A pot of hot grits to the face and a cast iron skillet is what he needs. My ex watched me cook and never was abusive near the kitchen. He waited until I was in the bedroom or bathroom. I fought him back. He promised counseling, he cried and begged for forgiveness. I should have left after the first time. On the third time, I left. I use to have a lot of thoughts of what I should have done, but I had to tell myself at least I didn't stay, at least I got away, at least I'm alive and can say I survived domestic terrorism within my own home. I hope others get the strength to leave. It's better to speak while alive than for forensic evidence to speak for you from the grave.

Sarah James You are right. I was a child that watched on a daily basis my father abuse my mother. Then one day BAM she knocked him out with a cast iron skillet. Everyone thought he was dead. I knew he was too mean to be dead. It didn’t stop him, it just slowed him down for awhile. But I was glad she did it.

I love this movie so much. I never knew my ex was this male character, all the key components were present. I am so happy you made this movie. It was meant for me to see. He wanted to destroy me, but I am bruised and not broken. I am still alive and standing .

I pray for any woman going through this. Just know that you are strong. And trouble does not last always. I went through this Physical and Verbal abuse and it does a lot of damage to you mentally and emotionally. You almost start believing in the lies. Domestic violence is not okay. If whoever truly loves you they would NEVER put theirhands on you or talk in any way too break you down .

I was in a relationship like that years ago he used to control me and beat me very badly but it got worse when i got pregnant in 94 he did not want the baby but i did so he threw me down the out side stairs and almost killed me and my baby but god and jesus saved us and the rest is history i left and never went back he is now in prison 4 life and that's where he belongs i am now back with my high school sweet heart eric and happily married thank god

You can't say what you would have done but unless you have been there you just don't know what someone can do to you. You gonna have to find courage and love within yourself to get out. It's hard but not living is harder , feeling worthless , scared. And begin afraid to be alone it's get better when you become free again and don't have to be afraid of your own shadow anymore. U can do anything because you are beautiful just find your beauty.

I’ve been there with a daddy and 4 brothers and a gun and I was still afraid of him. If you’re silent they don’t matter. I took the abuse for over 10 years no children. The last time he hit me a light bulb went off he hit me so hard I felt I was going to die and that was the first time I fought back. I broke free from his grip and never looked back. He stalked me for over a year after. I haven’t seen him in 7 years. I’m in my 30s now. He was evil. He broke my clavicle and busted my eye all have since healed as well as my heart. He claimed he loved me but treated me like he hated me. Ladies run from it. The first time, he pushed me down for disagreeing with him and picked me up and apologized profusely. He gave me anything I wanted and when he was mad he demanded it all back. The experience was demeaning he broke my spirit, but I have it back!

You know I don't understand when an abusive man hits and beats you then they want you too fix food for them and give then give them great sex. They also want you to act as if nothing has taken place and I know for some women we try to over look the craziness. Please ladies and gentlemen if someone is abusive whether it is verbally, physically, or emotionally please get out, no one deserves to be disrespected. Great movie be blessed everyone..

Such a good movie. Thanksgiving for the upload. I was im an abusive relationship at 14. It stopped at 15. He was killed (not because of me) and 30 minutes b4 he was killed he was trying to kidnap for the 3rd time. If he were alive i believe he would've killed me Throughout the abuse i told no one. I suffered in silence. I don't speak of it because he's not here to defend him self. If ur in an abusive relationship LEAVE.

That was me 22 years ago I lost my baby got send to the hospital alot of times I was kept away from my family my grandfather used to tell me leave him he dont love u he will bury u 10 feet under he used to lock me in with my kids at the apartment there was no way out till he got home one day he forgot to lock us in he was in a hurry that he didn't lock the door I grabbed my kids and a suitcase and left I was scared till I felt safe I was hiding so he wouldn't find me but I thank God that I found a guy that I love and till this day has not put a hand on me he raised my kids as his own and loves my grandkids they call him grandpa it's funny that my kids father is missing out of seeing his grandkids grow up thank u baby jesus for putting this man in my path so sorry for being long

If anyone is being abused, not only physically, but also mentally, emotionally, financially, and sexually, don't continue to stay!!!!! I have been there in about every angle. Be encouraged to tell someone that you can trust. Most importantly don't tell that coward you leaving that's what makes them want to kill you or hurt you worse! I just watched my friend get beat down last saturday and then he pulled a gun. Can you believe she turned against me and hit me because i wanted her to call the police/ In the end he got what he wanted. This reminds me SO much of my ex husband.. I used to say the same thing as her.. I just make him angry. It's MY fault.. it took me awhile to realize that, it was HIS fault!! I didn't deserve his abuse, and his cheating on me!! I left.. what's crazy is that, three years after we divorced, he drowned.. crazy, huh?

See how nice and sweet he was to her at first. All abusers are like this; this is to get you where they want you so that he can take off his mask and reveal the true side of himself, which is a narcissistic, abusive p.o.s. This is why in the first 3 to 6 months of dating you don't move in with a man, have sex with him, let him know where you live or work, etc., so when the abusive side of the man is shown, it will be a lot easier to get away from your abuser.

Great movie.... I am a domestic violence survivor.... It was hard to leave even when I knew he was no to or for me I stsyed ....he isolated me from my family and friends for years.... It took me to lose someone so precious to my heart for me to see what was not about... Meaning when my grandmother who raised me got sick and passed he did the unthinkable.... Showed me he would kill me then help look for my body... I got out suffered many losses but I'm still here 💜

hey I did not write those scene in my writing it about a young girl who is college learning music producer creating her music . Tony Miller or someone added old with new writing. To make like theirs he was in acting school in Plymouth Michigan. all of my writing was in a Red and Black bag in it was note books of colors with lyrics and plays commericals. peoms.I have seny CeCe Winans some of them and my church .to help out with homelessiness Tony was living in his van and I offer him a place but he turned it down. those that was homeless in my family they have live in my home with me and my daughter. The first sign of abuse get to stepping with out a Warning go hide get out sight. One doesn't have to say I am leaving unless you want to meet dealt. I have seen abused that led to murder at an early age. One hundred and fifty stabs just counting the ones above the chest. Hate and misery it has nothing to do with love. I'd rather be alone safe and satisfied then to be abused and used beyond recognition. Agame of light slaps and smashing nose will turn into a beat down.

Upsetting film. She was so confident, ran a business, strong,,,then slowly,,slowly, he beat he down physically, emotionally & mentally. Heartbreaking. I was in a violent relationship when I was young, for 5 years. He was quite a lot older than me. He raged at me out of jealousy. He broke my nose, tore the ligaments in my left foot, smashed my head open on a mirror, punched, kicked, & threw me around like a rag doll. I was a petite pretty young girl. I looked 10 years older than my age when I finally left him, & I still have the physical scars. But he didn’t break me. All my love, hope, strength, self worth & courage to all those who are suffering abuse right now. Please get out before they kill you. You CAN break free ❤

Hello Jasmine Congratulations on the short films. This is a real true story and real life.. No man got no busy to put no hands on any woman that's disrespectful and less man.. A real men will respect a real woman all the time.. No man got no busy to disrespectful any woman or other female too.. My mother taught me treat a woman a real respect that will carrying a respect of a real relationship in real life. If a man can respect any woman he don't respect his mother too all the times.
