@Dr. Krupp I just saw Wick 2 the other day. Fun movie (LOVE the dog) but the choreography was on the high side of mediocre. Bruce's gladiatoral battle with Norris was the ultimate in filming a fight scene. And I disagree about Bourne, at least the first one. The Paris apartment fight scene was awesome. One of my favorite. I like the close in, hand to hand techniques.
@Dr. Krupp Check! I get it. I'm totally with you as far as the editing is concerned, constantly changing angles not every few seconds but like 3x in ONE second. It makes no sense to me. You can't see a thing and it just takes away from the understanding what was done. I like to go over these fight scenes in slo-mo and in "Identity" the first fight with the polizi was excellent in technique from a martial arts perspective. The same in the embassy scene. It was well rehearsed, directed and filmed. TBI is one of my favorite action films along with "Taken". That's another series they ruined with the sequels. "Legacy" was good but the ending was disappointing. Very anti-climatic.
It was heart felt learning of one of the greatest material arts of all time. In the films that were made, the producers ask Bruce Lee to slow down his movements due to camera cant see Bruce Lee moves, the speed was out of this world. You cant see it whats so ever.
You know something guys , ?I've seen this over a hundred times or more throughout the years starting in 1973 when it first came out and I still am mesmerized , as we all are. There is no one on screen and there never will be, with as much charisma, animal magnetism and intensity . For me and for all of us he will never grow old he will never disappear and for us he never died and he never will. Be like water my friend we love you Bruce.
I just saw were they are naming the 10 best martial artists ever but to me Bruce Lee was & is the best one ever & no one but no one compares to him, he will live in our hearts forever
He's a legend. I am glad I grew up in the 60s. The Green Hornet was SO much better than Batman. Very bad decision on Hollywood's part to cancel that show. Prejudice is damaging in so many ways.
Enter the Dragon, the strongest and best movie to watch at any time. In particular, when Bruce Lee did a devastating sidekick in the O'Hara match, O'Hara was blown away and several people behind him were blown away, who was really a superhuman or god-like person. Eternal's number 1, Bruce Lee.
When Bruce jumps into the air and demolishes O'Hara with that facial expression, I remember watching it in the theater in 73 as a kid and mentally captioning that scene " this is for my sister"
Enter the Dragon's Ohara battle, Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do is really great to see. After all, this Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon, the strongest and best eternal number 1 movie. No matter how many times you watch it, you will never get tired of it.
I know man. Only Legends have great promos snd 1 liners. Vut gow about the new wrestlers like the Shield. That tall boring Hawaiin wrestler who just says. Acknowledge me.
Greased lightening! I remember when I first saw the trailer for this movie how excited I got and how shocked we were when they announced his death. Those memories are seared into my brain.
It was the guy who caught the 2nd apple at the beginning ceremony from one of the dart throwers. He went on to star in a number of HK movies as a villain.
The most amazing thing about that spinning back kick was that he actually got his head around first with that kind of speed. When I practice the spinning back kick, getting my head around before the kick really slows me down. I still have not got it down.
Best scene ever. I was 12 Enter the Dragon Big Brawl. Fiesta mall in Hamilton Ontario my brother and Jack my other brother oh yeah I'm 52 Love Bruce Lee
These fight scene is the most terrifying fight scene in martial arts movie. the brutality and super cool looks on Bruce. Look at jim kelly and john saxon after the fight. They were practically shocked. This is way to fight in martial movie. I mean look at jet li, donnie yen, jackie chan. Their fight is like acrobatics. Keep punching and kicking, yet the opponent still stands up. Unlike like bruce, just a few kick and punch, that's it. Not to talk about that brutality and no joke matter. I just love bruce fighting style.
I remember watching it in the cinema for the first time as a youth when we came out everyone was kicking bins and poles and one another Alec from Glasgow
Alex Blue The same here when I left the cinema after watching this film; every stupid kid kicking one another and thinking they were Bruce Lee (and they are still idiots 47 years later)!
Love how his facial expressions changed we he saw who he was fighting. My auntie love these movies plus I was blessed with an older brother to put me on these movies. Alot I haven't seen. Five deadly venoms and wu-tang vs shaolin are golden ninja in the deadly trap. Shaolin intruders. 🔥🔥🔥😎😎😎
