I like your show but this is Not a review. It’s a features and benefits plug. Way too much of this on RU-vid. Reviews come from non-sponsored users and gun writers showing the pros and cons of a product as it applies to different applications. No disrespect intended.
I have 3 of them..Always practice with the muzzle break with heavy cartridge models... in my opinion the HCS rifles like heavy bullets. I have the 26 Nosler and 300WM. I also have a 6.5 but she is a LR in 6.5 CM. It is my fave of the 3 of them. She’s sporting a Vortex PST G2 in vortex tactical rings on Weaver mounts. The scope fits snug as a rug. Nice and close and protected by the rifle itself
I have the xbolt canyon in .308 and absolutely love it. It shoots lights out and the gun looks fantastic. Its literally the only rifle i use its that good
I love precision target shooting. I just received the Max Long Range .308. I have the Vortex Viper FFP 5-25X50. Have not shot it yet waiting on the pic rail from Murphy Precision.
I just ordered the hells canyon long range in 280 Ackley Improved. Where i hunt i can only shoot out to 500 yds. But going to use a 168 gr or a 180 gr berger vld in it for whitetail.
I'm a Browning fan boy too. 1. .300 Win mag Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker & BOSS brake (W/ aftermarket black Teflon coating) 2. 5.6 CM Browning X-Bolt Pro I fire lapped the A-Bolt barrel and the X-Bolt Pro barrel came factory lapped. Both are 1/2 MOA shooters!! Thank you Browning.
Browning X-Bolt in 6.5 Creedmoor 22" barrel but the plus side of this rifle is the stock, not the trigger 2.5 pounds would be a better... a Timney trigger replacement.
I have a Xbolt stainless stalker and I’m a little bit disappointed with it. It has the dura touch stock and that’s gone sticky and the bolt feed is as clunky as it gets not trying to hate on it but it’s a bit of a let down
seemed more like a buy this gun because we use it type video vs an actual review type video. no description of how the actions are bedded into the stocks, nothing about how the barrels are done.. just this comes in lots of calibers and a few different models.
30-06. My 1992 A-bolt has taken more animals than my other 4 A-bolt/A-bolt2's combined. It has taken many mule deer, quite a few elk, a couple of moose and a couple of antelope. My other Brownings are 270 WSM (2) and 300 WSM (2). (I hate my Rem 700 RMEF 300 RUM.) I am looking at an X-bolt 300 Win Mag right now...as well as something custom in a .30 cal. But, the 1992 30-06 is still the goto gun in the house.
So, I bought an X-Bolt a few months ago, and for some reason none of the rounds I've used fit? I've used Win Mag and Rem mag. The most recent ammo I've bought was Hornady Precision Hunter 7mm-08 REM 150 gr ELD-X, and it was too small. Any ideas? Edit: it is REM Mag 1-8"
When you're out at the range with the X-bolt Stainless Stalker, how many shots can you make before the point of impact starts moving? With my rifle, it's about 3-5 shots. I'm looking for a rifle that I can spend more time shooting and less time waiting for it to cool down. Thanks for your input and experience.
I have several Browning's some Rems only own Browning because I can get them cheap at auction but I will tell you they are very accurate have shot several deer over 500 yrd's considering Browning designed Winchester since the 1800's I would sooner have Browning
The x-bolts are prone to jamming because of the high ejection angle. Especially in the magnum action. The empty case hits the scope and falls back into the chamber. DON'T BUY!
You bought the wrong scope or mounted it too low. Happens on a 30 nosler I have but the scope has a longer windage turret. Does not happen with a 7mmRM in same rifle but different scope. Rifles are hells canyon long range version. The 30 has the Leupold vx3i LRP 6-20x50 and the 7mmRM has the Leupold VX6 3-18x50. Lean rifle to the right or left a little, whichever handed you are, and the empty case will fall out.
Hey Armando, we like the X-Bolt Long Range with a McMillan stock, shown here at 1:20. Affordable and simple set up right out of the box. Glass from Swarovski is a great choice to top it with. Thanks for the watch and the question!
