In my opinion, John vs Denis was the peak of KOTT 6. I know most people just want to see the meanest guys out there (I.e. Levan vs Ermes), but this match has two legends colliding while being very humble and sportsmanlike at the same time. Amazing match! Massive respect to John and Denis.
not one excuse of age, drugs or anything else. Just a truly positive attitude, in victory and defeat. Brzenk is not just the GOAT of arm wrestling but also in character.
I suppose that's the reason that today, he never mentions that Denis already beat him in a re-match in 2010, and has been obviously stronger than him since then. Oh yeah, and jfyi, John is self-admittedly on TRT, which is usually not a replacement dose, but a light cycle - so yeah, he better not use PEDs as an excuse.

Lol ... he's said so several times .. check the podcasts/interviews he's done ..and Denis was likely stronger than John even when he lost...arm wrestling isn't all about strength ... John has always been respectful and that's a part of the reason Denis holds him in high regard..je doesn't give lame excuses As for PEDs, ask professional armnwrestlers and they'll tell you that John was the reason a lot of them did PEDs in the first place..

As a person who is interested in cycling and strength training (but I am not strong in armwrestling at all) I like to follow these amazing armwrestlers. I really like the sportsmanship and genuine friendship between the competitors, regardless of nationalities or cultures.
im a absolute twig and a former boxer. armwrestling is currently at the top of my interest. its such a great sport. and the athletes are so humble and admirable
Everytime I see either John or Denis talking to each other, I get smile on my face. John talks and Denis laughs back at him. I don't remember any sport that opponents have such a beautiful relationship and sportsmanship to one another like that. I love armwrestling community.
Finding out about Denis made me get into the sport, and he still personifies armwrestling the most for me. Because armwrestling, yes, is also about technique, but mostly STRENGTH, and that's what he is the definition of.
I’m almost crying here hahaha. Wanted both of them to win and I think John is already a winner in any ways his character charisma his legacy and everything. But especially about Denis I’m so so so happy for his comeback and can’t wait to see him getting better than ever. Yess amin

Devon fanboys vs. Denis fanboys - dis gon be gud! 🤣 Realistically though, John is spot on here - Devon has leveled up over the last couple of years, and Denis is obviously not even at his previous peak yet. I think Denis has a chance right now, but not a good one - best he gets significantly stronger again for this match.
I hope John takes as much time as he needs and does all he can to be healthy and in shape. Even if he competes only a couple times each year, that is still more than enough. But for him to keep doing that well into his sixties, he needs to be healthy.
All of the arm wrestlers have limited arm stretch they can't fully open their arms but damn John after all those years of arm wrestling amazes me with his arms . Damn he's done it without harming himself 🎯

Never seen such containment before in a long time since Denis what he did that night, I never expected him to do contain John like that especially coming after a 4 year layoff and after serious health problems, I thought John would at least take his hand even for 4 seconds and take it to his side like he used to before getting pulled back by Denis. But this new Denis is a new puller, he's got that crazy power in the center now with that absurd hand strength/pronation. Glad John it sportingly, since there was nothing he could do he at least is upbeat about it and is happy regardless, hope he does take loads of rest
As much as I love Devon it would be an absolute pleasure to see Denis destroy him. It's gonna be a really interesting match at this point considering how strong Devon currently is, I honestly think he's gonna take it, but Denis is Denis and as said it would be amazing to have Denis be the guy to bring down Devon right now

John said he was happy to hold Denis in the first round. In the second round he tried hook but Denis twisted his wrist in an uncomfortable position. Later rounds his stamina was not good and he was tired. He said Denis is very strong, but he needs to gain more to beat Larratt

3:20.. John also talking about feeling dizzy during the match.. And lack of oxygen.. Same as Levan said in his video.. That LOTT location really does seem very cramped and needs to be changed.. Especially when you consider that LOTT requires 6 matches and not 3 or 4 like East vs West..
Congrats to Denis. Glad to see his comeback went well. John though has absolutely nothing left to prove. This loss does absolutely nothing to tarnish his overall position in the sport of arm wrestling as he is still the 🐐. No one has even come close to reigning on top for as long as John has and even at the age of 59 years old (damn near 60) is still giving the upper echelons of Arm Wrestling a run for there money. Congrats and much respect for both John and Denis.

when John goes back to 95-100 kg from these Open monsters, those people will feel easy, that weight cap will be a nice cushion for him to retire from. Throwing him in the Open was not a good idea.

Regarding John's statement at the beginning, maybe he's referring to their only supermatch prior to this one - but they did pull two other times, at Zloty, and Denis won the last one, 2010, in dominant fashion. Since then, arguably, Denis has been better than John - John only was able to beat Denis when he was not fully committed to armwrestling yet, still more invested in Strongman.
@@benn3819 yes, after 30 years in the sport, after beating Denis in 2008 and 2009, John suddenly dropped out of his prime and got destroyed by Denis in 2010. Couldn't be like Denis says in all his interviews, that at that point he was new and inexperienced in the sport, didn't train properly, learned from his two losses vs. John, adjusted his training, and came back stronger and defeated the same John, eh?
@@benn3819 John also said many times he is as strong right now as he ever was. Stop f***ing making excuses. Denis is just a better armwrestler, and any version of Denis from 2010 on would have beaten any John from any decade.
