This is Tom Waits Jersey Girl covered by Bruce Springsteen. This is technically an easy 4 chord song but the vocals present a challenge. If you work hard on this song you will be rewarded trust me!
I played this song in Philadelphia And I played it in Florida You would not believe How many jersey girls There are in the crowd Or within earshot Of you playing. They make themselves known immediately when you get to cross the road to the jersey side and down the shore everything is all right If you're not playing throwing up you can't even hear yourself over these women All right it is a great song For campfire Or any where at all in any state Yes I'm the guy at 7:00 on a Sunday morning walking through Wal-Mart playing my guitar And singing Everybody here Has a grimace And I am a morning person And I've been told nobody likes morning person So you start playing in jersey girl Even the most Grouchy Individuals Start smiling and singing LOL Such the mood for the day you know
Tony, great job as always! Would love to see you do a lesson of Tougher Than the Rest just to hear and see your passion playing it. Hope you’re doing well and thanks for all you do for us!
Great song, great lesson....learned Thunder Road from you, now this.... working on “If I should Fall behind” and would love to see your take on it. Thanks again Tony!
Thanks Paul! Strumming pattern seems pretty random. I think I just follow the vocal. This is the type of song that accepts all strumming patterns. Just be yourself. Hope this helps :)
