Yes, he was well trained. Mine are not. our pyranees/anatolian male killed our geese when we put him in the small pen (not finished with property fence, he kept running miles away and crossing the highway) so to show his displeasure he killed our last two geese. When we got them as puppies, my hubby kept me in the church parsonage and for years I had to drive to my farm and collect eggs and milk the goats and feed. So when we were given these dogs, he pretty much let them raise themselves. That's not good when you have birds, the dog needs to be trained to the birds. SO we had to lock up our birds and if they get out, they get eaten.

That is HIS flock. These dogs take their job very seriously. We sold puppies to various people and the chicken guy said the dog is not the least interested in him. We have another goat lady that has two of our puppies' litter mates, and they are so aloof, they won't even let her comb them out. one has a horrible dreadlock problem now.

Isekai means "another world". Isekai anime by default are not supposed to have harem or overpowered protags, but most of the titles you see in mainstream do tend to include those, and are thus, the most popular, making otaku seem like pathetic shut ins who love to watch overpowered protags surrounded by women because they are powerless/shy and bad with women, when in fact this is not necessarily true at all. In reality the overpowered characters are just as exaggerated as American movie/tv show protagonists who almost never get hurt or shot because they're they protag, only getting away with scuffs and scratches at most. People seem to forget and only point at anime as if its the only place where OP characters exist when its universal. There's a lot of Isekai with female characters actually, and a few of them too, also have a harem or familial relationships with other females, a few isekai female protags do have a male harem as well. There's a few handful where there are females who are quite interested, but the harem isn't as forced as far as romance goes. There's an interesting isekai with a guy turning into a sword. There's no harem there. Just him and a loli catgirl who used to be a slave, but is now slightly overpowered 'because' of the sword's skill sharing ability. So I'm a Spider, So What?, is a LN of a girl who isekai'd as a baby spider monster in a fantasy world. Interestingly she's not the only protagonist, there's also a male protag at the same time since her entire class reincarnated to the next world, but the spider remains to be the title character. There's no forced romance or harem quite yet though, there's a lot of conflict with politics in both the human realm and the monster realm, so both Isekai spider girl an the other male 'protag' are dealing with a lot on their hands. And even then everything that's happened has been nothing more than a prologue to the real stuff that's about to happen in the next season. What Scrap is describing is the genre of "harem", isekai anime/Light novel titles do tend to have male protags, which may tend to have a harem aspect to them, but not all. It's easy to write, but its not easy to be a good writer. Just like its easy to 'act' but apparently its not easy to act well in english. If you compare acting in Disney/Pixar/Kung Fu Panda (Dreamworks) with eng dubs, there's a huge difference. There are at least a couple hundred voice/acting schools in Japan and the acting quality today is a massive improvement compared with the 80s and 90s anime in japan. In terms of writing, I recommend to stay away from Average Abilities light novel. What I 'would' recommend is the Spider light novel, How I Reincarnated as a Slime (Light novel), and How a Realist Rebuilt the Kingdom. Although the Realist light novel does have a harem eventually, the hero is actually not a warrior and saves the kingdom through policies and administration reforms, the author really knows his stuff in war, strategy, and a much better grasp in law and society and structure than most. The character immediately goes to two wars back to back, and the people around him are far more powerful and overpowered than he is, in fact even in historian accounts of him, he's one of the most unimpressive Kings in terms of his own powers and strengths, but was attributed to his ability to find the right people for the job. When you read Average Abilities you can tell the author tries too hard, through their protag, to act like they know science or education, but they really don't and barely even remember it from their schooldays. Books where the author is actually knowledgeable and helps the reader learn new things in the intellectual way are a much better read. You feel more engaged and its boring to read the same stuff over and over, you need stories that are meaningful and where you can 'gain' or learn something.

Me too. Stuck in the house being sick is a drag (obviously) so it is such a welcome relief… a bit of sunshine here and there throughout the day.
