I must lead a sheltered life as I only found out recently that Brook Street is apparently Birkenhead's 'red light area'. However, walking down at lunchtime seemed safe enough but I wouldn't want to walk along here at night.
During the day it is an industrial area and is a long, straight road showing how Birkenhead was originally developed.
On a personal note, I feel sorry for those women so caught up in addiction that they have to sell their bodies to feed their habit and I hope they manage to get the support they need to get to a better place in life.
Finally, my camera conked out again so may need to upgrade at some point.
