These are all great videos, love them, and they are making a huge difference to me... confidence and ability.. just from watching, practicing and going over them.. some are more useful than others per individual but i've enjoyed them.

I absolutely love this series. Helps me tremendously to understand cue ball control also on other shots. Yesterday I made my new highest break of 32 in a game and I feel your videos contribute in a big way to my progress. Keep them coming Steve and thank you!

@@BartonSnooker I have also learned how to screw back from you, but not how to screw full lengthof the table. I have realised that that is technique more than cue power. Something that is not easy to learn. I've been trying to do the colours for 3 months, & I have practised yellow green & brown, with your help, for those 3 months, & I got to the blue, & I thought what do I do now. I'm guessing that you are from Willenhall.

Hi Steve, great vid, & I found it Very instructive, except that when you first pot the brown in this vid, hitting 1 below centre to broaden the angle, and the cue ball lands in prime position to pot the blue. Where the cue ball ends up, it took a while to realise that from that close to the cushion with the right angle,, that I then had to do the opposite & use a little bit of top to get position on the pink from there, because you didn't do a link up shot to the pink. That bit i had to work out for myself and it should have been obvious to me. But I think I can now do it. Cheers

This is something I'm trying to wrap my head around at the moment - playing position INTO the next shot, as opposed to ACROSS it. Like you explain really well here, it's such a small margin of error that the pressure of getting that white ball to stop where you want makes the shot harder. Similar to a shot to nothing, they often go in because you are more assured that you aren't giving your opponent an easy in. When you choose the right way to get on the next shot and you have more concentration to give to the pot. If you over hit it, you end up a bit closer to the next object ball, if you under hit it, you end up further away - as opposed to having more difficult angles with less scope for position. A lot to take in! 😁 I won my first league game since lockdown the other night, felt brilliant! Thanks for the videos mate.

Excellent as usual Steve. Slightly non snooker related question. How are you keeping the audio in sync with at least 3 different video feeds? Does it take much editing?

Hi Steve. Good video. I’ve got the hang of the first brown to blue shot and will make a start on the second shot [ thats the one where the white has gone close to the cushion]. Can you please tell me how far up from the baulk line is the white? Thanks.

Another good video mate. Im still trying to figure out why my game has improved soooo much just by raising my cueing shoulder?
@BartonSnooker
@BartonSnooker 2 года назад
Much better alignment. Really helps with straight cueing and the wrist position. All kinds of things are helped by getting the shoulder right 👍

@@BartonSnooker Oh ok. Well thankyou. It seems to have helped with my match nerves...balls are flying in now, even when I think im going to miss. Your alignment excercise with dominant left eye is very reassuring for me aswell, as this works very well for me.

Hi thanks for learning us snooker. I got eye problem called macula of retina in my right eye. I am a right hand player. After operation i can have both my eyes as a dominant eye. Sometimes is a benefit but most confusing me to play. What is the best way to do? Can i use my left eye instead? Or is it better to try learning to play with right eye? Thanks again

Hi Steve, I want to know what does bite in a snooker cloth means and if it's a real thing or just a jargon?
@BartonSnooker
@BartonSnooker 2 года назад
It's a real thing. It's how well the white ball will grip on the cloth, which means you can get better reaction from the screw ball. Noticeable when playing screw and stun, as well as using side spin.
