non-white teams add a white guy, the white fails in comparison and is often made fun of or even bullied. Not that there are not exceptions. Of course, that is how Jackie Robinson broke down the color barrier in Baseball and all of professional sports. If he sucked, the white guys would have remained racist, but sports has no morality or loyalty. It is all about winning! As we have well seen in the last few years, it doesn't matter if you torture dogs, punch-out your wife, sexually attack women, or even molest children. As long as you win, you are a god! Yes, in Southern California, there are way more brown Mexican and Hispanic/Latino men out there than white men, but I have seen even the strongest white men easily get their butts kicked by much smaller brown men. Not to mention how tough the big boy Mexicans are! Maybe to expand on your point. Not only are there more of them, but many of them are in or hang around gangs. They are much meaner, fight more often, train more. Even so, with all of the low-life white guys out here, they still seem to get their white butts kicked when they fight Mexican men. Not to mention the explosive power of black men! White men just don't stand a chance!
You do know most street fights are decided by whoever gets the first sucker punch in and pours it on from there, not that much skill involved actually as not many have had any formal training at all. plus most non whites are just overly aggressive and alot of whites think like you and just give up before the fight even begins. i have personally seen many non whites lose, its all about mentality and who wants to win more for the most part.
To wesley carr: so sad that you express yourself like that about Cain. I don't think he is semi retarded or that he has mental problems. it does not matter whether they're white black or brown what really matters is that they both gave it a good shot but just because the white man lost he does not have to be ridiculed and you believe by your statement that there are more blacks and browns then whites on this world that doesn't make sense. If what you were saying was true the media would care less whether the winner was white or black because it's true the media only wants to see a winner $$$$. Media is now move by money. Before the 50s most sports if not all were played by whites but its obvious now that other races have become dominant on those sports that is why the whites have become less and less. Yes there are whites that still dominated other sports such as cricket, Polo, golf, tennis, Nascar and bungee jumping but that is because other races are not well accepted in those sports.
I think its the fact he isnt as comfortable with taking a hit to give one. He really doesnt want to get hit so he fights in kind of possum state and then attacks when he has an opening. If you watch a guy like Aspinal, he isnt scared to take a hit so hes more confident in going through the fire to get a finish.
I'm guessing neither one of you saw his fight against cane? or are you too ignorant to go and watch the fight since your precious "tank" was turned into scrap metal.
Oh fuck you and your dumbass excuses. he's a fake wrestler for WWE he's used to the fake action no wonder he got destroyed when he got some real action. man handled him like a little bitch.
Vladimir Obama take your shitty wwe fighters back they suck dick, he can keep taking steroids and women's fertility tablets, and yes i would say it to his face
Vladimir Obama there shouldn't have to be a rematch in order to prove he's a good fighter, if he was any good it would've shown the first time. Also the only rematch Brock would probably want is in the WWE since all the pain is fake there. Michael Myers go fuck off you 10 year old little shit all you know how to do is call me an assholemorondick? Don't even know what that is so I'm not sure whether to be impressed you created a new word or be offended.
It's called the tilta wirl because he went spinning outta control there he got his ass handed to him on a silver platter Cain served a restaurant quality ass kicking hopefully you enjoyed the service don't forget to tip the waitor
+Ted Sullivan It's not talking shit my man, it's simply calling out facts... Brock clearly made a Racial remark with the corona and burrito comment & he got his ass handed to him... and pretty bad I might add. It's like another MMA fighter saying before a fight with an African American, that he'll eat a bucket of chicken and drink a 40 after kicking his ass... Me being hispanic, I found his comment pretty fucked up...but hey life goes on, don't get too sentimental about it.
You do not know Brock's history in pro wrestling do you? He broke his neck during a botched shooting star press, which is a move nobody over 225lbs even trys to do. Brock is an innovator in pro wresting. Plus the dude is a beast and makes an impact everywhere he goes. His name is on the UFC champ list forever now too.
xXMaGoO316Xx He was, but he didn't really have good competition. His only real threat was Shane Carwin, and watch how Brock turtled up after Shane touched his face. I'm not hating on him, but I'm just saying that his championship reign wasn't as glorious as everybody makes it seem. Personally, I like Lesnar, I thought he was exciting as hell (except his second fight with Mir... He held him for most of the fight), but many of his fans are so damn ridiculous. Would I like to see Lesnar fight again? Yes, but his disease prevents him from doing any intensive sport. It sucks.
***** You think your cute don't you? Your comment was in no way insulting to me, it just shows your lack of intelligence when it comes to replying to someones comment for absolutely no reason. *Checkmate Kid!* P.S. feel free to try again if you really need to!
@cujo905 Yeah, honestly, for someone who literally just started fighting and is a beginner, he's fought some seriously top notch fighters for just starting!
bravooooo applause to cain for his fight off the year gracias amigo for this wonderfull fight you gave us mexican people thank you vamosssssss cain you are the real mix arts martialsboxing champion *****
Say what you want about Brock...Mirx2, Carwin, Couture, Herring, Velasquez and soon Dos Santo's..that's some serious competition for a guy who's still a beginner in the sport...He may or may not win the title again but he's been exciting to watch.
Such a great person and a very talented athlete Brock Lesnar is the Beast incarnate long live the beast incarnate Brock Lesnar I'm very proud to call him my idol.
Brock ended his MMA career with a few losses, but he's still the baddest man on the planet in my eyes. If you're getting into a bar fight or a real life fight, I would pick Lesnar over Velasquez, Overeem, Mir, or any other heavyweight. The guy is a wrecking machine and a beast of a man. Unfortunately, he looks like a drunken Irishman in this video.
I just cant stand one sided haters that give no credit where credit is due. I dont claim to be an internet toughguy. And who are you another lesnar hater?
@purplehaze3000 Yesterday, the UFC announced that Brock Lesnar was once again suffering from diverticulitis, the swelling of abnormal pouches called diverticulum in the intestinal wall. The disease's return has forced Lesnar to withdraw from a showdown with Junior dos Santos at UFC 131 in June. Source - Bloody Elbow
