I think something that can really boost this build is a couple order tomes. Spirit damage on inflicted does condemn, which is a very good debuff for stacking even more debuffs. Mighty meek from tome of the beacon was one of my highest contributors through the early-mid game. Tome of Zeal can contribute to your inflicters and spearmen, aswell as give you a combat spell condemn. Its really handy for blasting down extra slows and DoTs.

Tried a dark culture alchemy build based on this one n wow!! The cull weak bonus is permanently active n the dmg is nuts!!

I found it's not easy to switch warlocks to alch archers. What was your 6 - units stack?

this works even better if you take it with zaphyr archers and poison arrows. Poison and bleed will stack, and fire, ice and eletric damage will be granted by the passive anyway and these dots don't stack

No, sadly not that easy. Archers don't get the Star Blades passive from the Mystics. So they will only apply bleed and poison.

@@Ic0nGaming I'm typically playing very tall with 1-2 op stacks of units and I was thinking about doing a thematical "alchemist run". The focus will be on t4 transumters with projectiles of decay. Both are opened in t3 tomes. So transumters will be delaling all types of damage except for spirit. And later on I'd pick 2 gold golems for frontline. And for lord I'll pick nature dragon with materium aspect + 30 crit and nature ascession (aoe dot+ heal on breath). So yeah, it mught be expensive late game stack, but it will have tons of CC, DOTs and suvivability + golems are imune to status effect (miasma) and you can heal them with dragon breath or CC enemies with aoe crits with glided magic

@@Ic0nGaming PS: After some tests I figured out this build woks better with high culture+ some order tomes, especially in late game when units have high status resistances. High has easy access to status resistance debufs, which lower the resistances + coordinated strike marks the target and easy access to spirit damage = condemtion and - 3 resistances. There is no point of using dots on low lvl units, since it's easier to kill them and considering 7res of t4 units, chance to apply debuf is 43% instead of 90%, for t5 it will be even lower.

@@mordekaiser2026 Well, I had no issues with killing off T4-T5 units with this build. Could you also explain which Status Debuff I am missing on High Culture? Cause I only see them having direct access to Spirit Damage which triggers condemnation. You can easily put Order Tomes on a Mystic Build for a similar experience. I somehow don't see which Status Resistance Debuffs you are referring to, except for the T3 Battlemages Resistance Stripper. Also: Putting DoT on small units is way better than you make it look like. It frees up more actions to your other people. Miasma + AoE Nuke from one T3 Spellcaster is enough to take down most of a T1-T2 unit cluster the turn after. I personally dislike trying to say this is better or that, cause in the end it always depends on your enemy and your current situation. I do see Alchemy working on High, Dark, Mystic and to a certain degree maybe even Barbarians. It is a very versatile tome.

@@Ic0nGaming yes - the aoe resistance striper from battle mages, or alternitevely this can be cated by high lords/heroes. + it's radiant damage so there is a chance to get EOE resistance strip and condemned if unit stands on miasma. Also found interesting syncergy with chaos eaters. They are dealing fire + random element type of damage, so each attack might trigger different DOTs. With avakening from high culture you can increase their range and add radiant damage, and at the same time focus on other tomes, without investing into order too much. These dots also count as debufs, so you can nuke the enemy and heal your chaos eaters

I'm having so much trouble early game as reavers. Murders and constant city state attacks keep me so bruised that I can't attack and take out anyone. Would love tips.

Wouldn't Hideous Stench be a good replacement for Sturdy & Arcane Focus as it reduce magic resistance & status resistance around your units even more ?

I was pondering this too. I think it would be more effective and harder to play at the same time. Cause this build isn't necessarily ideally made to pin down enemies in melee. And that would be necessary for the stench to be full utilized.

@@Ic0nGaming wouldn't the spellshield be good for that with their AoE stun ? I mean, it would basically lock unit in the same place for a whole turn and improve it's efficiency at the same time. I'm not sure how much you'd use them in this build...

@@kur0shir060I tried and they are just not sturdy enough for the entire frontline duty with this setup. They are T2 after all. Although their skillset is very synergistic indeed. The trick is to keep them alive.

@@Ic0nGaming I was enjoing the feudal build simular to this, before the golem patch: mana channelers and runesmiths feudal(for +20% dmg thingy, thad does extand to mages) evocation(why would I do a mage build without it) -> warding(astral affinity + makes our supports good enough for the long game) Scrying(our first REAL mage dmg dealer + chaos eater now can attack more freely while in enemy lines) -> missfortune(we need more chaos affinity, if we have enough already amp is decent as well, but our dmg dealers won't get racial transform, and we didn't use archers..) dragons(chaos eaters get aoe! + no other major transforms in this build) -> Pandemonium(maybe should come first, depends on the imperium income) Cycles(decay) -> tp(BEFORE the patch, now maybe a decent substitute is to take mirrors so defenders are harder to focus) t5 astral (I believe it should work about the same with mystic culture by swaping warding for rock as first tome, and evocation second) This variant can certanly use the stench, and chaos eater deals inate fire dmg + lighting from evocation would give us both 8 dmg dots via miasma... just not sure yet, how to adapt it to include alchemy tome.... maybe ditch tome of warding....

It's been either the Signature Skills of my main hero (they give +1 Affinity each) or other Heroes giving extra Chaos Affinity. You can always get yourself some extra Affinity via your signature skills. Learned that myself after 250 hours lol.

@@Ic0nGaming Damn. I am in the middle of a campaign and was looking to get Tome of Mayhem. I only have 2 Chaos affinity though. I always take summoning skills on my heroes :(

@@Nostradevus1Yeah mate, combat summons are op as hell even after the nerfs. Affinities are always an annoying issue, hopefully you get lucky and get a Chaos Adept among the Heroes.
