Brutal Doom Black Edition 3.36 [Rain, Parallax, Visor, Relighting] - Enhanced E1M7 | 4K/60 

My question is - how does he get the universal rain and snow mod to work? I downloaded it and there's no difference. I'm using Doomrunner and am loading right after the Brutal Doom Black mod. What did I do wrong?

Nah man that takes away the essence of OG DOOM. If you want 3D models theres tons of custom created stuff in DOOM 2016. All the beautiful 3D models you want. Theres also some Doom 3 mods.

The source files of this game, called an iwad, are most likely from the "doom classic complete pack" on "Steam" or on "Good Old Games" which is relatively cheap. The mods and engine source port are free. There is a free iwad source file doom game called "Freedoom" that is compatible with some mods, but I've found that using the doom classic complete iwads is much more compatible with mods. It is possible to play completely free, but using freedoom as the iwad will produce weird glitches in mods that aren't fully compatible. I have a "brutal freedoom" playlist that accidentally showcases some of the glitches you'll experience, sometimes enemy deaths don't show the brutal doom mobs sprites ,but instead show the original freedoom mob sprites. Sometimes the sounds played are original freedoom sounds, which are not as high quality as mod sounds and music. So weird things happen if you use freedoom. The uploader of this video has included links to the mods used in this video in the description box above. Installing doom and modding it to this extent is not super easy, and I don't want to discourage you, but fiddling with mods to get the experience *just right* normally takes more than my playtime of whatever mod combinations I use. If you like experimenting with mods in a file browser, and don't mind seeing occasionally busted and goofy stuff, by all means PLEASE download and mod your doom experience. Oh, and make a video and upload it so we can see :)
