Suga actually produced the dance break beat 9 years ago and ON was released in 2020. They incorporated it into a song 7 years later. That's incredible.

Dynamite was great but as J Hope put it, Dynamite was disco pop designed to bring comfort to people during the pandemic. On is complex with meaningful lyrics, use of African American sounds and production, complexly choreographed and most importantly an original composition. Dynamite was one of a limited number of songs not written in house. As such, to me On is essential BTS whereas Dynamite is simply fun BTS.
Age, color, gender, sexuality, none of that matters to BTS. That's why everyone can enjoy them. Good different music, incredible energy and dancing, love and care they have for each other all blends together so magically.

Yes, this is a "one-take". They performed it multiple times (in the L.A. heat) until the members were happy with it. Just a correction. It's not a "one-take". If they performed multiple times, it's definitely not a one-take. A one-take means they only had to do it one time. And a one-shot means there are no cuts. This is neither. If you want to see a one-shot video (but not a one-take bc of course they had to do it multiple times to get the best version...they are perfectionists), Save Me is one-shot, as in shot at one continuous time, no cuts.

@@carenroseangeliecabezas6521 Have you seen the making of this video? It’s not one shot. In the take that shows the drones filming them, you see that the drones are flying around them at chest level. If the wide shots, close ups, and drone shots were being all filmed at the same time during a continuous performance, we’d see the drones in the shots, as well as the camera operator with the gimble in the wide shots. Even videos that they want to look like ones shots are not - like Chicken Noodle Soup was made to look continuous in the camera work but actually had edits. Their only true one shot MV is Save Me.
You have the term "one-shot" and "one take" confused. And this MV is neither of those things. "One Shot" means one camera shoots one continuous shot with zero breaks in filming. This is obviously not the case. All you need to do is watch the music video to figure that out. "One take" means that each particular scene was filmed only one time. You want us to believe that BTS was totally satisfied with the first take of every scene in the video. They said "OK, we don't need to do another take because this one is perfect" for every single shot? LMAO Maybe what you mean is that it was filmed live performance style? All the cameras recording at the same time while BTS ran through the entire performance? That's also not true. It's not logistically possible to film the overhead shots without capturing the low-to-ground drones and boom rigs in the shot. Also, COSTUME CHANGES.
Sienna Lalau did the choreo for this and is also dancing in it (see shorter girl with the yellow/black outfit with the other 3 dancers near the beginning of the video). She also did the choreo for the mv for BTS "ON: ...Manifesto.." official video: Sienna Lalau, from the LA area, did this when still in her teens. She appears in the video leading the dancers up front & center at the beginning of the video. Sienna also choreographed BTS's "Dionysius" performance dance (watch it live, amazing).
Why do Bts have so many fans? Those who like rap, those who like singing, those who like dance, lirics positivity, strength and emphaty, those who like production, who like filming... Those who just appreciate good work, or those who just enjoy a group of friends doing music or playing games.. for BTS On live performance, i highly recommended "BTS ON at grand central terminal on tonight show". U can feel their energy performance not just by BTS but also by the dancers, esp on the break dance part. All the dancers shouting energetically that make the performance become more powerful 🔥
Korean camera work and Music videos are godly and on another level. Whether it be a comeback(for groups when they release a new album/song) live show, award show, or a concert they don't pull any punches.

I have so many favorite songs and MVs I love, but "ON" Kinetic Manifesto Film is my favorite of all times. This is Stomp The Yard meets DrumLine meets Krump dancing. This should be a National Anthem. Awesome Reaction! 🥰

Again great reaction. This song was to be an answer back to those that said BTS was getting tired of being at the top. It was to be the opener for their World Tour in 2020. The Vid ended all of it. They were all depressed most of all because they had music that they wanted to spread to their fans and the public in general that they felt they didn't get to share because of the long wait from 2020 to 2022. In the end BTS did ON as the opener for the 5 US concerts and the 2 Seoul concerts before they went on vacation but they said it lost its power but they were happy that they were able to share it with the fans. I feel that every time I see that song I think of the stepping they do at halftime shows at HBCUs. They truely know how to utilize music and dance of all kinds to bring the best shows to those that love their music. They deserve their rest. This is my favourite video to recommend to people who haven't seen or heard BTS it just shows so much of their talent that most people dont get to see from vocals to rap to choreo to the quality of their videos and it's still only a bit of what they can do. Their versatility is wild
This is their grown mature versions of themselves *They teamed up with UCLA Brass The Blue Devils MARCHING BAND along with dancers known as THE LAB and a GOSPEL CHOIR. They filmed at the most famous Los Angeles Dam. The kinetic manifesto film is a preview video of their full “ON” choreography since they only do the dance break part in their official MV* when this came out I was like this the whole time 🙀👀 then toward the end, I couldn’t explain it at all I had no words it literally gives me N.O with Not Today and We are Bulletproof vibes that I found later through interviews that this title track is reverse of their 2013 title track “N.O” from their second album ‘O!RUL8,2?’, our guys definitely didn’t come to play, once I heard it I knew it was the title track.* Like OMG the others are playing the drums behind Suga and our man Jin front & center. I did notice Jin wasn’t part of the dance break b/c he said it was very difficult for him which is perfectly fine & understandable, he has been doing so great along with RM and Suga with their dancing & vocalizing. I’m so proud of their improvement 😵😻 The more I listen and many fans have their theories but I think what theyre basically saying is no matter what negativity or challenges comes their way they’ll overcome it together when they say “Bring it, Bring the pain”, I wish every kpop artist had that mindset because there would’ve been less disbandment or members leaving their groups. Also, I believe the backup dancers representing the ARMY 💪🏽 which is saying that the fans and BTS have each other’s back, theyre willing to go out of their way to help each other and others to get through hardship. Theyve mixed in allot of their old dance movements with this new choreography, there’s so much symbolism going on within their dancing including the fake tattoos on Taehyung’s face & neck which he wanted to use for this concept. *Their outfits symbolize the Light & Dark, which they’re embracing both sides to balance themselves* #ON #BTS

They never got to perform this in front of an audience. Covid hit. Their tour was cancelled. But they said if they ever got to be in front of an audience again, they would perform "On" first.
