Just a quick tip that I have learned after literally hundreds of hours. The first special ability of your main hero, the one you pick at level 4, adds the associated affinity point to your empire wide affinity points. For example summon animal adds +1 nature, summon elemental +1 materium and so on. Could have made use of this to get the +1 chaos here.
You know what happened when I recorded this episode? I finally realized when hovering over the Mass Rejuvenation where my fricken Nature Affinity Points came from cause I had the same revelation just today. Top notch quality advice, I have missed this out with 250 hours in. Cheers mate, thanks for sharing! =)
So I was playing around with High, and while it does hurt to use units that don't benefit from a dormant trait, awaken still gives +4 spirit damage, and that can stack up pretty quickly. It's free damage that you always get when you awaken any type of unit, and you should never say no to free damage.
Thank you for making this one! I was surprised as well by the power of zeal. Your version is definitely more effective. My version used zeal, pyromancy and both the t2 tomes that involved moral with a focus on beefed up tier 1 units. My defenders would tank targets while debuffing them with low morale and condemn while my pyromancers hit them from behind. Great in the beginning but ran out of steam later on.
@@Ic0nGaming glad your still making videos on this game. It's hard to find anyone doing any even with 2 more announced dlcs incoming. Btw are you gonna be making any builds for necromancy?
You know what‘s fun in case you haven‘t tried this already? Maximize science as quickly as possible, rush to the tier 3 tome of dragons and then to the tier 4 order tome that gives you the level up spell for armies, cast it on an army of young dragons and turn them into Tier 5 mythic dragons immediately. A Feudal/Alchemy/Great Builders start works pretty well for this. Roleplay wise, the leader can be an elvish nymphe who turns a tribe of lizard people into religious zealots to do her bidding and wake up the ancient dragons. A sort of evil act but she‘s just doing it to protect her realm against the undead. Or just be a crazy alchemist who does experiments on lizards in the swamps and stumbles upon a mutation that hatches dragons by accident … worshipped by religious turtles obviously xD
I like to play default factions as they are not as min max and have some roleplay I like to do. This build actually really fits Nykareth one of the new Eldritch factions. They are High, Imperial, Scions of Evil and start with Zeal Tome. Their lore is Nykareth was once one of the most zealous fighters against Umbral corruption but eventually went a little paranoid and crazy and saw corruption even in the light of creation itself. "The Veilstriders are Nykareth's most loyal soldiers, priding themselves on being the last bastion of true faith that stands again the torrent of the Umbral Abyss. They see their ruler's physical transformation as a blessing of the Archons and as proof that their path is the truly righteous one." Going to try it out.
I would love to see a Dark culture + hideous stench specialising in negative status effects. I have tried starting with tome of alchemy but I struggle a lot in the first 15 turns due to a lack of sustain. Even with ruthless cannibals it's hard to not have some units die each combat when you start clearing out nodes. On paper it sounds very good but I can't seem to make it work.
Heyo, was curious if you'd be interested in trying out a "Hive Mind Order Industrious" build I cooked up after the newest DLC dropped. I used a Wizard King hero but any Ruler can work. Racial Traits: Nightmare Mount but any could work plus any damage increasing trait of your choice, I prefer Strong. This is because Bastions will form the corner stone of your mid-late game. Society Traits: Runesmiths and Scions of Evil - Both are optional but I like cheaper enchantments and Scions of Evil gives Shadow Affinity to get that very useful 150 knowledge for every hero killed online quicker. Tomes: T1 Enchantment + Zeal T2 Glades + Construct T3 Sanctuary + Dragons/Dreadnought T4 Exaltation General Concept of the build is uber buffed Bastions being an unbreakable wall while Shrines of Smiting Smite from the backline Early game is covered by powerful ranged heroes providing killing power for tanky industrious culture units plus copper golems which is later supplemented by Glades providing Gladerunners and Protectors though they are not the end game. That comes with the Construct Tome with mind link and the cascading spells. When combined with the materium matrix, that a single cascading spell can very easily give your entire army +3 bolstered defence with a single cast. Tome of the Sanctuary provides Keeper's Mark which gives your melee units, particularly your Bastions faithful and a one time avoid death proc but the other Tome depends on what major transformation you prefer. I like Draconians because of the regen and rage but this will need you to get one life signature skill on your ruler to get the third affinity point. Also, Purifying Fire is nice. Otherwise, go Dreadnought for Warded and Tuning Kits. At this point, it would not be unusual to be fighting battles with Bastions that have 11-14 physical defence and are practically untouchable by physical attacks. For the late-late game, Exaltation will provide Shrines of Smiting and the Angel transformation if you still don't have one. Your offensive capabilities will sky-rocket once you start fielding stacks of 4-5 bastions and 1 shrine. If you are feeling spicey, throw in a Steel Shaper that can both overtune and strength from steel your shrines I find that unnecessary overkill. On that note, remember that Shrines are also counted as constructs and thus they benefit from Warded and more importantly, the cascading spells.
if u are still into the AOW4 please do make a video on how to combine barbarian and nature/ with animal kinship and animals and how should a good balanced 3x 6 army look like ? thanks you for all your videos they are simple and very effective !!!
I tried out your reavers golem build and loved it. Based on that build I have been trying to make an elementals focused build, I just can't get it to work though. Any ideas?
