Yeah, Jamal Bryan Adam's opened for Tina Turner on tour, it a live version. He also did the Canadian song like we are the world and he was a big part of it. He did a song for Robin Hood with Kevin Cosner and the Three Musketeers. I saw him like with Journey.
@@shelliheckethorn7234 That Canadian song is "Tears are not enough", which is also on We are the world album. Personally, I prefer that song to We are the world.
I am so glad your doing this it reminds me of the best days of my life prom song was Heaven. thanks Jamel. not sure on the order tried to look it up but maybe if you look at the album they may be in order on there however they are videos but all Kimberlini said are great... might even be in order. keep on keeping on. Your a wonderful Human.
He actually released 2 different videos for this song , both filmed at the Orpheum in Vancouver . The Stanley was actually an old movie theatre . The girl in these videos is Lysette Anthony one of the first women to call out and testify against Harvey Weinstein ...
I was in 4th grade and I danced with the prettiest girl in my class to this song back in 1984. Our arms were stretched out as far as possible, as we danced like malfunctioning robots. Such innocent times.
If you were in high school in the late 80s or early 90s, this song is almost a time machine. We can’t relive it, but this song sure brings the memories and feelings.
OMG that girl's lipstick color was absolutely THE 1980's color. I wore a lipstick just like that in the 80s, LOL. There's an online playlist that has the order like this. I watched it and it looks right, one leads right into the other. 1: This Time 2: Summer of 69 3: Somebody 4: Kids Wanna Rock 5: Heaven 6: Run To You
Oh, Bryan Adams. Many years was his fan. Was collected many his albums. Been on his concert in Moscow, Russia in 1998. Acually his songs is something special, for soul. First song which start my love to him is "Thought i'd died and gone to heaven". Another of my favorite song is "Please forgive me" and "Do I have to say the words"
Bryan Adams. One of the best. My goodness he’s put out some awesome music. A voice coach reacted to Bryan Adams live and said he was one of the few that had perfect pitch and tone during live performances, that his singing was so natural to him. Here’s some of my favorites, too many to name just one; Cuts Like a Knife, Straight From the Heart, Everything I do I Do It For You, Please Forgive Me, All For Love, Thought I’d Died and Gone to Heaven, This Time , Can’t Stop This Thing We Started, House Arrest, Do I Have to Say the Words, All I Want is You, The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me is You, 18 ‘till I Die, Let’s Make a Night to Remember, I Wanna be Your Underwear, I Think About You, You’re Still Beautiful to Me, I’ll Always Be Right There, It Ain’t a Party if You Can’t Come ‘Round, Do To You, Star, We’re Gonna Win, Black Pearl, and Never Let Go!
Love Bryan Adams. Duet with Barbra Streisand “I Finally Found Someone” (just wow... two voices you wouldn’t expect as a duet). And, of course “I Do It For You” (from Robin Hood).
80s kid here - I was 16 when this album came out. I can still remember going to what was then Tower Records and buying the cassette. And I used to sit by the TV, watching MTV (when it was just music videos), waiting for a song I liked, and hitting record on the VCR. This video was one of 'em. Those were better times compared to today. This brings it all back! Thank you so much for what you do J!!
im wishing more and more everyday that i was born in the 70's the older i get. The more insight i gain to the 80's the more i wish i was alive during that time. Still like the timeline i live in but 80's seem like paradise
My friend jumped over the hood of his car as he came out from a concert in the early 90s. He actually signed the autograph. I still have it :) I think I have every song memorized :)
Bryan Adams, more than any guy I can think of, pioneered the invasion of power ballads in the 1980s. There was no question they were ballads, but Adams' voice and production clearly rocked, too.
Went and saw Bryan Adams back in`83 when he first started out,I had just bought his album right before we saw him..he opened up for Journey(my group)! Fantastic show! Funny thing that happened though while Bryan was performing he stuck the microphone down his pants(still don`t know why, lol, we were all crazy back then) and couldn`t get it out, lol, he had to go off stage, fun times!
Brain Adams suffered from just making it look so easy. The songs were so hummable, his singing effortless, the lyrics just so obvious but still not contrived.
Saw Bryan Adams live about 2 years ago, a fantastic song from a great singer. The most amazing thing is how he manages to sound exactly like in his studio recordings whilst singing for two hours straight.
I love Bryan Adams songs. I don't know anything about any certain order. But I love "Everything I do, I do it for You", "Cuts Like a Knife", "There Will Never Be Another Tonight", "Run to You"
Back in the 80s i wasnt really too into the rock ballads. But Bryan Adams rock ballads i LOVED. esp Everything I do ( I do it for You). It was no 1 for like 10 weeks or something, and i NEVER got tired of hearing it. Oh yes, and you MUST do his duet with Tina Turner "its Only Love"
My FAVORITE Bryan Adams song is Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman. The lyrics are amazing. He sang it in the movie Fandango which is a fabulous movie.
Jamel, you HAVE to check more Bryan Adams - you could honestly do an entire week with him, and so many of us would be right here with you!! This guy RULED the 80's - especially here in Canada! He's a national treasure. Where to go next: Cuts Like A Knife, Straight From The Heart, Run To You, It's Only Love (with Tina Turner - BANGER!!), Somebody, Thought I'd Died and Gone To Heaven, Do I Have To Say The Words?, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, Please Forgive Me, Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?....and that's just for starters! Cheers!!
Bryan Adams is another one of our Canadian Boys. Vancouver. This one a real popular 80's slow dance song in clubs here. Try Summer of 69, and Run to you. Do them from the oldest songs to the newest, as time matters in copyright.it is Bryan Adams original. He is a big songwriter for others, too.
Love that song, it's my favorite of his. went to a chip and dale show one time and got a lap dance from a sexy cowboy to this song, wow what a night that was lol. perfect song for it too.
A friend and I went and saw Bryan Adams in 1987 I think? We loved his music, but the primary purpose of going was because we knew it would be packed with girls. What can I say? We were teenage boys. LOL. We even got to the front and Bryan Adams high fived me during the show. Plus, the Hooters opened, so that was cool.
You might also like these two ballads by Bryan Adams, both of which were nominated for Oscars for best song: "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" from "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" (1991), starring Kevin Costner, and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" from "Don Juan DeMarco" (1994), starring Johnny Depp.
Hey Jamel this is what I found online about the proper order to play the video in and it is a story telling movie presented in music videos. This is what it says: The album Reckless was released on November 5, 1984. This was the first time that a video album was released the same day that the LP album was released. Reckless was available on Betamax, VHS and Video8 and later also on DVD. The tracks or videos are to be played in this order and you will see the story/movie: 1. Run to You 2. Summer of '69 3. Somebody 4. Heaven 5. Kids Wanna Rock 6. This Time And there was casting that is why you see the same people over and over in different storylines and they are: - Bruce Allen as Manager - Lysette Anthony as Natalie - Adrian Formosa as Warehouse Cop I - Anthony Harrison as Motorcycle Cop - Garwin Sanford as Boyfriend - Marty Waldman as Reporter - Glenn Williams as Warehouse Cop II
The Girl featured, Lysette Anthony, during the 80s, appeared in numerous music videos for artists such as Bryan Adams ("Summer of '69", "Somebody", "Heaven", and "Run to You"), Depeche Mode ("I Feel You"), and Simian Mobile Disco ("Cruel Intentions").
"RUN TO YOU" please, Jamel. Mr Bryan Adams is also a fantastic photographer. Multi-talented. Oh, and before I forget , "it's only love " with Tina Turner is great, too!
I’ll never forget the day when I realized the chorus of Tiffany’s “Feelings of Forever” is almost identical - musically, structurally - to this song’s chorus.
In 1979, Bryan Adams got Bruce Allen, manager of Prism, Loverboy and Bachman Turner Overdrive, to manage him. BA wrote Wastin' Time. Bachman Turner Overdrive recorded it. The next year, 1980, BA released his version. It is available in his eponymous album, Bryan Adams. BA released his 2nd album in 1981. He also co-wrote songs with Lisa Dal Bello and Lyndsay Mitchell of Prism for their albums. In 1982, BA and Jim Vallance wrote songs with Gene Simmons 2 songs for the Kiss album Creatures of the Night. In 1983, BA released Cuts like a Knife. Unfortunately, BA signed a bad contract and thereby got little from royalties. Later that year, Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance wrote Heaven. At the time of recording, Mickey Curry was unavailable to play drums for the song due to a prior contract stating that he plays with another musician. By fortune, Steve Smith of Journey was available. BA used to open for Journey. This song sounds similar to Faithfully. SS ended up playing drums in both songs! 😎 The song was originally released in the soundtrack to the movie A Night in Heaven. The movie, a Night in Heaven, was a flop, rendered to B-movie status. Heaven and the Holly Knight + Michael des Barres' song Obsession were the highlights of the B movie. One year later, Heaven was featured 1984 album was released in the Bryan Adams album Reckless. Fortunately, Reckless became the bestselling Billboard Album of 1985. The royalties from this album recouped the losses BA had from the previous 3 albums. 😎 First Number 1 song for Bryan Adams. Counting his debut album up to and including Reckless, Bryan Adams is the first native Canadian to sell 1 million records. This album made him a 1980s legend in Canada. The woman in this video appears in 4 other Bryan Adams videos from the same album, Reckless. The next year, 1985. At the urging of Seattle native Quincy Jones, Victoria -BC native David Foster formed Northern Lights in order to contribute to Africa relief. He wrote and produced the music to Tears Are Not Enough. BA, Jim Vallance, Bob Rock, Paul Hyde and Rachel Paiemont wrote the lyrics. BA and Paul Hyde joined the supergroup Northern Lights in order to sing their measures of the song. Other songs. This Time, Straight from the Heart, Run to You, Summer of 69, Somebody, It's Only Love, One Night Love Affair, Can't Stop This Thing We Started, All for Love, Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman. Must review: Everything I Do I Do It for You. Released in 1991.First Number 1 song for Bryan Adams.
Bryan Adams and his songwriting partner Jim Vallance were/are a potent partnership that crafted hits for Bryan and others. Valence was also a noted song doctor who was often called upon to help other artists....get that hit.
Brian Adams was true to the soul of rock. He was often made fun of and denigrated (Beavis and Butthead), but his rock was solid soul and ballad rock. Love it to my dying days, and I'm 65.
I think half of Bryan Adams work I really like, and there are few artists who get close to that. And within what he does, his quality of work is outstanding. The duet with Tina Turner 'Its only love' is one for all the ages.
Ahhh!! @3:38 It's the iconic Stanley Theater in Vancouver! And @4:07 is the beautiful Orpheum Theater where he's on stage! Bryan Adams is from Vancouver, and he wrote a lot of his songs there. His lead guitarist is from East Van. A little history: Bryan's mother still lives in North Vancouver, and fun fact, he even brought her out to his Vancouver concert a couple of years ago, she was backstage the whole time in her wheelchair. He still is really close and cares a lot for her.
One of my favorite singers/songwriters. I love every song he has ever released. I remember another very famous singer dissing him for wearing t-shirts and jeans at concerts. I remember thinking at the time that he didn't need to use any props such as special costumes or a wild background. He was amazing just as he was.
Brian babysat me a few times when I lived in Lynn valley his mom and my mom were friends we used to visit his home all the time in west Vancouver, yes he brought his guitar every time while doing homework
