It’s funny how much he’s changed. I remember seeing them and hearing them for the first time waaaay back in 07 when they toured with dragon force, also a first. Back then I thought Paul looked like Michael C Hall in Dexter, kept giggling until Selkies. Then I was a fan ever since.

I sorta met them... back during the Great Misdirect tour, we got to the venue early, and there was a bar next door, so we went in for a few beers, and BTBAM walks in after a while and I said hi but that was it.

Just watching this now and a little piece of me broke hearing Paul say he doesn’t remember “All Bodies”. It was my favorite song before Colors, they played it as the finale on crowd request at Slim’s in SF right after Colors’ release (My first time seeing them live), and it’s the track I showed my friends to convert them into BTBAM fans. Glad he bookmarked the cover though. Hopefully I’ll hear it again at a future show. Love this band to the grave.

I’ve been racking my brain for a couple years now (on and off) piecing together Selkies. Tabs seem off, the riffing is hard to follow watching live videos, and I can’t distinguish the guitars well enough on the studio recording to make a good assessment.
