Hi there! Big Springsteen fan here - and also I have a talent for wanna be a guitar player...😁 I always sing along when I play. It makes it much easier to keep the right tempo. And, I have found that - peculiar as it sounds, if I put my lower jaw out, like You know who - I can carry the hardest vocals much, much easier! Have I just revealed one of Bruce's best kept secrets? 😇
Hey Tony, thanks for the lesson. I'm just a beginner and am trying to learn. Love Bruce's acoustic work. I think this setup is great so that we can see chord changes clearly. It would be nice if you could talk a bit more about the progressions at times also mention strumming when there is a change in the pattern or if the chord changes half bar, etc. Also, I would love to see you do a lesson on one of his alternate tuning songs like Two Hearts, from Ties that Bind, at his house.
I'm originally from Montreal but now living in the Ottawa Valley on the Ottawa River. I visited south Jersey often when I was a kid while my Dad went to Atlantic City. Maybe that's what rubbed off on me? Lol. Been to Freehold and Asbury Park a few times. Such a beautiful area. How about you?
Hey Robert, I will definitely try. I've been wanting to learn that version since it's so beautiful. In the meantime, it's definitely a harmonica in the key of F and he starts with 7 blow, then 7 draw. The version that I do in my video is a harmonica in the key of G. Cheers!
