As a tribute to Maestro Pavarotti on his 59th birthday on 12th October, Adams shares with you their performance of 'O Sole Mio filmed in Modena, Italy on 13th September 1994. FOLLOW: / bryanadams
I m pretty sure Is for the fact he Is singing in italian. As any italian, we are Happy to hear foreigners speaking/singing our language, especially a famous Person, such as Bryan Adams.
whats gets me the most is the pure joy on Pavarotti's face when Bryan is singing. He was clearly one of the best tenors of all time and yet still takes pleasure in Bryans performance. And what a performance it was!
i love pavorotti’s expression and the fact he has no issues showing how much he’s enjoying Bryan’s performance. No stuck up narcissism despite being one of the best tenors of all time, he’s happy to be completely himself up there and enjoy himself humbly.
Pavarotti's real greatness was, in my opinion, his clear and unaltered love for music. Obviously he was one of, if not the greatest, at what he did, but to me what really stood out to me was how he loved performing with others and sharing music because it is a wonderful thing. Another clip similar to this one he features Sting, Elton John and Whitnery Huston and he looks just as estatic there for sharing a love of music with like-minded people. Music is an international language.
Singing in front of thousands is a joke compared to singing in front of thousands next to Pavarotti, going first, foreign language and a difficult piece; well, compared to non-classical at least. would have shat my pants. Came out rather intriguing in the end, I must say.
I read that Mr Pavarotti had called Bryan to perform with him and Bryan thought it was joke. Then he realized it was actually Mr Pavarotti. The reason Mr Pavarotti is laughing so heartily Is he didn’t know Bryan was going to sing it in that language. He did a wonderful job. They became very good friends after this performance. I love this.
@@STodd-ms9jq Bryan was big hit those days I guess Pavarotti wanted a well known duet. His humbleness on stage always fascinated me and clearly showing off his voice next to Bryan. 😆 his voice was very powerful and one of a kind. I hope he rests in peace.
I have always loved Bryan Adams raspy voice. But Pavarotti is from a different dimension. Thank you Italia for gifting the world with this human treasure.
When singers were artists not just performers...Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea bocceli,Andrea rieu , Bryan Adams ... Charisma, voice, respect and humble, true artists Si sad for us(millennials) to be born in such a time, just performers... No art at all.
I can’t help smiling watching these two great artists enjoying their completely opposite styles so much. It seems to me that this is one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen 🥲
@@sakemichi1079 I’m 16 and i agree with you guys, there’s a lack of respect for real hard work and talent these days, instead, music became something that is manufactured in large amounts like a factory and shipped out to the net without any care or soul, but luckily, we can still enjoy opera voices like Bocelli and Pavarotti and rock ballads that I prefer
Pavarotti holding back, my God, supreme, simply supreme, Bryan trying His best, not to let Pavarotti down, And Pavarotti smiles at Bryant saying you are doing great.
@@blakebramfield8220 You mean that he wasn’t holding back with Dion? Well there is a couple of reasons for that. His age mostly. He was older when they made the duet with Dion, and he had to push more to achieve the same power he did with ease earlier. And Celine and Bryan are also on a different level technically. With Celine Pav didn’t have to hold back. She was shining anyway with her skills. If he had hold back, it wouldn’t have been ”equal”.
Luciano Pavarotti’s passion for music is incredible to see. And look how much Bryan Adams is feeding off it! If everyone was like Luciano Pavarotti, the world would be a better place
Pavarotti is so precious. So precious. Goose bumps everywhere. He really went max half his power, but still so truly admired Adams for his all-out expression. Only true genious is able to be so amazing. Beautiful soul.
Luciano is a tenor...bryan is singer ... they are both masters at what they do. And you can feel the respect these 2 men show each other. Amazing video.
@@ricomajestic Bryan’s voice has been destroyed by years of abusing it in live performances. But he made a lot of money with that terrible voice. It shows most of the public have no taste to applaud it.
This is May 2024 & "O sole mio..." by legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti & Bryan Adams continues to be exceedingly electrifying, enormously exciting, exceptionally enthralling, excellently entertaining, exclusively elating and exquisitely engaging. Their rendition is singularly soulful, spellbinding, superb, sincere, sweet and simply spectacular. ❤❤❤❤
A greatly talented singer would sing his song, and have his lyrics flow together with the melody in a pleasing combination for our ears. And then there's Pavarotti, whose lyrics don't just flow with the melody, they become the melody. That is why opera singers are a step beyond regular singers. Their words and their voices melt into the music and reach a point where you can no longer discern whether you actually listen to a piece with lyrics. Not to mention it just becomes raw emotion. It's beautiful.
@@lovemypiano111 Ten żart o śpiewaniu to inny gatunek muzyki. Tak jak mistrz Pavarotti czuje się świetnie w klasyce, tak Bryan czuje się w swoim gatunku. Zderzenie dwóch światów. Nie dyskutuje się o gustach ❤❤❤
Bryan Adam's casual and around street corner singing contrasting so much with Parvarotti serious and professional operatic style makes this such an appealing and endearing performance.
My God!😱😱😭😭, sometimes i can't help but ask why Luciano Pavarotti was not born in time..I would pay and sacrifice anything just to see him perform live...I love him to bits.
This gave me even more reason to respect Bryan's talent. It's so refreshing to listen to someone singing live who sounds just as good as they do in a studio mixed recording. Bravo, sir, beautifully done.
It took a lot of guts for Bryan Adams to get up on that stage and accompany one of the greatest tenors of all time. I thought he held his own pretty well.
@@viwanton Of course, he didn’t have anything to fear from Pavarotti himself. In fact, Pavarotti himself is the one who reached out to Bryan Adams to invite him to perform with him. You’re quite right Pavarotti loved to sing with other artists, and he had great respect and admiration for them. I simply meant to perform side-by-side with somebody of such extraordinary talent would’ve been intimidating, I would think, because that situation would naturally invite comparisons between yourself and the master.
Bryan Adsams pulls all his body in the first par and then Pavarotti goes all quiet but you can still hear the power! What a difference and a great collab.
You can tell Pavarotti really enjoys Bryan's voice and really respects and appreciates him for crossing over into his domain and absolutely crushing the lyrics! What a thrill this must have been for the both of them. Glad this lives on the internet for all of us mere mortals to enjoy.
@@radicalreactions1633 That's not the point. Pavarotti requested that Adams sing for him. I'm not going to compare this to a trained operettic voice, much less one of the greatest tenors of all time, but really, it was not bad!
I think deep down Pavarotti enjoyed making BA know his singing ability is not even close to Pavarotti. Side by side BA was just no match for the master,’so much so it was embarrassing. BA’s look of uneasiness tells you he knew it too.
@@jet1748 I don't think so. By the look on Pavarotti's face, he truly respected Bryan's performance. It took a lot of courage for Bryan to even attempt a song like this beside the master Luciano is. Both men had a look of true, unabashed respect for each other. And in my opinion, Bryan NAILED it!!
I never knew this existed before today. My father requested that the pianist at my wedding play this song. When it began he took me by the hand, out onto the dance floor in a dramatic sweep, and SANG this to me while dancing me around. It is one of my favorite moments of life with my Dad.
Bess your dad it must have been his fondness moment to share such love and joy with you and your guests ! Bravo, im listening today. The last time was in 2020 w/ i first discovered this and shared it w/ my prior boss, who first introduced me to opera.. Gosh how has our world changed since then...
Even at 25% Pavarotti's power is blatant when compared to pretty much anyone else. No disrespect to Bryan of course, that effortless power and control is phenomenal
That's because he is a professional who knows to find symmetry with the person he is singing with. Anyone can blast a loud voice but he is an ARTIST who can dance with his partner =)

Quién está hoy 9 de Abril del 2023 disfrutando de la hermosa voz del mejor de los tenores de nuestro siglo y más aun junto a Brian Adams ... Un gran abrazo desde Chile 🇨🇱 para quienes lo compartan ...
Hats off to Brian, but i did notice that the one and only yours truly wasnt even trying, probably around 40% of his full potential to so he wouldnt overpower Mr Adams, thats the respect you get from the big man. Damm i miss Pavarotti and he will never be replaced.

Their voices really complimented one another. Pretty impressive delivery considering Adams had to refer to the lyrics. Clearly not much rehearsal time. Well done.
Brilliant performance, by a singer and an Opera Legend. I have so much respect for Bryan Adam’s for making the attempt and providing us with a good showing that he can be proud of.
