Got that right, I consider myself lucky to see Deep Purple on this tour. One of the best I've seen. As cool as it was to see the legends, having an orchestra there would have been incredible.

A masterpiece of the last reunion of the legendary Deep Purple Mk II Sure Gillan is happy that it is performed by another legend..Mr.Bruce Dickinson. RIP MR.LORD..YOU WERE THE CORE OF THAT ERA..
Excuse the nitpickery but: The last reunion (which was the second reunion) of MK II resulted in the album "The Battle Rages On". "Perfect Strangers" was written during their first reunion.
I've always wondered what it would be like to have the best metal singers try each others songs. This was awesome! Bruce Dickinson is a pure professional, loved to hear him sing Gillan.

Great song with a great singer. Would love to hear Bruce sing other songs by Ian...perhaps something like "Disturbing the Priest" or "Child in Time"...
I love it, and I'm a rock-a-rolla, but my parents listened to it all, therefore, we did. Keeps classical alive...Great! When a 8yr old sings Frank Sinatra, gotta love it (AGT). My kids know this and they are friggin Millenials :)

This man never ceases to amaze me. I was Maiden fan but not crazy about them, saw them live in early 2000's....but no one has matched Bruce's ability to sing. He smokes anyone from the 80"s even today. Unbelievable talent.
His voice has changed, for critical ears, so his modulation (more noticeable when he speaks) but that is normal, he's 64! And still rocks like in the old days. He's one of the greateast no doubt about it
Darker and deeper tone. Perfectly normal, as you point out, as the male voice tends to darken with age. But what is astounding to me about Bruce is the health of his voice. He’s retained quite a bit of range for both his age and the overwhelming amount of high-energy performance he’s been doing for decades. He still sings with vigorous energy, with ease, not strained. In many ways his voice improved with time. I think his singing has been even better the last 20 years of his career than the first 20 years.
I my word this is my favorite song and my favorite band. I saw them 1986 in Worcester Massachusetts and they had Arthur Fiedler conducting the music as a giant laser on the screen in the background. I’ll never forget it

Também sou fã do Deep Purple. Tem declaração antiga do Bruce dizendo que o maior vocalista que ela achava era o Gilan. Ele é fã de Deep Purple, ou seja, tem bom gosto.

O Bruce já afirmou em entrevistas que foi influenciado e imitava o Ian Gillan no começo da carreira. Detalhe curioso: o guitarrista Janick Gers, atual Iron Maiden, foi guitarrista da banda solo do Ian Gillan, e posteriormente da banda solo do Bruce e posteriormente entrou no Iron Maiden.
