You've done their softer songs til now. Check out Outro Tear live, Run BTS (the song - live at Busan - last October) has a W in the upper right corner. Fire is another good one. Glad you quickly figured out which one was Jin too.

Mic Drop hit me like the proverbial ton of bricks when the MV dropped on 11/24/17 so I prefer the remix but I like the original too. I highly recommend Spring Day, which gets my vote for best kpop song of all time. Watch a live version or two when you get the chance. Beautifully expressive choreo that made me gasp and cry when I got what it was trying to convey.

@@K-RossReacts I don't want to spoil anything but it's hard to resist putting some of these culturally important older songs into context and giving you a bit of the backstory that informed how people listened to and understood them when they were released, or at least my personal experience. Too bad you can't time travel and hear the songs when they were new. When the Mic Drop remix was released I noted the date because my primary takeaways were that the axis of the pop music world had just shifted to Seoul and that BTS was going to be a global phenomenon on a level not seen since the Fab Four. I literally thought "The Beatles have landed." ARMY hates that comparison but for old farts like me it's high praise about BTS's impact rather than a musical comparison. Spring Day is one of two kpop songs I listen to regularly that are linked to the Sewol Ferry tragedy, the other being The Light by defunct girl group The Ark. The Sewol Ferry sinking is an important incident in recent Korean history that still resonates today. Spring Day isn't literally about that tragedy but if you don't know about it I think it's worth researching and keeping in the back of your mind as you listen to the song.

I am so glad you found the original. (I like the darker music too, wait till you get to More 😂) The original is darker and more poetic. I love them both. I like the use of English in the remix. The black and White bit was BTS Leader and Main Rapper and main lyricist RM. The 3nd Rapper with the bleached hair is Suga (aka Agust D) is the main Producer of the 7 of them. He's an award wining Producer and one of the fastest Rappers in Kpop. His latest solo Album D-Day recently smashed Drakes Record for selling over 1million Physical copies of his album on it's release date. The First Rapper starts out is J Hope also a lyricist, composer and Producer. Who's as a solo artist holds the recorded for the most tickets sold for the huge Chicago Lollapalooza Festival . He's the only act to sell over 120,000 tickets and it was live streamed worldwide. I watched it on the live stream here in the UK.

It’s okay to be wrong on your theories. BTS music is often very deep, layers and hard for non-Koreans to parse the cultural references. The album Black Swan is on is a concept album built around the Map of the Soul theory by Karl Jung. This song is from the Wings album which is a concept album drawing inspiration from the novel Damian by Herman Hesse. This isn’t easy stuff to understand on a first pass of the lyrics. You are doing great.

There are few reacting to the original one! Glad you did ! Personally I don't have a preference. Just a little info: There is a Japanese version with a little bit different MV . (You can check it out on your own if you want) As Japan is the biggest K-Pop market, even bigger than Korean if I remember right, they have japanese versions of their lead songs . But I prefer their songs originally written in Japanese, like: Your eyes tell, Crystal Snow,Film out . Incredible vocals on these ones !!

I like original version so much more then remix, and remix is great especially for american market so no wonder they make video for remix, like choures is full in english in remix so yeah it might be hitting with more people, I don't know bc I don't care in what language is song. So I agree with you 100% original is so much darker and you feel them more, more raw and I put orginal on my playlist always. Hmm if you ask about classic BTS bangers then like some said Fire, Dope, then maybe Anpanman, Run BTS, Attact on bangtan, Jump, Persona, Idol, Dionysus, Fake love. (Dynamite Butter and Permision to dance their trio of english songs) If yiu ask about more dance songs, edm that would be Best of me, So what, Stay, Don't leave me, Wings, 21s ceuntry girl, If we talk chill, clam, even melancholy songs then hmm Zero o'clock, Live goes on, Spring day, Blue & grey, Telepathy, Butterfly, Home, Make it right, Yet to come, For youth, Film out, Just one day, Her, Love Yourself, Paradise, 134340. There so much chill songs that I have to stop myself.... Wow I wanted to give few songs but it become full list, sorry.

Mic Drop MV is iconic, but I rarely listen to the music itself without the visual aspect. I especially like the live performances (they are fire!). Personally I prefer other BTS songs like Black Swan, Paradise or Love Maze (well basically the entire Love Yourself: Tear album ;D) PS: kudos to you in making me watch a BTS reaction after a looong time😆

Oh the remix I really like the remix however I prefer the live version with a live band with the heavy bass and I love the extra explosive dance breaks. But then I've seen it live. There are live perfornance's at award show's and concerts plus there are Practice video's of the original they are all high heavy hitting impacted and how they do it I don't know.

Just to say their 20 anniversary just passed on 13 June. There's 10year story in print has just gone on sale I ordered my copy last night on via Amazon UK and it arrived 3 hours ago and I'm finding it hard to put down.

I think this MV has brought in a lot of new fans. It's what hooked me 😁. My next pick is On Kinetic Manifesto Film, it's WOW. Hopefully some day you can eventually check out The BTS Bangtan 7 Guide by Taylor. I think it's good if reactors get to know their music beforehand but it's a great guide when you're ready ✌️💜. It's long and a lot to read (the captions are in English though) but we don't mind! We love watching ppl react to it

Btw... This is the movie "Batman Cave" This song is about their haters...they had many haters saying you can't wear makeup, you can't dance if you rap. At one point (and there were a lot of negative comments) RM had an angry look (not too often for him). RM said, "I'll prove it (to you). I'll try to find the clip and send it to you.

Not Today - yes please for bext. A call to arms song! MV for Mic Drop is so detailed if you know to look for it. They start off in an interrogation room with yonnes of mics and cameras pointing at them to show how they have been really minutely dissected by tge medua and their haters. They move to a prison where they have a little more freedom than the interrogation room but still people trying to put them in a box and investigate them. At the end of the day though they are really good and have gained lots of trophies and they work really hard. The haters are depicted in black hoodies (often the case in their MVs) and start by throwing bombs (hate) at BTS. In the scene with the explosion their haters are roasted, on fire and falling from the sky. RM raps "Mic drop, bam" and finger shoots at the haters, they drop from view in the interrogation room. As this is BTS's final farewell to the haters RM says haters gonna hate, players gonna play, live a life man, good luck. They realise that no matter what there will always be haters but they will keep playing so good luck to the haters. They aren't looking for apologies anymore, they just don't care if people still hate on them cos they will keep doing what they do so well. Love this song. Prefer the original too although i have both on my playlist and i alternate depending on my mood 💜

If it's the coloured coded beware it'll have loads of problems with translations and it's not official it's someone trying to cash off BTS and they'll be using google translate and will often not even indicate who's singing correctly. Oh they cut it short. To get the full impact you'll have to see and hear them do it live with the live band. But then their live performances are much better that their studio versions. I will always prefer the live version to the remix not that the remix is bad it's just isn't as hard hitting.
