While i feel bad for the families i totally think the judge made the right call because this takes away a BIG gripe from the defense and now because the judge is moving them where THEY want if they cry unfair it is like this is what you asked for. I think the judge was thinking ahead. I have a feeling it will be a conviction and he would rather move it and make it stick.

Darrell Brooks trial able to seat a Jury in Waukesha where he ran through the Xmas parade.Not everyone saturates themselves with crime news. And even if they’ve heard about it, doesn’t mean they can’t be impartial. Probably best to move trial since they can schedule it sooner. Remember it was scheduled for summer due to college being out of session.

The jurors likely know the law enforcement and prosecutor involved in this case very well. There has been a lot of odd moves in this case by law enforcement. Some jurors surveyed CALLED Bill Thompson Prosecutor to tell him they got surveyed for goodness sake. The case needed to be heard by a distant community with less of that interconnectedness

I am sure the public defender Ann Taylor loves this. Outside of being paid 2X her normal salery for this case thus the financial incentive for the delays, she now gets to bill the state for the out of area expenses. I imagine they will be extreme.

This Judge is horrible, he has been favoring the defense from the very beginning. First, he approves the trial to be delayed until 2025, then letting the stupid survey to continue and now granting them the request of change of venue, no respect for him, he needs to grow a pair. Even if this case moves to NORTH KOREA, nothing will change since the case has been in media and social media from the very beginning. The only positive in moving the case is that this horrible judge JUDGE is not going to be presiding the case, resign and go home Judge. Justice delayed is justice denied.

i agree that allowing the change of venue was a good decision by the judge. This gives one less thing the defense can complain about if/when they appeal if he's convicted. There can still be an appeal, but this is one very big complaint the defense no longer can use. So yes, that is very good; very insightful of the judge.

Good to remove possible appeal grounds where you can. Yes, significant distance between Moscow and Boise, unlike Daybell trials where it was just a few hours on the interstate. But Boise has room for folks, and it's very short distance out to death row.
