I think that this is the best lyrics he ever wrote. One of the few songs that makes me cry sometimes, driving my truck to work at 4 a.m. A lot of us out there can really relate to this one...
A True Master. This is why they call Bruce "The Boss". I see that there are actually 4 dislikes of this video. All I can say about that is WOW. But that is negativity, and when you listen to a master songwriter / singer like Bruce, you just get lost in the moment of the song; such a positive and uplifting experience. Mr. Springsteen, Sir, Awesome!
Driving home to the "Badlands" of New Jersey from Pittsburgh to see my Wife and Family, down I-76 on a fall day, listenin' to Bruce...doesn't get any better than this...
i love the last line 'meet me in the dream of this hardland' because in your dreams it sure as heck aint a hard land.....but just goin to work everyday: knowin youve done what you can as a man, is the only dream most guys are goin after.....the hard land is just a simple life...long live the boss!!
Bruce is wonderful I love this harmonica and he is awesome 🎸🎤💘🤴💎My dream is to meet him 💘🤴💎 Bruce é maravilhoso eu amo gaita esse som...meu sonho é encontrar com ele🎸🎤💘🤴💎
The fir st time I saw Bruce was at Liberty Hall on Chenevert in1974. A girl that I knew had a boy friend that qorked there and I saw all the shows. I went to see the Boss with no expectations. I was blown away. I knew the late music critic for the Houston Post (later the Chronicle) Bob Claypool, and spoke to him at the concert. He was blown away too. He was one of the first Springsteen proponents in the press. Bruce never forgot that.
so amazing and multi talented. not easy tryin sing & play guitar let along play harmonica & guitar too. hands down amazing, a man for all seasons, his music lives on and on.
I love the mellow version of this without the "hard drive" and anthemic sound of the original. It's fitting that on spanish T.V. he does a version closer to Matomoros Bank or Across the Border. Let's hope we can all arrive at the dream!
52esquire! I also prefer the studio version :-). But I am sure, that Bruce can sing it in high note also on the concert, but mayby he decided to make a difference? He likes making suprises on his live performances.
@CentraCross Um.. yes hes influenced Dylan.. Dylan can write some AMAZING songs one of the best ever.. but no one NO ONE compares to the BOSS. and Dylan def. lacks the passion Bruce does.
