I can't understand why you would say this as long as you have seen her you see baby hairs. Those hairs are a part of the signature look. For you to say means you are not an aware fan. So sorry for you. Have a pleasant and restful weekend
I hate baby hair..I mean real baby hair is cute, like singer Chilli has but if you have to pull hair from other parts of the head and try to make baby hair it looks horrible no matter how many ppl think it's cute
She has baby hairs. They look natural enough. But I get what you mean, absolutely. Some people don't have natural baby hairs and be doing too much to get that look.
2:46 Like this. It looks horrible. Thats why he went to get the black edge control. She needs to fill in those gaps so it looks smooth and natural. She has a low hairline and doesn’t really need her edges laid. Laid edges tbh is cutesy and meant for younger people.
My daughter was braiding my hair with them Bohemian braids, and i noticed her brushing hair out in the front.....i said, "Wth, you doing?" She said," Giving you baby hair! " I said, " If you don't brush my hair back up, we go have some issues! I'm 44 years old. My baby hair days are OVEA!😂😂😂💯💯 TF!!😂😂😂
I agree with the stylist. Ive actually heard someone say she wasnt going to give her daughter too many baby hairs because she didnt want her to look too “grown”. Ma’am your three year old is the one thats supposed to have baby hair, not the 40 year old women that we see walking around with them. Get it together
@@book_worm22 her 3 year old has natural baby hairs the fake shit is ‘grown’. Baby hair trend is timeless and my mom has picture of me with baby hairs AS A BABY. She used Vaseline.
Tired!… TIRED!… soooo tired! 😫 Plus… I never liked the style anyway… NO ONE over the age of 3 years old… should EVER be seen with glued down lashes attached to their forehead… calling it “Baby Hair”… STOP IT! 🤨
Timeless. I dont know your stylist but I agree with him a 1000% and I appreciate that he did not just go with what you requested, having a grown woman "trying to look young"
Baby hair is for babies or is the fine hair that NATURALLY outlines the face NOT those brittle strands that old folks keep pulling and glueing down. It looks a hot, tacky mess and I’m so sick of seeing it everywhere. Thought it’d be out of style by now.
That’s what every stylist should do when the client asks for baby hairs! Every single one! Stylist, let’s normalize walking away from baby hairs! 😂😂😂😂😂
🙄🙄 how to block your money bc you think the world revolves around you. It doesn’t break edges. He was lowkey saying she’s too old for edges. She ended up obviously putting in her own edges further in the video
Wow, just read something today that spoke about being in the present and not worrying about the past or future. Thank You God for that confirmation. 🙏🏾
Baby hair when done in a delicate and subtle manor can give the overall style more of a finished and polished look and is a personal preference and choice. The problem is most don't know how to execute this finishing touch which ideally should create a soft, wispy and delicate frame around the hairline, not thick pasted down hair which is way too harsh and heavy. The end goal should be to create a soft delicate finish to frame, define and enhance the shape of the hairline in a attractive way. It's the incorrect techniques today being used that causes the damage. I'm a old school licensed stylist over 30 years in the industry and baby hair has been around forever and should be a personal choice for the client to make without fear of being criticized or made to feel stupid about it. It has nothing to do with trend but is a personal preference that should be honored and executed "properly-correctly" if requested.
I watched the supremes on hulu last night i loved it… it was beautiful and funny all at the same times especially at the end under the tree😂 everyone’s performance was top tier.
_All_ the exaggeration--baby hairs, lashes, nails, weave, extensions, bbls, boobs. There's something elegant about natural or just using things in moderation.
You can tell she felt some kind of way. I don't think she is use to people challenging her. Probably why she has NEVER been married, despite being a beautiful woman.
Sometimes the delays are a blessing! I have learned than sometimes dangers lie ahead. That’s right be present. And spend that money. Cause some people would truly be in a bind.
I honestly think it depends on your texture of hair. I'm 37 and I naturally have them but I like the more natural look. Like when I wake up and it has a messy look (I love it).
I’m a fan so I want to share this. There is always a path, we might not know what it is but GOD does. There’s a reason for everything especially getting all the delays to get to your destination and especially when it’s beyond your control. God got you to Martha’s Vineyard safely and at the right time.🙏 God has foreknowledge of all FUTURE events. 🙏
Sanaa...you have never lied!!!! My sister and I went through the same thing coming through Charlotte, NC trying to get to Martha's Vineyard for the festival. I kept saying this mess is Trains, Planes, and Automobiles!!! And you said the SAME THING and I am cracking UP!!!! All we could do is let Go and Let God!
Exactly. At the end of the day, why be frazzled when you can be focused🙏🏻? Just watched 'Brown Suga' tonight...such a classic film, and it actually reminded me of someone😁, especially towards the end😌. BTW, Sanaa, you're beautiful🥰.
Hey Sanaa Lathan you look so beautiful and Great actress and I love when you was in the movie out of time with Denzel Washington and Eva Mendes and Brown sugar with Taye Diggs and mos Def and Nicole ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe and Queen Latifah and the perfect Guy with Michael Ealy and Morris Chestnut and The family that preys movie with Tyler Perry and Taraji p Henson and Alfre Woodard and Kathy Bates and Robin Givens and Rockmond Dunbar and love and basketball with Omar Epps and Dennis Haysbert and Debbi Morgan and Alfre Woodard and you look so beautiful in that movie Sanaa Lathan 🌹🌹🖤🖤
I've NEVER had baby hair even when I was a baby! My edges were always long and as an adult, hairstylists pulled hair from my cut bangs to create them dramatically. Didn't matter to me one way or another. 😅
Baby Hairs are a natural thing, if I ask for baby hairs give ne what I asked for, not what want to do. It's MY HAIR, if I say cut it and dye it red, you do what I asked. That's what I'm paying you for.
I remember my flight was delayed. Then we were told to deplane and wait for the next plane. ✈️ Then we stayed in a hotel because our flight was canceled. Come to find out this was during the exact time those Boeing planes were having all of those mechanical issues. So now, I’m glad 🙂 the delays and cancellations happened because they might have saved my life. Thank you Angels! 😇 👩🏽
To my way of thinking, “baby hair” so-called “hair style” is just another symptom of patriarchy and/or the slave mentality; similar to “good hair.” The way Nature/DNA instructs your hair to grow and be is beautiful, periodt
I’m just going to say this. Black woman are PIONEERS ! Yet we don’t know how to get along. Caucasians don’t fight over who’s blonde is better etc ! But we fight each other over something WE CREATED ! People are copying our baby hair styles. Ideally we are putting each other down by not allowing each of us to just “BE” it’s a shame. Give it up please ! Baby hair or no baby hair WE ARE THE BLUEPRINT. Let’s act like it ❤
Dang! 😂😂😂 My edges are not broken they just don’t grow. I don’t need any home remedies or suggestions for hair growth. I’m ok with my edges. They truly are natural baby hairs. A little far back than others, but I’m ok. I style my hair accordingly. I eat my vegetables, take my hair supplements, use my stimulating products and keep it moving. 😂
I’m 44 and I’ve always highlighted my baby hairs. Depending on what’s in style, I’ve made them subtle to exaggerated. Now that they’re almost out of style again, I just adjust.
My love, age is not the reason for plastic surgery, makeup, extensions, false nails, hair dye, or baby hair. Baby hairs came into trend in the 20s during the Flapper Era. Makeup has ALWAYS been a thing and the trends around makeup go from one extreme to the other all the time. False acrylic nails came out in the 50s. Wigs and extensions have been a thing for almost forever for both men and women. Romans are first reported doing plastic surgery during the 1st century, along with other well advanced cultures. There are women of ALL ages that have plastic surgery, some with great work done and others with botched work. It was SUPER common for plastic surgery during the Old Hollywood era as well. The difference is what "look" was in trend at that time. BBLs have also BEEN a thing. Unfortunately now, it's just too common to witness botched and extreme BBL surgeries.
@@katriana_young I ALREADY UNDERSTAND EVERYTHINGGGG YOU JUST SAID....GENERATION X IS STILL WINNING 🔥 WE DIDN'T HAVE PLASTIC SURGERY IN BLACK AMERICA IN THE 80'S YOU NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER SEEN ANYONE IN THE 80'S WITH A BBL WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WTF THAT WAS THOSE ARE THE FACTSSSSSSS FOR GENERATION X
@@Rue100 BBLs are just fat transfer. Placing fat specifically in the buttocks and hip area became a fad in recent years YES…but fat transfer has BEEN a thing darling. Everyday people weren’t able to afford BBLs regardless of race in the 80s love. It was a celebrity or rich people thing. So I “guess” that’s a win for Gen X. Either way, as of today, the Gen X community (Black Americans included) is a large component of the people getting BBLs and plastic surgery my dear. I would waste my time listing many of the celebrities from your generation with plastic surgery and BBLS…but the fact that you’re typing in all caps concerns me. So I’ll let you continue with your point.
No need to compare the generations and be “petty”. Both generations have their strengths. As an 80’s baby, I respect when the older generations respect and guide the younger ones instead of being petty for no reason.
This was weird. I don't know anyone whose hair naturally grows all toward the back of their head. The fine front hairs sometimes grow in different directions.
