We found out later that levels 6 and 7 have much newer outer door tracks (seen at 0:44), evidently put in by Schindler, which would mean that these floors are actually add-ons to the building, and perhaps a key reason for the modernisation was the fact that the old OTIS would’ve only served up to level 5. Not the first time I’ve seen this-the Terrace Heights apartment building used to have 10 floors but they added levels 11-15 on top and designated one of the two lifts to serve those floors post-mod-but it’s always an interesting tidbit.
