In memory of our mother, Teresa Simonetti, so we may acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift her life left to us and the pain that her passing brings.
Although Mom was 87, she passed away kind of suddenly, so it makes it hard to say goodbye. I can say that I wish we had more time with her, but we honestly feel that this would be purely selfish of us because she physically suffered daily during the last two to three years. We do know that she is now at peace and her struggle has ended.
Mom’s family and friends were the most important thing to her, and we believe this is where she drew her strength. Being with family is what she enjoyed most of all. Mom endured many struggles in her life. Yet through it all, her love and caring for our family remained her primary focus and always showing her love for us.
Her actions of perseverance taught us a powerful lesson. One of them being, keeping your priorities straight, and keep what is most important in focus, which was love and care for your family. Don’t let distractions or life’s setbacks keep you from this most important aspect of your life. This was her great legacy and example to follow, Keep focused on what’s truly important, not only through the easy times, but also the difficult ones.
Mom, rest in peace. We shall always love and miss you dearly. You will be in our hearts forever and ever.
