I love how you show how hard the session really is. So many pros are like "yeah, just like, getting the legs moving..." Good luck in Flag Jake.

"Boring"? Not in a milllion years! Loved the video, could almost feel the pain of those last few hills. Glad to hear that winter has gone so well. To me the Olympics are athletics - in particular events from 800 up. I can't wait for the 1500. If all of the main protagonists are fit and firing it should be a race to remember. My money is on a Brit 1,2. (Sneeking feeling that Jacob might skip the 1500 citing i njury issues and focus on the 5000 where surely his chances of gold are much better?)

Jake sir when i do long reps like 10x1k in about 3:35-3:40 pace my legs and arms feel tightness sir it's my lactate threshold pace or something else, but sir when i do only one reps of 1k in 2:30-2:35 my legs and arms not feel tightness so sir plz reply me what's the reason it's is my lactate threshold or something else. @sstevogb 5 месяцев назад
@@timsimon8995 yeah valid point for sure, I just wondered if he did anything that was specifically just targeting the core if you get me ? Agree though
@timsimon8995

@@sstevogb the big misconception is thst core means abs. It really involves thr connection from thr pelvis to the upper torso. Any movements you do that utilise and connect those areas is core training, but done in a more specific way.

No offence to the strength coach, but as one myself of 20 years working with runners, that is far too much work for one session. Too many different exercises that should be split over 2 or even 3 sessions. Great exercises, just too much for one session. The workout achieved its purpose 4 exercises in. Anything more was just far too much load and hindering recovery.

How many world titles and Olympians do you have
@timsimon8995
@timsimon8995 5 месяцев назад
@@bobdown5520 sorry your feelings got hurt Bob, but what I wrote was obvious. Once you do enough work to trigger the growth response any more work will just risk injury and inhibit recover. Save it for the next session once super compensation has occurred.
@shravanpradeep8434
@shravanpradeep8434 5 месяцев назад
I think the high intensity lifts are what give him an edge. Comparing him and his competitors, he just isn't as fit as most of the other guys. I think being insanely strong (compared to most distance runners) and his high plyometric work are what compensate for the fitness.
@asmundsundefrde6412
@asmundsundefrde6412 5 месяцев назад
You have to rember that jake isnt an ordinary runner, hes one of the best in the world. And to be the best you have to train the best, ordinary training gives ordinary results
@timsimon8995
@timsimon8995 5 месяцев назад
@@asmundsundefrde6412 nope not true. Anyone can overtrain. The best do it all the time and get injured. You only need to do so much to trigger that growth response, any more is unnecessary and counter productive.
