6:40 The RSC (Residential Security Container) rating basically means that the container has been tested to withstand a 5-minute attack from common handheld tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers and prybars (under 3 pounds & 18"). Most insurance companies can insure the contents of an RSC up to around $25k if you have a monitored burglar alarm.
This reminds me of my first Liberty safe minus the door rack, that is a nice feature. Mine was similar in size there all Chinese made safes, there not gonna keep anyone out of them for long but mine served me well for years. I think I paid about $700 about 8 years ago. $1399 is outrageous, for that kinda money you can get a safe guard made by Champion. Good review.
They keep getting more expensive each year since the gun industry has grown. More gun owners, more demands for safes. I believe Liberty has always made their safes in America, and yes a safe is only a matter of time before it gets opened. Thank you for watching!
@ Tools Of Freedom you have the best safe review for any Browning 33 series safe (SP, Ultra, MP33, etc.) thank you. I have one question, on the inside of the safe (back - lower right side), is there a hole pre-drilled so you can install a power supply?
Thank you! I truly appreciate the feedback. And yes there is. There is a small plastic cover on it. I chose not to use it on mine. As I prefer the sensor lights for my case. Definitely a great safe.
@@toolsoffreedom407 awesome, I was only asking because I was trying to figure out if I wanted to use one or not. & I definitely like having the option in case I change my mind down the road. I am trying to figure out if I want a version of what you got (FDE) sold through Cabela's or a Hollan 24 Crescent Shield. Biggest differences is Browning: 60 min fire proof rating, better shelving options, front door organizer dpx system. Holla CS series: 75 fire proof min rating, not as good shelving options, heavier 11 guage steel.
Sounds like a safer safe! Lol If you don't have any VERY long guns then the other safe might be better. The interior design is what is so good about the browning to me. I've been wanting to buy another safe, and there are bigger safes, with the same protection level for cheaper and i still can't decide if i should get a different, Liberty, Canon, Big Horn etc. None of them have the interior design of the Browning. I do need another safe now.
For the price I would suggest looking into Steelwater HD series gun safes, has a 2hr fire rating, a thicker 9 gauge body, a 1/4 inch steel plate, 1 1/2" diameter bolts just more of them 20 in all plus it comes with motion activated lighting and power outlet with 3ac and 2usb included. I just picked up their 39 gun safe. HD593924 after weeks of research. It was the best deal I could find. I got a 5% discount for being a veteran and no sales tax in Nevada plus free garage delivery and a concrete anchor kit all for under $2,400 out the door. Hope this helps point someone out there in the right direction.
Champion Medalist 22 vs. Browning Sporter 23 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SLQrwiUg6n4.html check this out! The Browning Sporter 23 busts open and the Champion Medalist 22 did not get damaged im still looking for a safe!
That's a badass comparison! I understand the point and how the champion was stronger, which is great. But the moment someone drives a tractor into my house and tries to pull it with a chain, the bolts in the concrete are probably gonna go first, and I have more things to worry about! Lol
As I mentioned in the video, your budget, your living and security situation and features are gonna determine that. I went with Browning because it provides the average security for the price range and has that rifle rack on the door. I honestly love that more than anything about the safe. Also i forgot to mention in the video, the carpet on the walls is much better and softer than your typical safe carpet, that's just a nice touch. But if you're able to have home security, video surveillance and you live in a quiet neighborhood, get the one you like best!
