I did 200 cals for 14:40 today, was dripping. Really been enjoying my time on the assault bike.

@Untapped Strength, Totally awesome video and time! I recently purchased the Rogue Echo Bike V3 and have been trying a range of workouts (intervals, endurance/conditioning). I've been giving different fun challenges a try too such as 50, 100 and 200 cals for time and some longer rides like 30-35 min for distance. My longest ride so far was 65 minutes at a fairly high pace, which was great endurance. But the 200-Cal challenge is currently my favourite. I've been doing it for a bit now and I initially got 16:30 min, then 15:34, 15:24, and finally my 14:58 min current personal best. That was super challenging and pushing those physical/mental limits the whole way through. Definitely some Ultra Instinct vibes throughout, haha! 💥 I'm going to give the 200-cals another try soon and see if I can top my personal best. Great challenge and I hear the Rogue Echo Bike is significantly more difficult than perhaps other air bike varieties like Assault (due to the width of the blades and greater air resistance). Definitely feels like it during these type of rides. Love your channel, bud, and the variety of Air Bike posts/challenges. It's an awesome community of people having a blast and bonding over epic Air Biking and fitness. I'm looking forward to more fun challenge videos and just rocking the bike. 🤘🚲 And it would be super sweet to not have those people posting how easy 200 or 300 cals for time was for them. If anyone's tried Air Bikes, they'd be well-aware of the crazy difficulty and conditioning required to pump out one of these rides. Let's not downplay 200 cals. Anything under 17 minutes is already stellar! And we have these peeps posting how easy it is to hit 200 or even 300 cals in 14 minutes. Yeah okay! It's just as easy to say I got 200-cals in 7 minutes without any back-up, which is absurd. When we workout and say random BS about achievements, it's just self-defeating and doesn't do much. If you hit let's say 300-cals in 14 min or even 200-cals in 14 min or less, post up a pic of your monitor or record a video to inspire others because that's some next-level fitness. 👌 I was cranking out in the mid/high-30s to low 40 km/h the entire time to hit 14:58 minutes, which is a very fast pace to maintain for nearly 15 minutes straight with no breaks, so I was stoked to reach that. Lets be real about the difficulty of air biking, the various challenges, and not downplay the effort required (both physically and probably even moreso mentally) to get this done. And I appreciate that Untapped Strength is posting up clear and engaging videos showing the major work involved in completing the exercises. Thanks and keep inspiring!

Pretty impressive. I have along way to go before my quads can handle that long of a ride🙂 When I first got the Echo a couple months ago I couldn't even get thru a 4 min 20/10 Tabata before my lower quads gave out. I'm able to get a good heart workout now (up to 170 bpm) which is comparable to what I reached when I used to do Tabata on a treadmill. I think the longer rides may be just the ticket for me to increase the strength amd endurance of my quads.

That's pretty good man. And you also got it on video. Not like some people who say they're breaking 300 calories in 16 minutes in some forums, but don't have the receipts for it. 💪

I did 300 kcal for 14.32 min, its not hard
@SergeLokshin
@SergeLokshin Год назад
@@kushtrimshatri9697 Is that so? Completing 200 cals on an Air Bike for that time (14:32 min) would be very difficult and super impressive, and you're saying 300 cals in under 15 minutes isn't hard. Come on now! You must be a true Air-Biking deity to hit those numbers. This is on the Rogue Echo Bike that you achieved this "easy" time? In this case, 200 cals in sub-15 minutes would be a breeze for you on the Echo Bike. Let's see some substance there rather than just blah, blah! ✌️

@@SergeLokshin hitting 300cal in 16 min or less is a solid feat, but not impossible by any stretch. One guy I follow just hit 306 cal in 14 mins (using a windguard though). I've only been training on the bike for a little over a year and I can hit 200 calories pretty easily now in 15 mins (it's still a good workout, but nowhere near max effort). My PR is 464 calories in 30 mins to give you an idea. (I also don't use the windguard--which makes it easier). Don't discredit someone because you can't do something. Stay humble, work hard, and try to improve each month!

@@laplant31 i never said hitting 300 cals on the Air Bike is impossible but I totally agree, that is a very, very solid effort. I’m sure some people with elite conditioning and experience with Air Bikes can achieve sub-15 min for 300 cals. To me, that’s very impressive and if that guy you follow did 306 cals in 14 minutes while using a wind guard (which ups the difficulty), that’s even more impressive and props to him for a very solid time. My issue is not with people achieving amazing times and calories on the Air Bike. Those posts/stats motivate and inspire my sessions, which is why I follow individuals like Untapped Strength and Ethan Fleming, among others. But when someone (like the guy I responded to earlier) says that he did 300 cals in 14:32 min and that it’s not hard, that’s pure nonsense. I’ve also been training with my Rogue Echo Bike for about a year and I know exactly how difficult the sessions are. And I’ve got very solid cardio (always improving). I have the windguard hooked up to the bike and have done longer rides of 30 min, 45 min up to 65 min straight for endurance. And shorter rides with more intensity are always fun like the 100, 200 and 300 cal challenges. I like to mix it up and my point is that I’m fully aware how tough and good of a workout those shorter high-intensity bursts can be. You said you can do 200-cals pretty easily in 15 minutes and your PR of 464 cals in 30 min. If that’s the case, that’s amazing and great work. My best time as of a few months ago on the Rogue Echo Bike with a windguard for 200-cals was: 14:58 min and 100-cals in 6:21 min But I also know it depends quite a bit on the type of Air Bike being used too. From what I know, the Rogue Echo Bike has thicker blades for pushing around airflow and therefore increases the resistance and difficulty for the session. I’m not saying other bikes like the Assault bike are easy but there are factors to consider as not all air bikes will be the same in terms of calories for time. It also depends on whether there’s a windguard, etc. I initially started tracking calories/stats through the Rogue Echo Bike display but they didn’t seem entirely accurate at certain points and from friends that did other physical activities and mentioned the calories don’t seem to be accumulating totally accurately. So I got a Polar H10 chest strap heart monitor which I hear is very accurate in terms of tracking calories and heart rate during exercise sessions. I’ve been using that while riding the Air Bike in addition to checking the bike display and there’s a significant discrepancy (i.e., the total calories are quite a bit higher using the heart sensor). I’m inclined to trust the Polar sensor a bit more as it’s specialized for activity tracking so I’ll see how that computes for things like 200 and 300-cals on the Air Bike. It’s a great workout but to say it’s pretty easy for 200-cals I definitely don’t agree with. Perhaps your cardio is that high that it’s easy for you but I assure you my cardio is pretty solid and I can acknowledge the difficulty in achieving 200 cals in sub-15 min. I’m not saying it’s total max effort and I’m sure we can continue to improve the numbers with further conditioning/training. But those individuals (unlike the ones really hitting 300-cals in sub-15 min which I’m sure are a select few) that are claiming how easy 200 or 300 cals are in sub-15 min are clearly not really achieving those stats or doing so on other bikes, without windguard, etc. I’m not discrediting anyone for anything, except calling bullshit on people saying 300-cals in 14:32 isn’t difficult. There’s a big difference between someone putting in hard work, working towards big goals and inspiring others with their stats, versus someone that just posts how easily they achieved their stats (whether it’s 100, 200, 300-cals or anything else on the Air Bike). I don’t care how conditioned someone is, achieving 300-cals in sub-15 min, as an example, or even 200-cals in sub-14 min is not something done easily. I’m sure the 300-cals is achievable and to that I give major credit. I never claimed I could do (yet) 300-calories in sub-15 min. I’m all about being humble, improving each day, having fun and motivating each other. But let’s be real and not throw around how easy certain Air Bike times/calories are. And that guy you follow that did 300 cals on the Air Bike in 14 min; I’d genuinely love to see that. Is there a video or something where that can be viewed because to me that’s truly impressive. Searching on a RU-vid doesn’t show anyone doing that from what I can see. It would be motivating stuff. I can say i did 300-cals on the Echo Bike in 12 min if I wanted to but that’s not legit. Anyone can say anything like the guy saying 300-cals in 14:32 isn’t hard. Unless you’re a machine, that will be incredibly tough, haha, and they’re just trying to show how much better they are than someone who posts a legit time they’ve earned and are proud of (as they should be). Let’s inspire each other and give proper credit to Air Bike workouts. If you’re getting an amazing workout, i truly don’t care what your time and calories are; I just track mine for fun and to keep pushing my limits!
