Ordered a pair of these from Run Moore in size 11 D. Ordering and shipping was easy and quick! When I got the shoes, I found they were about a half size too long. Called the store, and they sent me a prepaid shipping label. The shoes arrived at Run Moore on a Friday and on the next Monday I received my replacement shoes in 10.5. Great customer service! Love the cushioning of these compared to my old GTS 19's.

I purchased the Glycerin GTS 19 after undergoing an evaluation at my local running shoe store. After treadmill and foot scans they told me I definitely needed a stability shoe. Well after running in them for a week I developed left knee pain and hip discomfort. I already had a pair of the Ghost 14 so I went back to running in that and the knee and hip issues went away. I’ll be a neutral shoe runner always now!

That goes for me too. My left knee hurts after walking in them. And when I switched back to my other neutral shoes, the pain was not there. Tried 3 times and proved to be so. Sadly, I could not get a refund because it was 6 months past from the date I purchased of 3 July with the proof of the transaction made. I don't run but in it as I am a senior person. I like the lightness of the weight though. The shoes were recommended by the sales person at the Brooks branch in Sunway Mall, Malaysia. I hope the maker could kindly explain and make a fair deal to us as customer. 😢

You're 100% right as far fit is concerned. I've noticed that in many models in the last 3 or so years, the US 10.5 was just too short and narrow, so I had to go US 11. I just recently bought the GTS 20 second hand in US 10.5 and it fits like a glove! *muah*

Hey I know this is an old video. But thank you for the content, and explaining the shoes to me. I am about to purchase my first pair of brooks , mainly to use at work, which is 40+ hours a week of warehouse work, so me standing on my feet is the easiest part of my job. The rest is lifting and driving equipment, which is also standing. When I was younger I used to run 5-10ks for boredom, because I was already, boxing,playing baseball and football taking martial arts etc,etc. so it was the only thing left to do. I was to young for a car and the library and ball park or anything a teenager might want to do was over 5-10 miles away. So I started reading books on how to run, so I did. Well now I’m in my 40’s I’ve had 3 back surgeries and have broken more bones then I can count, and I work out and the guys at my gym told me about brooks. I’m not sure if you fill online orders. But I would love to order my shoes from you. Just to show my support ,because of this video. Ty. Ps sorry to not spell check, etc. I’m being rushed out the door.

I have duck shaped feet, Haglund’s bump and am just getting over plantar fasciitis. Throughout these maladies I have used Bondi and Clifton in wide and they have been wonderful. Now that it seems that these things are dying down, looking at Brooks as an option. I know the drop is very different, but any other differences that might keep me away from Brooks?

@@RunMoore thanks for the reply! So far so good. I really like them after pretty much wearing strictly Nike Invincible and Nike Pegasus. I would say these sit in between Nike Infinity and Nike Invincible…close to a Pegasus- maybe a little more cushion LOVE the Invincible BUT not good for standing long periods of time - my ankles feet get “tired”. The Glycerine are just right. I bought the Stealth GTX in Black/Gecko Green. My first Brooks shoes Tried on the Hoka Clifton 9’s and liked these better - more cushion IMO Love the channel and how in depth you go and the comparisons between similar shoes but from different manufacturers etc. thank you!

I have been buying the Ghost 13 then 14 for the past 3 years, I go through a shoe almost every 10-12 months. I walk on cement all day for work and drive alot. The tops of my feet are really starting to hurt along with the balls of my feet. Should I be buying up to this model or changing out my shoes more often? Possibly even buying 2 pairs at once for on and off the clock?
@RunMoore
@RunMoore Год назад
Usually, a shoe's lifetime will be somewhere between 300-500 miles depending on use. If you are wearing a shoe every day for all uses then that will quickly drain a shoe's lifespan. For people on their feet all day for work, we find that they go through the cushioning on their shoes in 4-6 months. Typically we would suggest getting another shoe so you can rotate shoes and keep the cushion alive for longer. You could also look for a shoe with more cushioning than the Ghost. If you want to stay with Brooks, you should check out the Glycerin or the Beast.
@Mike-hg4cl
@Mike-hg4cl Год назад
@@RunMoore that's just what I'll do! Thank you I have been rotating my shoes almost once every 10 months so I think that's why my feet, back, knees, and hips have been hurting! I also will be getting two pairs to try and improve the over all life cycle of them!

@anonymousanonymous-ym9vn
@anonymousanonymous-ym9vn 2 года назад
Wow, did Brooks fix the sizing with the Glycerin? Their Glycerin line has had problems for ages: most importantly not true to size (too short), and sometimes too narrow in the toebox. It's been a dangerous shoe: those sizing issues can lead to injuries. It's also crazy because their Ghost series has *not* seemed to have these issues. Thanks for discussing the Glycerin line's #1 problem, and I hope your assessment of 20 is correct!

Really informative video thankyou! I really struggled last year with Brooks and their sizing which started to put me off repurchasing them - you mention the width is bigger than the 19 - are you finding those you put in wide fittings in the 19s are now feeling comfortable in the standard size this year with the 20?
@RunMoore
@RunMoore 2 года назад
Yes! I sure am. The 19 was short and narrow. This model seems to have Brooks sizing back on track. If anything, this almost seems to run a tad long. Which I always prefer to being a tad short.

Which one should I go for - Glycerine 20 Or Gts 22/23 For 3 miles at faster pace A reply would be appreciated 👍🏻
@RunMoore
@RunMoore 6 месяцев назад
If you plan on going for a faster pace, we actually would recommend the Hyperion GTS. It is in the same cushion level as the Adrenaline GTS. However, the Hyperion is built with speed in mind. It's lighter and more responsive, giving the Hyperion a quicker feel. If you are set on the Glycerin 20 or Adrenaline 22/23, we would pick the Adrenaline. The Glycerin is a bit bulky for faster paces.

Is this shoe ok for general walking with the foot condition Morton's Neuroma? Or is it mainly a running shoe?
@RunMoore
@RunMoore 11 месяцев назад
We recommend trying a shoe with a lower heel drop to take pressure off of the ball of your foot. The Glycerin has a higher heel drop at 10mm. Better shoes to try would be the Altra Torin 7 or Paradigm 7. They both are zero-drop. This helps spread the pressure evenly throughout your foot instead of focusing it on the forefoot. They have the same cushion level as the Glycerin. The Paradigm has stability, but the Torin does not. If you prefer a traditional shoe like the Glycerin, we suggest adding an insert with a metatarsal pad to spread the pressure on your forefoot. The Aetrex L705 is a great insert to help with Morton's Neuroma. You can check out our video linked below to learn more. ru-vid.comsp4cCOiw7kc

@RunMoore thank you for your reply. I'm not a runner but enjoy walking, so I wanted a shoe that is good on pavements as well as walking in the countryside. Which shoe would be best for this to help the Morton's Neuroma and arthritis of the spine? I appreciate your help.
@RunMoore
@RunMoore 11 месяцев назад
 @JulieC49 All the shoes in our store are designated run/walk shoes. Around 60% of our customer base aren't runners, but people looking for an every day or walking shoe. The best shoe would be something with maximum cushion and high support. A few options from some of the brands we carry are the Brooks Glycerin GTS 20, Hoka Gaviota 5, New Balance Vongo v6, Mizuno Wave Horizon 6, and Altra Paradigm 7. The Paradigm would be the best shoe for Morton's Neuroma because of the zero-drop platform. However, they are all great options that will help your feet out.
@JulieC49
@JulieC49 11 месяцев назад
@RunMoore thanks but I thought you didn't recommend Glycerin GTS 20 in an earlier message as it has a high heel drop as opposed to a zero heel drop, which may be better for Morton's Neuroma?
@RunMoore
@RunMoore 10 месяцев назад
@@JulieC49 We don't usually recommend it for Morton's Neuroma. However, we know how different going from a traditional drop shoe to a zero-drop shoe can be. If lower-heel drop shoes feel uncomfortable for you, then the Glycerin GTS would be the best of the bunch.
